Need a way to frustrate sweepers? While Trick Room may seem more fit for VGC, my team has strong enough defense to stall to get a Trick Room in. Here are my Pokemon:
Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs Trait: Adaptability EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 HP / 4 Def Quiet Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Tri Attack - Ice Beam - Thunderbolt - Trick Despite that average speed, I decided to let Porygon-Z try and redeem himself. However, he lacks Flamethrower/Fire Blast, which makes it hard to hit through Ferrothorn and Skarmory. And HP Fire is much weaker, so I just used Trick so I can cripple them (unless I get Gyro Balled). But I do need a special attacker, and Porygon-Z comes in hard on the opposition. Tri Attack is STAB (since Hyper Beam has that stupid recharge turn), and Ice Beam + Thunderbolt provide BoltBeam coverage. And finally, since Porygon-Z lacks Flamethrower/Fire Blast, Trick is used to cripple Steel-type and Ground-Type walls like Hippowdon and Ferrothorn. Bronzong @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Def Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Protect - Toxic - Trick Room - Psychic Lead. Specially Defensive Bronzong is awesome because he can shrug off stuff like Fire Blast from Tyranitar and survive (but keep him away from Magnezone)! He is a very important pivot to my team, being non-weak to U-turn and being able to shrug off Fire type moves that aren't crazy powerful. However, should I switch Claydol's Stealth Rock with Bronzong's Toxic? I am not sure about it, but if people keep insisting I do, I will. Emboar @ Leftovers Trait: Blaze EVs: 252 SDef / 252 Atk / 4 Def Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Curse - Flare Blitz - Superpower - Wild Charge A wallbreaker from NU in OU? Yes, with Trick Room, Emboar can come redeem himself in OU with a Curse set to be as deadly of a wallbreaker as he is in NU. However, when he switches in, he has only 4 turns to attack, and Curse removes one turn (I could remove Curse, but it is the niche of this set), so I de facto have 3 turns to attack. That is actually good for Emboar, as otherwise, switch-ins would come and attempt to hit him for super effective damage. I chose Leftovers > Life Orb because Emboar sadly does not have Drain Punch. You have no clue how awesome Trick Room + Curse + Superpower is until you try it. Claydol @ Leftovers Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SDef Relaxed Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Rapid Spin - Trick Room - Stealth Rock - Earth Power Claydol (bar Smeargle) is the only Pokemon with access to both Rapid Spin and Trick Room. However, should I swap his Stealth Rock for Bronzong (lead)'s Toxic? While he is quite defensive, he suffers from four-moveslot syndrome, as he would very much like Protect for scouting when Trick Room is not set up. Despite this, Rapid Spin is very important, as Xatu and Espeon are too fast to be on this team. KEEP. Blissey @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 44 SDef / 212 HP / 252 Def Sassy Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Heal Bell - Seismic Toss - Wish - Thunder Wave Cleric, man. Blissey has always been that Special Wall that can just take random Scalds, Fire Blasts, and whatnot. Should I replace Thunder Wave with Toxic, as the speed cut can cripple my team? That is all I have to say about this Pink blob. Gallade @ Life Orb Trait: Justified EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 Def Brave Nature IVs: 0 Spd - Trick Room - Drain Punch - Ice Punch - Shadow Sneak Offensive Trick Room, yes. Drain Punch is for healing, as I rarely ever give a Pokemon a Life Orb unless they have recovery, Sheer Force, or Magic Guard. Trick Room is a must, as only two other Pokemon on my team have it. While he may seem rather strange, he is actually quite useful, as he is one of the few physically offensive Pokemon that can set up Trick Room. And yes, he has come through. I am not sure if I should go Psycho Cut > Shadow Sneak though. |

I am just not seeing the point of Reuniculus here. It falls apart too easily.
