Poison... It seems that it has reeked into the round-ears. The so-called Trainers are starting to lax out, their momentum shorted, their willpower sapped. The quiet ones stayed within the shadows, out of sight, but their smirks can be seen clearly from the Shadow's vantage point - for the pact with the Figure-
"No!" the Shadow growled softly but menacingly, hackles rigid as it underwent the intense pain. Of memories. Of love. Of life. Now there is nothing. Nothing but blood. And the lust for it. Throughout the time, the Shadow still cannot shake off the pain of what once was, even though it thought it had cast away what was to be. Finally, the hackles smoothed out, and the Shadow took flight, just in case Blackfire is watching. It won't do him well to reveal weakness to a potential opponent. For now, it looks like the lesser shadowkin are wreaking havoc and panic. Panic is good. It will serve to dissent them further. And when the shadowkin finally succumbs - the Shadow's blood ripples at the thought. No need to have a care about the caged ones, for they are trapped. No need to care for the blue behemoth, for it is weakened even in that mighty state. But the rest - the Shadow is intrigued at the mention of a Demon Lord. Not many can hold that title without being revealed as a fake, then mercilessly defeated. The future promises not life, not love, but blood. Again naught but blood. EDIT: For those of you who didn't know, Glacier is undergoing a hectic period in life, so I'm to subreff this round. However, I'm a very slow reff in this one, so progress is terrible, and I personally apologize for it. Do not worry that it will all be for naught - we will get US through.

He did not go far before the dinghy ruptured due to unspecified reasons. His body was never found. * * * * * “WHAT?!” Bellowed the Figure, “How dare you belittle my hospitality! An example MUST be made. You, you, and you – you will serve as a reminder to the others, that my will here is law!” “But I don’t even-” “Wait, what-” Before the 3 trainers can finish their protest, piercing shrieks and painful roars reverberated via the intercom. A Lucario, a Volcarona and a Pyroak – majestic specimens in their own right – were subjugated to an excruciating torment that left them incapacitated. The Figure turned towards the others, and all shuddered when they saw his smile – it is not even cold. It is lifeless. “Now, shall we continue?” * * * * * Pyroak’s demise might have been the saving grace for the battle cut short at the Pine Forest. Trapped under the remains of the tree, the Krilowatt did nothing but rested its energy against a fleeing nemesis. How will this confrontation end, no one knows yet. But it is certain that each will pursue the other to the ends of Massimo, for to win the mortal combat is to get the ultimate healing award from the Figure. To the east, a Dusclops tried to telepathically detect anything out of the ordinary around him. Yet all the ghost sees is a blur – perhaps the Relic is not an object of ethereal power. Frustrated, he started walking towards the Rolling Hills, barely aware of a Togekiss flying towards that very same grove as well… And neither noticed a strange shadow underneath a blasted tree, though the Togekiss could feel something out of place, something… sinister. To the southeast, the Dragozard seems mightily complacent at finally achieving the pinnacle of its evolution via the gift of the dragons – deciding that the Volcano is too dangerous to remain, he lumbers southwards, looking for water, perhaps. But he will not find water there. Not to drink. Meanwhile, within the Snowy Plains, the fight broke off when all the Pokemons decided to flee except the Dusknoir – even the slow-on-the-uptake clam-tail ran away to stop beside a path and heal. If it went further, it might run into a Haxorus, but will it? And how long will the Dusknoir remain King of the Snow? * * * * * Another Dusknoir found itself chasing the silhouette of an Emolga, only to stop. And stare. At a complacent Mortal Enemy. TIME FOR SLAUGHTERING The Lucario, having suffered the wrath of the figure, stood no chance. Barely conscious, it looks to be out of action soon… But can the Dusknoir defeat its nemesis before another comes and claim the prize? And where did the Emolga flew off to? Amongst the trees in the Jungle, a Togekiss is about to know the answer. Resting peacefully, it was astonished by the sudden presence of a foe, and had its defenses not been at place, it would surely take more than a pittance. Will it fight back? Or flee? The Figure gestures at the Southeast, and everyone turn to see Cyclohm roaring in displeasure, challenging the unknown assassin to a front on match. Unbelievably, the Volcarona nearby suffered no ills, perhaps because the cloud-dragon is an ally. Nearby, a bookish pedant smiles as a Medicham fled to the Oceanside Cliffs to tend its wounds, and was no longer hurted by the burns inflicted from the magma. A few trainers, however, turned North, and found their Pokemon safely away from harm – at the moment. In the center of the No Man’s Land, directly below the observatory, the Gallade seems alone, and decided to Wish for a heal. But all of a sudden 2 flashes of lights happened, and it is left out of its element in battle! The Hippowdon, previously its enemy, is nowhere in sight, having dug towards the Dusty Desert, so who is this new opponent? A Shadowkin? Yet the Desert may not be the best course of action for the hippo, given the unruly gang of allies marching there… The ghouls in the Hallows are not impeded by the Sandstorm at all, as Todd the Angry slashes with a yell. COME BACK HERE AND PAY FOR YOUR CRIMES But by then the instigator of the Sandstorm, Tyranitar, and its allies are gone, down a tunnel towards the Ghost Town. Limping, the Bisharp and Muk came to an agreement. Using their life force, they managed to force the ghost’s sentience into a part of the Muk’s body, to be separated. The Slime now lies there, in the middle of the road, unmoving, but definitely alive… * * * * * But no matter how the situation is around them, some trainer only had eyes for their beloved partners. Within the Flavor Special, battles are fought both above on air and below ground. The Gallade trapped within was the only one to be unscathed, even using the opportunity to grab at a falling Care Package – except that its quite a high drop to the ground. But no one was paying it any attention. The Crobat, having scored a toxic ailment at the Togekiss, seems to be winning by keeping on exacerbating the poison, even returning the hax back at the Haxxy Flier by flinching the serene bird! Underground, dark and without water, the Gastrodon is in a predicament as well. Its first attack did not manage to draw on enough water, so it desperately decided to use mud as a substitute, only to fail to hit the Zoroark right behind it! With the sorrowful determination in its eyes, the Zoroark seems to be more than willing to continue the battle. So who’s fall will end the lockdown? Will the Gallade now act? “Good, good,” murmurs the Figure. “And yet, not so good for the rest, who did nothing but travel the continent. TRAVEL, I say!” A few guilty trainers flinched at that…… (we’re not through with you)

GLACIER KNIGHT'S 2K~
Oh man. I finally got to 2k, huh? Never though i'd see the day to be honest, I never posted a lot haha. Where has the time gone? It's been almost 2 years since this part of my life started. I remember one day in class my friend (any old-timers would know him as Pikapwnd) told me about Smogon, and how he found this cool sub forum called CAPASB. Hell if i knew what that was, I just knew it was pokemon, and it wasnt Showdown (He tried to get me into meta game and etc, but I blow at that competitive stuff). So, we gave ASB a quick look around. I was kinda in love at first sight, seeing trainers using pokemon in a whole new way that I'd never seen, an interactive version of the anime. People being creative with attacks, using the arena and pokemon's abilities to their advantages... it totally hooked me in. 4 hours later I posted my ASB profile on the Registration thread, wide eyed and eager to participate. I was excited to use my favorite pokemon in a new way, to put all my imaginative mind to work. And I'm still here, after two freaking years! Man, a lot has changed. So many events, so many updates. I've seen people come and go; I made new friends and watched them leave. And some people will say you shouldn't take a game too seriously, and not get attached, but I totally failed. I'm attached to ASB completely, and no matter how hard I try I can't give it up. The people i've talked to have been great friends, fun to talk to and chat it. With some, we've had our differences (I'm fully aware that i've deserved some of those #capasb kicks i've received v_v), but in the end I still count everyone as my pals. Some of you have been particularly close; I consider you some of you brothers, and I hope you feel the same. You've all given me smiles and scowls alike, and made life just a tiny bit better if I had a foul day. So, I'd like to do my shoutouts now (because I've been fucking waiting forever for this moment jeez why am I so slow to get 2K). Nowadays the shoutouts are short and kinda meh. Yeah, there's no way I'd half-ass these (since when do I half-ass the chance to type excessively?). I'll tackle all the important people I've talked to, and what I say, I mean. Ya'll are great guys. DK, it's been a pleasure knowing you. While you poke your head in from time to time, your prescense is always known; from your witty and out of the blue IRC quotes, to your demanding and, shall I dare say it?, /hazardous/ battling style. You gave birth to a wonderful thing, and you've let it shape itself into a great project. I am proud to have built a mighty harem with one of ASB's finest; may our hoes be plentiful! You've been here for so long, and you know your stuff, that's for sure! You and fogdish22 always find the most gimmicky pokemon, and use them to your advantage. Yeah, you're cool :) Just know that I'm glad we can bicker and argue, and yet at the end of the day, I know we are cool. Besides you even give me voice sometimes and I feel special :O (P.S your TLRs are insane; I hope i never have to go in the Tower of Ash!). Glacierating 7.4/10 Texas CloverLeaf: Somedays we're mad at each other, others we're being good bros. You're quite the character, and I'm glad I got to be your first opponent in ASB (totally let you win though, JS). You're gonna be a solid Dragon Gym Leader, what will your FREAKING MAXXED MOVEPOOL TEAM. All of them... ugh. I hate how half of everyone in ASB started after me, yet I have so much ground to catch up with them. Anyway, you deserve all your titles, because although sometimes difficult, you're smart and you know your stuff. Hmmm I feel like i've been talking too negative. "...how disappointing." When the Trainers got up that morning, some noticed that two others were missing. They gave The Figure a quick glance of uncertainity, and he replied with an apathetic shrug; Tardiness was not exempted. "...if you would turn your attention to the windows, gentlemen..." __________________________________________________ _____________ The Final Lottery gave a select few a rewarding gift; A quick heal, which some were in great need of. A few of the participants gave grins as their champions were rejuvenated; others grimaced. You see... their pokemon were subjected to the ghastly green curse, and they flinched as their partners writhed in pain from the punishment. "...Next time they will be eliminated. Send in your Orders." ________________________ A big ruckus is being made in the Flavor Special! There seems to be two battles going on, one above the surfae, and the other before. The gallade doesnt seem interested in petty battles, and doesnt move! However, the Aerial Aces take off into the sky and clash for their rightful place. Crobat and Togekiss, two tiny blurs in the air, slashing and clashing. Togekiss whips up a most fearsome gale, a tornado! It deals the whole arena damage, and her opponents, but the Crobat quickly diminishes the swirling vortex with a jet of current. Togekiss quickly then zips over to the Gallade, who is in a vegetable-like state, and covets his care package! With haste she eats what is inside, and what? It's refined Old Gateau! The delicious treat that can heal anything does wonders for Togekiss and her poisoning, but it doesnt stop Crobat from battering the bird even more. Below the surface, tremors are shaking everywhere! The two foes downstairs are causing hell, wrecking themselves just for a chance to survive! Gallade stumbles above ground and the richters below mess with the whole area. and then suddenly.... nothing. a great cry, one of defeat, is heard muffled by the dirt, and we see that Gastrodoom is down! It seems the sneaky fox out-manuvered the grimy beast in the darkness, what with some counters and night dazes. However, the Zoaroark seems weak now... but, his owner is rewarded! "...Your prize, Eternal_Drifter." The Figure snaps his fingers, and his smaller shadow, the fiery servant, appears right in front of the quiet trainer, holding a single card, bright yellow with orange markings. "+40 HP and +40EN, to any pokemon you wish. You can give it to anyone as well... unless your Zoaroark faints, that is.." The trainers stare at ED greedily; Will he barter it off? Surely he could make some friends with that precious gift... To the immediate east of the Flavor Special lies the abanonded town, now now so empty... 5 mighty figures stand proud and tall, and it seems to be an alliance! But, there is a problem... maybe two? A Single figure, cloaked in the shadows of dark, stands, statue still. Looking. Staring. ...but not attacking? very odd.. nevertheless, the Alliance sense some danger. The ring leader, the muk it seems, gives a battle cry, and jets of fire spew out, battering the shadow. Nothing. Two cronies, the Bisharp and Tyranitar, belt out some gruesome cries of their own, and slash brutally with Aerial Aces. And it is done. Simple as that. The shadow gives a grin, and falls to its knees. The darkness suddenly glows... Then nothing. The shadows merely melts into the ground, dissappering from the thoughts and worries of the others. The group cheers and chills out to prepare for future battles. But they don't notice some of the shadows slipping into the quivering pile of goo; the cursed slime separated from Mother Muk's body.... ______________________________________ To the south, we take a glance at the beach! Warm, misty, and calm... until the Dragon of the Volcano enters. Royal Blue, with an immense new figure, the Charizard bellows belliegeratnly, now greedy with its draconic powers. Now it is god. Now, it has the power. IT. IS. INVINCIBLE. ..or so it thinks. However, Charizard gets a lucky break, as its opponent, the Cyclohm, is seemingly parazylled out of fear. I guess it didnt have any actions... The transformed Charizard wishes to test out its new powers and form, and prove its the dominant dragon, and gargles up a massive novablast! What!?! i've never seen such an attack! Bright Blue flames bath the Cyclohm, who gives a shrill scream of pain. It seems to be burned too... not just any burn though... As Charizard continues to pummel his victim with ferver and glee, the Volcarona does not help his ally. Rather, he holds a peculiar item, a Fossil to be exact. Thinking that their might be a connection with the glowing of the relic, Volcarona dips the Fossil into the water, and almost immediatly the fossil begins absorbing the energy and water, glowing an extremely bright blue. The fire bug chills out as this happens, and then finally CRACK! The fossil turns a bright white! A flash blinds the entire beach, but then when it dissaptes.... WOAH! ITS ALIVE! THE ANCIENT ANORITH IS ALIVE! Anorith gives a little growl of nervousness, trying to find its senses, then immeditaly clings to Volcarona. Aw, its so cute! volcarona is now a mommy! Volcarona cuddles his new ally sweetly, seeing the child as an opputunity to get farther in this competition. the more the merrier, i always say! However, Volcarona hears a battle cry to this left and a draconic bellow to his right! Uh oh, it seems the Medicham from the cliff has ran down to meet them, and Charizard has DEAFEATED THE CYCLOHM! Volcarona has a new friend, but it seems he is cornered by some strangers... what will happen? ____________________________________ In the desert, we see a Hippodown, whose has been given orders to uncover... something. With the discovery of Relics, maybe his trainer deduced that there would be some everywhere? nevertheless, Hippodown gives a roar and spits some water pulses at some rocks! ... ... ... ...That was productive... the rocks seems pretty enthused though, as they get a cooling deluge after being trapped in an arena where the sun shines continuously. The water doesnt uncover anything, so Hippodown uses his Earth Power! All around the arena, columns of blinding light and sand burst from the ground, making a wonderful display! However, not much happens, besides some rocks being sifted up from the lower layers of the sand. although... these rocks are a darker shade then the rocks that were naturally on the surface of the sand... does that mean something? or is it just science? I guess hippodown will have to figure that out, I mean surely there is something- OH WOW. One of the earth powers, now faded, reavealed an Ancient Obelisk! Hippodown must have gotten lucky, and the earth power caught the obelisk, brining it up as the earth power rose to the surface! The rock pillar is slender and rock solid, a dark brown with some sort of writing all over it! What does it mean though... I don't think this is a special relic... maybe a clue? To he north, In the humid jungles of Massimo, An emolga has sighted its prey, a sleeping Togekiss (though not really asleep, it just doesnt have orders). It gives a devilish grins, and brutally beats the pokemon! Thunderbolt after Thunderbolt, and a discharge! The electricity crackles and sparks in the air, making the plants shimmy and jump with electrons. Togekiss cries out in pain, and as the round ends, It seems as though Emolga shall decimate its prey with ease! it didnt even take a hit! Togekiss might want to make haste... To the north, not much happens. A slowbro takes a nap because he is hurt, and that alongside his Lottery prize, gives him a huge advantage, for now he is healed! In the pine forest, Krilowatt struggles to break free of the tree's grip, because HE'S STILL UNDER THERE. Its a shame. Pyroak can now kill the krilo- oh wait. PYROAK WAS ELIMINATED. Krilowatt gives a sigh of relief, but suddenly His Mortal Enemy returns, on a blazing speed dash from its agiliy! This dear gives krilowatt enough power to esacpe the grip of the fallen tree, and the shrimp flees to the lake side? It's on the path at least... The lucario merely shrugs. However, the snow is falling harder in the pine forest.... and.... The green mist. the fallen tree. Something is amiss, that huge tree that was toppled is still spurting that weird mist. The trunk seems hollow, besides spewing the green... what is in there? something of value? or consequence... In the Cave, Gallade flees, for fear of the shadow in the no man's land. It stops to take a breather in the inky darkness, only to run into... another shadow. this one came from the hills, and suddenly its eyes glow a horrendous red! Gallade protests, but its put to sleep instantly. ....will the shadow take advantage of his slumbering victim? or go and prey on other folk? Haxorus likes walking. It crosses the bridge from the cave to the frosty mountains, because it spied a care package! Oh boy, haxorus sure loves care packages. However.... Frosty Mountains are kinda cold. As the dragon enters the Frosty Mountains, something is amiss. The snow has completely stopped. it was blizzarding pretty rough, until just now. It's dead quiet. the Skies are not gray, but black, and the echoes of the wind are gone. The care package floats down, and lands almost infront of haxorus. The the storm... where did it go? something seems wrong... ________________________________ In the hills, Dusclops shadily sneaks behind Togekiss, and give it a battering! Togekiss is oblivious, and tries to attack the shadow! evil evil shadow... to bad it shadow slipped away, silent as night! Togekiss squawks in rage, then uses foresight! It focuses on the rocks, that are glowing weirdly... a relic maybe? everyone is frantic to find relics... The rocks seem to be abosorbing the sun's rays, and glow with power. however, they dont do anything special really.. BUT what is this? near togekiss, a red spot appears in foresight's sight. the glow is red at first, then when togekiss turns its attention towards the area, it transforms to a shiny brown. the earth there rumbles ever so gently... eh? In the Ocean, Lucario falls, sinking to the bottom, and the Dusknoir merely chills out. In the Obsidian Badlands, a hulking Slaking enters the barren land, amazed by its rugged beauty... but a Shadow is there! It gives a screech of death, and its glare paralyzes the Slaking! But the ape merely chuckles, and pounds the ground with a primal scream of its own! The whole aerna rumbles and shakes, because its an EARTHQUAKE! Obsidian pillars crack and fall, shattering everywhere. the center pillar is still erect though. __________________________________________________ ____ "...the game is more interested if people actually have orders..." Night had fallen many hours ago. The halls were quiet; not a single whisper or pitter-patter flitted through the air. The corridors were lit by the full moon's bathing luminescence, which shown through all the grand windows that decorated each hallsend, and they make known of any shadows that would be slinking about- And there was one, indeed. The sly black, that airly puffed across the edges of the dark halls like smoke, swirling its tendrils across the patterned beams of moonlight, effectively coating the entire entry way. The most prominent tendril of the shadow- that which controlled the smaller spirals, snaked its devillish head towards the crimson door on the left, that which housed a certain challenger: Walker. The ominous shadow glided swiftly under the bed's edge, escaping the exposing moonbeams and graciously basking in the gift of pitch-black. A pity Walker wasn't given a room with a window... Seemed quite peculiar his was the only accommodations lacking such trivial decor... Like a demented Ink, bottling up from some invisible spring, the shadow bubbled up in its growth, doubling, tripling its size. To mere mortal eyes nothing was amiss, just a dark room perfect for slumber. But when you drift in eternal shadows, how can you detect an observing abnormality? __________________________________________________ __________ The sun arose, and so did the challengers. It is remarkable... So remarkable. The different lives gracing the mansion. Graced by the mansion, and the opportunity. They were all summoned by the opportunity. The power. The greed. Was it greed? For some surely it was the case. But others might have had other motives.... But they all came. They were the same, yet beautifully different. The early birds rose before the sun could pleasure the land with its warmth (that which the moon's bounty could not provide), and walked upon the dawning shadows that were diminishing before the light arrived. They had their showers, their morning toast and coffee, and suprisingly, none said a word to the other. This breed was a uniform, rule-going species of challenger. Stay separate from the competition until it was time to do battle. There is a solemnity that must be partaken. Damn I am a creative motherfucker. -Thewolfe escaped being killed and fleed to No Man's Land -TIO and Rickheg are bad people and got eliminated because they didnt send in actions -Ullar is bad too but this was his first time, so he only lost -20HP and EN -Engineer and Gerard got knocked out by objection and dogfish44 respectively. ouchies. -Engineer's pet anorith seemed to cling to Objection. I guess he controls it now? huehuehuehue..... -that tree in the pine forest is still spitting out green mist. how mysterious. HOW MYSTERIOUS. -The shadows can shadow slip, which messes with everyone. -A shadow put Lupusater to sleep -Pwnemon, who was asleep, teleported, while asleep, and attack dogfish44, while asleep -IAR read the obelisk in the desert, and learned interesting information! yaaaaaay! -Madotsuki (yeah he still sends me actions lol) explored the ruined island and learned information! yaaaaaaaaay! -when TIO died, Matezoide picked up the amber spider lily. -Zoroark's trainer is a crafty bastard, and gets a new toy. -LOTS. OF. CHILLING. LOTS. OF CHILLING. -Gonna put a Chill Ban into effect. As of now and until I say so, if you Use the chill command, while you have 60 or more EN, you will get an unpleasant surprise. you've been warned. -There is no Care Package falling at the end of this round (also there was no lottery this round, lol some of you added "IN" to your actions. Silly geese.) -THERE ARE 21 ALIVE COMPETITORS. SOMETHING THAT WILL CHANGE THE GAME IS VERY IMMINENT. EXTREMELY IMMINENT. MAYBE IF ONE MORE PERSON FAINTS, IT WILL HAPPEN. But that's just my hunch.  Underground, the Zoroark panted, looking around, planning her next move. With a single name whispered, her ears perked up, curiousity aroused. Walker. Finally... I have him now... There was a reason why Mirage signed herself up for the Showdown, with no trainer in sight. And there was a reason why her trainer was missing. Itsumo. Still, she was trapped on the island until the showdown was over; she couldn't hunt that demon yet. But perhaps... she could grab a weapon against it... In the Observatory:  "He was here! I know it! Just for a day, but he was here! Now, where is the mortal known as Walker?!? Speak, or you'll all suffer!"  In hindsight, perhaps teleporting the fated here was not a good idea... at least I managed to get him away before HE arrived. The Natu looks around on a nearby table, its left claw gripping a yellow card with orange markings. There could be trouble where there should not be.
