Ubers Teambats!

Finally, they have reached Ubers! Just to clarify, teambats also support DW Ubers!

• Introduction

In a teambat you are assigned to one team with various other competitors and together you create a team based on specific restrictions given to you in a specified amount of time (usually about 30 minutes). Some restrictions may be for both teams (such as no using any of the top 10 Pokemon in X month's usage stats) and some may be for only one team (like if you're assigned a Pokemon; Groudon could be assigned to team 1 and Kyogre to team 2). After you build your team, you go fight the other team!

The team assigning will be done in #pokemon, and as the teams are assigned you will be redirected to #team1 or #team2, respectively. For the battle, one member is chosen by their team to battle for their team, they may consult their actions with their teammates. It can be very stressful during these teambats as you have a limited amount of time and your teammates may not be the most reliable, but that's part of the fun! Sometimes unique, potentially tier-changing discoveries may be found in these teambats!

These teambats' purpose will be to encourage more and more people to play the Ubers tier, by introducing new players to veteran players as they teambuild together. If you feel you need an introduction to the Ubers tier, feel free to hop on and join #ubers, but the teambats will take place in #pokemon. Teambats can be as large as the number of people that want to participate in them. Generally, try to keep the teams at 3-5 people.

• The Schedule

The teambats will occur as much as possible, there are no specific days, but will be limited to one per day. Hosts, feel free to start a teambat whenever you think is the right time (you have enough people). But, because we do not have scheduled hours, make sure you do post in the thread. Else, the thread will go out of control.

• Hosts

The users who may start a teambat are everyone with OPs higher ( @+ ) in #pokemon, and specfically the Ubers team;

I'd prefer that the host does not participate so as to reduce bias. If for some reason there are not enough people and the host has to participate, make sure the theme is even for both sides (for example, both teams have to build around the same Pokemon).

If you think you can and should become a Ubers Teambat host, contact either bojangles, Poppy, or myself, and we will discuss it. However if you want to step down from being a host, contact me and I will immediately change it.

Hosting 101
-Come up with a creative twist, but try to stick to something in the current metagame (ie, no unbanning stuff for a teambat)
-Split the players to two teams using the script (that was generously given to us by Charmander)
-Send the teams to #team1 and #team2
-Give them 30 minutes to make a team (if it's a harder theme, longer is fine)
-Get a pastebin from both teams of the teams they have made (if the host plays this step is unneeded and will happen after the battle ends)
-Have both battlers record the battle.
-Post here saying you had a teambat in this format:

The captain, aka the one who battles for the team, will be decided by the team. Every member of the winning team will receive 1 point, whereas the losing team will not get anything. The leaderboard will be reset every month.

As a makeup for Thursday and Saturday, I've decided to host a teambat today. It was quite successful actually; I was pleasant to see that the teams have worked together, be it by teambuilding, or helping at the battle- it was just nice to see.
