RU Awards and Projects
Hey RU and (hopefully) non-RU players! Here's a little something that will give you guys an incentive to post: Awards. Awards are designed to promote activity and competitiveness in the RU forum. Anyone can easily earn Awards by simply posting and showing activity and skill within various places around Smogon including the RU forum, #rarelyused, and the Pokemon Showdown RarelyUsed ladder. How to earn points in specific threads can be found at the bottom of the threads in bold gold. The people who won awards will have the awards that they earned in each round recorded in the post below. Each time you earn an award, you will not only get in the Hall of Fame, but you will also earn a set number of points. These points will add up, and the person with the most points at the end of the round will win a spot on the rotating council. These two points, contributing to RarelyUsed and earning spots on the council, will lead to greater things including badges!
Awards: Most Creative Poster - 5 points Best Forum Poster - 5 points Best Thread Maker - 5 points Best Teambuilder (posting in: CCAT, RU Teambuilding, Research Group, etc.) - 5 points Best IRC Discusser (#rarelyused) - 5 points Individual Thread Awards: Winning a Mini-Tournament - 5 points Being a runner-up in a Mini-Tournament - 3 points Teambuilding Awards:
Alternate Points: The makers of each project have the option to award points for doing specific things in their specific project. How to earn these will go here. RU Forum Ladder

It Will Rain - RU Collab Challenge!
Points for regular awards will be given out at the end of the round and points for individual threads will be given out during the round. You can check out who's in the lead on-site, here. Whoever has the most points at the end of the round will earn a spot on the rotating part of the council. Multiple votes on the council will lead to the Tiering Contributor Badge  . Furthermore, great contributions to the RU forum will lead to earning the Community Contributor Badge  . Coming in first place multiple times (2-3) is an impressive feat, so an even better reward can might given for this (depending on your effort :p)! Congratulations to ShakeItUp for being the first winner with a grand total of 25 points! Since he is already on the Senate, no one won a seat on the council. However, those with many points will definitely be considered to be put on the rotating council during the next vote! Because ShakeItUp is already on the Senate, he didn't win anything. However his good efforts in the RU forum will not go to waste; maybe there will be a new badge in his future ;). Here are the main Awards given at the end of the round:
Most Creative Poster - Pocket
As you can see, the main Awards (Best Forum Poster, Thread Maker, etc.) are indeed extremely important. They bumped up four people to the top 5, and the #1, #2, #3, #5, and #9 users won them! Hopefully you guys won't forget about these awards, as they are game-changing, and continue to make good posts! Look at the users who won the awards for examples of quality posts :p Overall, you guys made really good posts so congrats to everyone who earned points this round! However, I am disappointed in you all for letting ShakeItUp win, especially because he's a Senate member... All kidding aside, there will be many more opportunities to earn points through new projects in the future, so try your hardest to come out on top! I definitely saw an improvement in the forum this round, so please keep up the good posts. Everyone's points will be reset to 0 for the start of the new round. The deadline is TBD. Good luck!

Congratulations to Pocket for dethroning ShakeItUp by 2 points and setting a new record of 29 total points! Pocket will get a seat on the rotating council the next time RU has a vote, which will hopefully be in November. Here are the main awards, but note that Best Thread Maker and Best IRC Discusser were not given out due to inactivity:

It is undeniable that RU was really slow this round, as there was nothing really new or exciting happening. Hopefully with the tier shifts as well as a ton of new and original projects, the forum (and IRC) will be active again! The next round will start in a few days. Again, congrats to Pocket!

Hey everyone, the deadline for Round 3 will be the same as the end of RU Stage 11, November 11th! There are now a ton more projects and ways to earn points than last round, and there are many chances to earn huge amounts of points such as the Forum Ladder. Furthermore, I am here to remind you guys that there will be a vote at the end of this round, and as promised, the winner of the Awards will get a seat on the rotating council!

Congratulations to Yonko7 for being the third and final winner of the RU Awards! Since there will be a vote in this upcoming week, Yonko7 has earned the right to vote on the rotating council! Yonko definitely showed some great posts and creativity throughout many threads; he made a huge splash in the Rain Collab Challenge and won twice in Pokemon of the Week challenges, which led to him getting the Most Creative Poster Award to narrowly defeat Pocket. Great job, Yonko! As always, here are the major awards~
Most Creative Poster - Yonko7 Best Forum Poster - windsong Best Thread Maker - Molk Best Teambuilder - Pocket Best IRC Discusser - windsong As you may have noticed, I said that Yonko7 is the final winner of the RU Awards. This is because we will not be continuing this project in further rounds. It helped get the forum off to a better start, but now it's served its time. Stay tuned for some great threads in the future, and once again, congrats to our winners and Yonko7!
