Yahoo!! Just registered, not with the team I wanted (I was mid-way into a Battle Subway streak so I couldn't edit my Battle Box) but hey, I'm just a player.

Let's all hope we qualify and not get massive D/Cs. Also, keep us updated on BW2 stuff that slips under any radar!

I know that, I just have priorities in what I'm doing. I admit that I worded that horribly and I just meant that I was working on wifi OU teams. I wouldn't be caught dead using a rain team, and honestly am only mentioning Keldeo as a reminder to myself. Sorry for the confusion.

Confirming as signed up on the PGL.
Not confirmed as registering, i'm still sorting out my team and I literally had a brain wave that altered half my team and the whole of my former strategy. I will most likely register by the weekend as I practice in free mode.

One pokemon is hopefully gonna wreck stuff up.

I been practicing on Random Matchup with my current team, and I'm considering maybe not signing up...My setup's folding. Feels like I'm not gonna be hanging well with the competition. Either I should start from scratch, maybe sit this one out...

I'm using this fun team i've been testing out but garchomps giving me issues. Going to perfect it before I register. My younger brother,his friend, and my friend will be playing so It'll be a lot of fun! Anyone know if there will be age division splits? I think the beginning cup or some other japanese tournament had age divisions on a wifi tourney.

Last time I entered a WiFi friendly, literally about half the people I played against disconnected as soon as I used Accelgor Final Gambit on their best counter to my team (I'm not sure if that's because it's obscure or if they think it's a cheap shot...), with a further quarter disconnecting when I've clearly won... hopefully using a slightly less gimmicky team this time will annoy fewer people.

So after a bit of play testing, it looks like my college internet is incredibly shaky in that it seems to disconnect my DS about 10 minutes into any trade / battle. I'll try to see if there's anything I can do to fix this, but this may just mean I might not be able to enter the tournament (which is a same because I'm super excited for it!)

I am slowly replacing my VGC teams with shiny members so hopefully that shall cause lesser disconnects from my opponents.

Kinda derpy question, but why would making them shiny cause them to DC less? Most people see shinies on RM and go "OMGHAXWTFBBQ" ...Save for the ones who do it themselves.

My guess is that you know you'll be facing people who do the same and are ashamed to lose to possibly-legitimately-bred-and-raised Pokemon?

...On another note, I ain't backing out. Spent a couple days tweaking my team before I register. I wanna get this right.

Now that people can register and lock battle boxes, I was able to see exactly what held items are banned and what items are allowed to be held.

Allowed Items


Note that some items that are not banned cannot normally be held without hacking.

Quick question: if say I had a Ttar bred in B1/W1, but traded to B2/W2 to learn Low Kick (then traded back to B1/W1), would that be legit? I mean, he could still learn Low Kick before those games came out. But since he learned it in 5th gen, would that effectively make him 'banned'?

Also, Nintendo's a dick for having PGL maintenance right now, I can't get in. Holy shit I was just about to sign up, hope I don't miss it

I would highly doubt it. If it was legal previously, then it will be legal here.

Id imagine that by B2/W2 moves being banned(if they are) it would just mean that 5th gen pokemon with B2/W2 move tutor moves would be banned.
