Only Dogfish44, Maxim, Its_A_Random, Deck Knight, & any required sub-referees may post in this thread until the completion of the TLR. Any other post made will be deleted, & possibly subjected to moderation. Thank you.
Oh no, another dual TLR! This time, Dogfish44 & Maxim attempt to head into uncharted territory in Ruined Eden, apparently attempting to challenge a TLR not named Amperage Stream. Will they be successful heading into the unknown? Or will the unseen threats put paid to their chances? Either way, we will find out. In this thread. Dogfish44

TLR Begin! RUINED EDEN Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down & see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive build-up of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock. Scattered throughout the wreckage you see some indications that humans once lived here, but that a cataclysm occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilisation. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at once point been a pillar of civilisation, but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumours of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first? a) Enter Toxic Swamp. b) Enter Amperage Stream. c) Enter Molten Lake. e) Leave Ruined Eden. |

As I got off the helicopter, I looked around at my surroundings. It was a forsaken place, almost as bad as Stormrage Mountain! The elements coalesced here in unnatural harmony, and I soon found myself trying to pick my poison. I had taken three ground types with me, so I figured Molten Lake would be the best option, but I couldn't help but worry that all which awaited me was an assured destruction.
![]() "Well, here we are at last. Finally managed to get past the queue at the loading dock and now we can get to exploring the Molten Lake!" Primary Objective: Scout the Molten Lake so that, in the event of failure, I may construct a much more well balanced team to tackle it. Secondary Objective: Reach the boss of Molten Lake to get one step closer to the Tower of Ash OROAoL (Objective Requiring Obscene Amount of Luck): Catch Entei. "With that out of the way, are you ready guys?" ![]() "Ready when you are captain!" "I will crush my enemies." ![]() "Perhaps we will meet new friends here!" C) Enter Molten Lake

Toxic Swamp - Murky Grove Not interested in a long walk, you decide that the best path to take from the Vista was to walk directly through to the Toxic Swamp. Feeling satisfied, you walk, bracing yourself for gaseous smells & whatnot. After a minute or two, you walk in what looks like the opening of the Toxic Swamp. Entering, you could already notice a gaseous smell, & it did not smell good, as you scan the place. It was fairly murky, with a pond of water nearby, but the water looked contaminated, & was not drinkable. Besides, who knows what diseases you could get. The place was surrounded by a canopy of trees, & it was rather dark. Nevertheless, the corrupted look of the place was the least of your concerns, as you were attacked by Ekans & Gulpin! As they attack you, you are forced to send in your Pokémon! Battle Begin!

Ready for what could be searing heat, you bravely head your way into the brushy forest, on the way to the caldera. Going through the brushy forest path, you notice that the temperature is staring to get hotter. Checking a thermometer, you notice that the temperature is 30 degrees (Celsius). Despite this apparent heat, you continue on, & eventually, you arrive at the entrance to this lake of lava. The brushy forest path that you were walking on suddenly turned to a dark reddish, rocky terrain, & the massive lake itself was still a few kilometres away. You can see the steam ooze out of the lava into the daylight, & it has you a bit afraid that you may fall into this lake. Nevertheless, that is the least of your concerns, as from either side of your eye, you notice two Pokémon coming for you! You dodge their attacks, & catch their identities as Growlithe & Numel! Realising that they see you as an intruder, you send in the three Pokémon you decided to bring with you into this place! And with that, the battle was on.

Toxic Swamp - Murky Grove And so, Short Fuse deftly avoids a synchronised wave of poison which poisons Data, as the Porygon-Z & Nimbus gang up on the Ekans, likewise Short Fuse who surfaces to strike him. Toxic Swamp - Murky Grove Short Fuse goes to duck for cover once more, as Data strikes the Gulpin with a triangular beam, & Nimbus paralyses it with a pulse of electricity, as the Gulpin fires another wave of sludge for more damage, which Short Fuse avoided, before coming up to strike the Gulpin. Short Fuse then fires a pulse of electricity at the Gulpin, while Data replenishes some lost health & Nimbus chimes a bell to heal Data's impurities. Once again, though, it surmounted to nothing, as the Gulpin fired off a far more potent wave of sludge, which, while tiring the Gulpin, deals more damage to your team, & afflicts Data & Short Fuse with Poison! Toxic Swamp - Toxic Vista You come to an area of the swamp that looks rather pleasant, which is strange, considering how murky the trek has been up to this point. The pool of water ahead of you looks rather pure, although it still looks fairly toxic, & the entire area is shrouded by a canopy of trees. DOGFISH44
Toxic Swamp - Toxic Vista Not interested in the sack, you simply turn towards the exit towards the left, & leave without incident. The vista did look rather stunning, though, considering this is a swamp... Toxic Swamp - Dual Lake You come to a part of the swamp there there is two lakes of water close to each other, and there is the usual trees surrounding the area. The two lakes do not touch, but there is a big rocky wall conveniently placed to prevent you from going through the middle to the other side. You can make out an exit from behind the wall, but it is pretty obvious you have to go around either side of either lake. To your left was a lake that was very muddy, but still poisonous. To your right was the same old pure-looking lake that is actually contaminated. Which lake will you go around? a) Go around the Muddy Lake. b) Go around the Pure Lake. Until you do a head count, & notice that Rosch has gone missing! You notice a dark, skunk like creature & some smoke, & the creature has taken your Pokémon as a prisoner! It will take you two rounds to reach the Pokémon. The creature then psyches itself up in front of your trapped Pokémon & is ready to fight! Battle Begin!

![]() "Okay then guys, let's move on...wait...one, two...holy crap where's Rosch!?" Meanwhile, elsewhere in the area. ![]() "Hah, the only one that's going down is you buster!" Rosch: Dig~Bounce~Dig If Dig, then use Earthquake+Magnitude combo the first time, then Earthquake any subsequent time. If Protective/Evasive move, then use Chill and push actions back, but never twice in a row.

DOGFISH44
Toxic Swamp - Dual Lake Your team begins by ganging up on one of the Qwilfish, delivering a nasty dent in it, as the two Qwilfish act in unison to synchronise their waves of poisonous sludge to deal hefty damage to your team. Worried, Data replenishes some lost energy as Short Fuse finally finishes off one of the Qwilfish. The remaining Qwilfish had other ideas & released another wave of toxic sludge, as Nimbus proceeds to paralyse her with a pulse of electricity. You seem to have the upper hand, but with the poison combining with the waves of poisonous sludge are both starting to take their toll on your team. Can they continue to weather this for any longer?
