But, what bug type has appeared that bright of a color before? Most stay dark greenish/black/brown colors, with an exception of Volcarona and Arceus. But this is trollfreak, so who knows?

Agreed, and the Eeveelutions usually stay in their type's "appointed" color (Purple for Psychic, Blue for Vaporeon, Light Blue for Glaceon, etc). I guess Leafeon is a tiny bit of an exception (with large beige parts), but in general a Bug-type one would probably be Light Green. So, for example, Normal would probably be Pink/White, Dragon could be anything but probably multichromatic, and Flying would probably be some mix of White, Cream and Light Blue.

Well, although I feel a new type is completely unneccessary, and that they should just balance out moves amongst Pokemon, if there's anywhere to start with a new type, its there.

Real talk guys... A flying type would have some tricked out clouds or wing/ears. A dragon type would look angrier and more reptilian. A bug type would be uglier and more bug-like. A normal type would keep the same design scheme as eevee. I'm not ruling anything out, but...

So ... this indicates it might be the first unpaired Eeveelution, since there's only 8 characters, not 9.

I take it, you suspect light type because of the type being ???????? in corocoro, but still, meh, not much of a light type follower here, I'd be greatly disappointed if they made light type.
Still there are some questions I'd like to throw.
Evolution method? (My call is level up after learning Aerial Ace for flying, level up after learning Signal Beam if bug)
Posibility of the new movie title hinting about gen6 definitely being based on genes? (I personally think it may be just a way to show relation between genesect and mewtwo with both being man made or modified)
Possibility of original Genesect as a fossile? (Would love so much if that was made.)

We may not have the type or ability, but any guesses on stat distribution? Remember, they all have some mix of 130/110/95/65/65/60.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Ninfia turns out to be a Fighting-type Eeveelution. The "Nin" part in its name could be derived from "ninja".
