It's just speculation, calm down. This is pokemon not politics. Besides nothing you say can be refuted and like wise nothing I say can be refuted either despite how unlikely it all is to you(and know one really cares about what you think btw).

Suggesting ability changes as drastic as allowing Groudon/Kyogre to have sandstream and snow warning are ludicrous enough to be refuted. The Agonist's point is sound; there likely won't be more abilities, and the best we can hope for is new formes if an RSE remake is announced (and both are unlikely).

Anyway, I think it'll be an event pokemon or something. I can't think of any spinoffs (except maybe a Wii U Pokepark?)

It's also the same game that has pattern-based release schedules and very predictable remake schedules too. All we're saying is that new abilities probably won't happen. I don't know why you're taking that personally. Gamefreak work very logically with what they release and abilities won't be happening.

Also I don't recall a pig that shoots ice? Who knows, maybe that will happen.
This is probably just some pokemon-with-a-weird-move announcement, but I'd like to be surprised.

In addition, most pokemon are based off of myths, or idea similar to that, as in the flying bird that shoots fire (phoenix). Most of these "illogical" ideas you're arguing about actually have some sort of basis, and aren't just a bunch of shit cobbled together.

Hoping for RSE remakes as the transition from DS -> 3DS, personally, before they start on gen 6. This would also allow them to get creative and make the Kyogre, Groudon, possibly Rayquaza alt formes I've been hoping for...

If Lugia & Ho-oh (& Suicune) didn't get new formes I doubt Kyogre, Groudon &/or Rayquaza would

The Battle Frontier.

Isn't it a bit curious that BW2 went ahead with the PWT (which is awesome btw) but they left behind one of the best aspects of the whole game - The Battle Frontier. The original Battle Frontier was in my mind the best part of Pokemon- 7 great facilities and got a lot of people (including me) to realize how difficult pokemon could become. The Battle frontier rendered the complaints about how easy the main game story was moot. Gen IV had a reduced version of the frontier which was alright, but nowhere near as good as Emeralds. Lastly, there has been almost no mention of anything RSE in the past 2 generations. Aside from a couple of cameos by Steven- comparing this to the main cast of the rest of the games to me it seems like they were holding out on us.

I'm really looking forward to this announcement but here's a list of what I would like to see from Game Freak

5) A Wii U / Nintendo Wii RPG a la colosseum
4) A pokemon MMO- down the list because it's seemingly unrealistic
3) A 3DS game allowing you to go to all the regions- again a little unrealistic
2)Emerald Remakes nuff said
1) Pokemon Stadium 3 - Equipped with mini games, Gym Leader castles and all the stadiums you could think of. Actually, come to think of it- you could couple this really well with a 3D version of the battle frontier...

It's ok to dream isn't it?

As cool as this sounds on the surface, I'm actually hoping against this. Gen 5 Factory would be impossible to gold-symbol, plus there aren't any huge mechanics overhauls aside from the damage split and XP scaling.

As fun as a remake of the original Frontier would be, my money's on a Gen 5 Mystery Dungeon. (Ninjask'd by Battlestar.)

Guys, have any of you heard of Magnagate? The Mystery Dungeon that has ALREADY BEEN ANNOUNCED. Anyway, my prediction is that they reveal American release date for Magnagate.

Remake of emerald - except that you're not the trainer. You're either a team aqua or team magma grunt at the start, as you progress through your different missions and tasks (obviously including missions from the games, like the weather institute for aqua and MT. Chimney for magma) you get better pokemon (that's right, no grinding, the boss (archie or maxie) gives you your pokemon in crinimal teams, but you get to choose from a list, like picking rental pokemon in stadium 2) and in the end you become an admin - not the boss, these are remakes, not new adventures! Oh, and this isn't just the weather institute and MT. Chimney and such, there are loads more missions. The story-line changes for the two teams as well! Magma gets to MT. Pyre first in emerald and are beaten by Aqua, well, the aqua line stays true to that, but if you're a magma grunt you beat team Aqua when they come! If you lose some of the important fights, then you might have to spend longer, with extra missions and such. Oh, and by the way, there is a chance of failure. And, of course, they will be more than numels, carvhanas and poochyenas available, Aqua reaches to all aquatic pokemon, even things like dragonair and dratini since they live in water, un-evil water types like azumarill, as well! Magma has all kinds of pokemon associated with earth and rocks, aron, pretty much all cave-dwelling pokemon - including stuff like sableye. So yeah, that's what I want to happen, it's probably not happening any time soon though...

Damn... this is what me and friends have been wishing for FOREVER. Dear god, the idea of being a Team Rocket/Aqua/Magma/Plasma/Galactic/ w/e would be freakin amazing. But would rather avoid the mission aspect like with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon those were REALLY repetitive and got kinda annoying. Just a nice plot line acting as a grunt would be pretty fun.

Also, though an RSE remake would be nice, HGSS just didn't do LGFR any justice. There was no plot line to the Kanto region aspect of the game and no point in training/catching everything as you already had an OP Ho-oh or Lugia any way (legendaries like Mewtwo were awesome though).

Sadly, it's probs just gonna end up some sad spin-off or maybe anime stuff. :(

Geez, that'd be awesome. It'd have to have the obligatory gap of the BW/BW2 storylines, though.

It could as well just be a movie promotion, so something like Extremespeed Genesect event might be possible. I would really like something ndw and fresh, whether it's a new spin-off, RSE remakes or new Pokemon (aka gen6 something). That alone is just something I would personally love to see, but lets be fair, usually those big announcements led us to big disappointment

Considering N is actually a popular character and seems to be liked by Gamefreak, a version about him might not be that farfetched.

I too always enjoyed the idea of being able to be part a team in Pokemon.

Pokémon main characters have always had as little back story as possible, so the players could imagine themselves in that role. It's supposed to be YOU running around catching Pokémon and fighting Gym Leaders/Evil teams. This is YOUR adventure, not the adventure of some random guy.
The most extensive backstory they've given any main character was Wes of Pokémon Colosseum, and even then it's only stated he was once a member of Team Snagem. I highly doubt they'd change that formula any time soon.
