RMT Archive [Other Tier Nominations]

Hello, welcome to the RMT Archive nomination thread! I know this has been stagnant for a while, but, we've finally got it up and running again! The RMT archive index has been updated!

Here, you're free to nominate Uber / UU / RU / NU / LC / VGC RMTs you feel deserves a spot in the RMT Archive. Keep the following in mind, though: We're looking for teams that bring something new to the table. Teams that perfect a certain strategy or combination. Teams that popularize a new set or obscure way of playing a certain Pokémon. Those are the kind of teams that we want to see here. DO NOT automatically nominate a team just because it has pretty pictures, lengthy descriptions, or a colorful threat list. Remember, we are trying to tell a story of the development of the metagame of a generation through RMTs, so make sure to nominate teams that meet the aforementioned criteria!

- Only let one person nominate a team.
- There's no need to post here saying "I agree with this nomination". If I see any of this, your post will be deleted and possibly infracted.

JUSTIFY YOUR NOMINATION
- This is self-explanatory. Explain why you nominated a team in a few brief sentences.

DO NOT NOMINATE YOUR OWN TEAMS
- Please refrain from posting your own teams, if it deserves a spot it'll be nominated.

Nominating Poppy's team FORRETRESS DIALGA ARCEUS GHOST LATIAS KYOGRE HIPPOWDON

This is one of the few rare teams where there are no Choice Scarf users, but it still works exceptionally well. The newly released Custap Berry Forretress also makes an appearance in this team as a suicide lead, and while not a new strategy, it is a very viable one.

Choice Specs Dialga is made a star in the team as a hard hitter, and it really shows that slow attackers can still work today. Hippowdon + SpD Kyogre forms the defensive backbone of the team, something different from the standard cores. The Ghost Arceus is also having a different EV spread to better deal with rising threats such as Ferrothorn.

Although it has some obvious flaws such as unable to deal with Shaymin-S or Mewtwo very well, those can be beaten with prediction and every team has weaknesses.

Just noticed that there isn't a single BW2 RU team in the RMT archive o_O (quantum of solosis is technically a BW1 RU team). Dunno if this is because nobody ended up nominating something or for some other reason, but there are definitely some RU teams over the course of BW2 that probably deserve a spot in the RMT Archive. I'm going to nominate a few of these teams for RMT archive right now, although there might be some that i missed.

all the teams listed here either defined the metagame they were used it/a certain playstyle in the metagame at the time, accomplished some really cool and/or important achivements, served to popularize some underrated threats such as Tauros and Pinsir, or any combination of the three. Although if you want me to describe why these teams should be archived in a bit more detail i'd be happy to edit that into my post/talk with you on irc about it =).

Full support for all of these teams to be added to the rmt archive. Running of the bulls and the queen's tyranny especially defined the nidoqueen metagame imo. My Love and Pester Ball are also brilliant examples of stall and balance in the cresselia metagame, and really show the impact cresslia had imo. Finally, blue hail is an amazing hail team, and just goes to show how powerful a playstyle really is. It also popularized scarf glaceon, which is a really great set. Turning into Black and White is also a great team, and is an excellent example of a stall team post cress metagame, especially when a lot of people were saying that stall was impossible with nidoqueen around.
