Personally, I'd love some news on a WiiU Pokemon title. The WiiU could definitely use some AAA titles that aren't Monster Hunter or Mario.

My 5 guesses, in order of most likely to me;
1: Pokemon+new move (maybe Extreme speed Genesect)
2: New Wii/Wii U game
3: Another Bonsly/Mime jr./Munchlax thing
4: RSE spin-off
5: Manga exclusive for N (or something like that)

And I know that balbapedia(?) had a news thing talking about a new stadium wii game being made right before black/white came out (I'll go see if I can go find a link for that).
Also, if they give new a ability to a Pokemon that is not open/hidden in the current games they would have to upgrade the black/black2/white/white2 games, which is not likely (of course they could game lock it like the spiky-ear Pichu or the griseous orb if it's in a new game).

Woah woah woah... All of this talk of gen 6 and an rse remake... Has nobody considered the possibility of gen 5 being a trilogy? Kyurem isn't whole yet, the announcement could actually be Pokémon Grey version.

No, he means more like a 3rd game for Kyurem.

The amount of power they describe the original dragon as, it would be hard to make it without breaking the "Arceus cap" they probably want to keep, considering Arceus is the god of the Pokémon world and stuff. The new Kyurem formes have a BST of 700 already, and Arceus only has a BST of 720, meaning for a new forme Game Freak would have to go with a BST of 710 or something. Additionally, Bulbapedia stated that there was data found in BW for an alternate forme of Kyurem similar to the data found in D/P for an alternate forme of Giratina. No mention was made of any "even more alternate" forme data in BW2, so we can safely rule out Generation 5 being a trilogy.

1-This info was shown after TVTokyo's airing of the Black 2/White 2 animated trailer.

2-The current series is going to get a major announcement within(most likely at the end of) the New Year's special in January 3rd.

If there is a possibility for Gen V to become a trilogy, I have to wonder what exactly is there left to do with Unova. BW2 railroaded the player starting in a new area, then to an old updated area, then to another new area, rinse and repeat until the postgame unlocked the rest of the old, barely updated areas. They'd have to make more significant changes to Unova if they want to make a trilogy, at least in my opinion.

I can't imagine why they'd want to make a third game of the BW series. The BW serieshas sold less than any of the other main series games(excluding remakes), and BW2 continued the trend by selling less than any of the other main series sequels/follow-ups. Of course, it'd easily sell ~3 million units, which is a ton for any game... but for a studio like GameFreak and a franchise like Pokemon? I doubt they're going that route.

Maybe I'm just wishing they don't go that route because I'd much rather visit Hoenn again than go back to Unova again.

Unova has already been expanded, they shoved as much fanservice into this as they could, we've explored the entire region across 2 games' main games (except BF/WC & Route 15 for some reason) and more importantly most of the story has been wrapped up

N decided he wants to journey around and get people to connect more with their Pokemon while looking for Hilda/Hilbert. I can't remember the exact wording but basically he finally "gets" trainers and how they work with their pokemon.

Does adding even more things to the post game (of which BW2 already has a fair amount of) really warrant a third game in the same region

I was kinda disappointed that Battle Subway got no more stations (especially seeing as the lines as shown on the Subway Map indeed reach the towns of Unova, and then some), but apart from that, there really isn't much more to stuff into Unova. I think we can all agree that they're done with this region for any foreseeable future. Whatever region the next main series game will go to, it won't be Unova.

Yeah, hopefully we do get the Hoenn remakes (or rather revamps), since they've done pretty much everything they can with the Unova for the time being.

Actually, for the most part, those where the SAME models. Apart from big legendaries and Pikachu, the studios hardly care to update the models between games. Almost 700 models is a lot to keep track of, so they reuse models and animations where they can. This is also the reason why there are so few textures on the models: plain colours are "cheaper", both to make and to store as data.

They used a couple models (Weezing and Charizard, iirc) from Stadium ONE, which is even more ridiculous.


That said, my game prediction is that it's going to be a sequel to RSE, belonging to Gen V (why the hell are you people saying it's for the 3DS, wtf), for the DS and with some ridiculous gimmick that will make people play it on the 3DS (Dream Radar, curse you and your Therians).

That's irrelevant, actually (see: Therians). Besides, iirc, every one-form pokémon had a form count of 1 in DPPt, EVEN Giratina, Rotom and Shaymin; they never really made a "fail-safe" or anything of the like.
