Must say, it's quite entertaining that you are forced to go for the 6-0 everytime you play. Of course it will never happen every time and the Random Number Generator may decide the better or the worse for the new changes that it does generate when you lose a Pokemon. Also, hax and misplays can be a huge deficit for you as they are really magnified and you can never go back from the unfortunate moments that have occurred. Another thing that's really annoying is having to come across a generated team of yours that is really weak to a certain threat. Still, this challenge is awesome and it feels really satisfying when you beat (and possibly 6-0) someone when you know you're using a team that is made up of random Pokemon. Another thing that I like about it is also gives you a bit of practice in general. Not only are you forced to make predictions, but you will be able to become exposed to Pokemon that you may otherwise become a bit unfamiliar with, and you will be able to better recognize upon utilizing in and exploiting it when you come across one of your own or facing one. It's a way of playing more, so you'll also be able get used to all of the different situations and react accordingly, that way you can autopilot certain situations where you KNOW a certain play/move will work so you can focus more on successfully maintaining your win conditions. I highly recommend trying this out. |

gonna take a brief break for now (9-1), cos it's about midnight and i want to head to bed. a few things that i wanted to say, though: firstly, articuno was a champion and did amazing until it was crit by a cb absol pursuit (which i guess is fine, since it crit a musharna and saved my butt against it!). speaking of, musharna is one of the hardest hills to climb when you've got a team assembled of random mons. swellow is another, especially if you don't have any form of rock- or steel-type on your team. i've yet to hit some of the mons i'm looking forward to most (notably carracosta, regirock, haunter, alomomola, absol, kangaskhan) but i think i've finally settled myself on the best way to play through these. i started to actually play smart through the last few matches and managed to save a few mons that i would normally have just sacrificed to bring something else in for free. also, bulkier teams seem to do much much better in this sort of challenge, especially if you have something awesome like a wishpasser in lickilicky (RIP bro). or maybe i just got lucky!! also, nothing has gone more than 3-0 with me except potentially gurdurr, if i win my next match with him intact. we'll see :D edit: nope got fucked by rotom-s

Skuntank and Regirock on opponent got me down. #9: Ludicolo | Exeggutor | Ampharos | Ninjask | Zangoose | Charizard I lost. Lost my Banded Ninjask turn 1. Charizard did good, but his Haunter swept me at the end. #10: Bastiodon | Armaldo | Articuno | Absol | Misdreavus | Gigalith I lost. Managed a little Gigalith sweep in the end. He had two Volt-Switchers and a U-Turner along with an annoying Weezing which hit, what, about all 4 to 5 Will-O-Wisps, while I missed 1 out of 2 on Misdreavus. Django and DTC are working on optimizing NUzlocke for this month's stats, so if any of you are interested in starting this challenge then I'd recommend waiting a few days for them to finish up. I'm going to leave this thread open for those who have started to continue their challenges if they want, but just keep this in mind (and don't burn yourself out, we're making them easier next time around I promise!).

Ok, I just started the NUzlocke challenge 30 minutes ago using the NU Dec 2012 stats and I'm really excited! (My alt is andrushka). So, I started out with some good pokes that would make a decent rain team.....

I got rid of the mons that headed to RU, and made it 66 so that I will last at least 11 games.
