Welcome to the second edition of this tournament that will turn boys into BIGs. In the previous installment, held after Tour 9 and consisting of a Bo3: DPP OU, UU, and Uber, twash became a BIG. Can twash retain his status or will there be a new BIG among the Smogon Tour's elite? The previous bracket can be found here.

For those of you who were not around for the first installment, this tournament is an invite only 32 man tournament consisting of the top 32 players with the most wins in Smogon Tour history (from seasons 1-13!) To check the statistics for the Smogon Tour, click here to be taken to a spreadsheet with all the statistics you would ever need.

This time around, the tournament will consist of a Bo3: BW OU, DPP OU, and ADV OU - which replicates the current format of the tour finals.

Unfortunately, not all members of the top 32 wished to participate as they are lazy bums. The following is a list of all 32 eligible to compete. The users in italics did not wish to play:

Rules

Most importantly, BW OU WILL NOT include both BW2 changes and the tier changes made this month. This means that the BW OU format will be the exact same used as in the Smogon Tour 13 finals. Also like the finals, the higher seed will decide the metagame for the first game. The tiers for each metagame are locked at the time of this post (and will be posted below for clarity).

- Sleep Clause
- Evasion Clause
- OHKO Clause
- Self-KO Clause is off; a tied game is cause for a rematch with the option to change teams

The below items and abilities are also banned.

- All items that increase Evasion (BrightPowder, Lax Incense)

Abilities:

- Moody
- Drizzle + Swift Swim on the same team

DPP OU

---

- Timer must be on
- Species Clause
- Pokemon in the Uber tier are banned.
- Sleep Clause
- Evasion Clause (Brightpowder and Lax Incense are allowed)
- OHKO Clause
- Self-KO Clause is off; a tied game is cause for a rematch with the option to change teams

ADV OU

---

- Timer must be on
- Species Clause
- Pokemon in the Uber tier are banned.

- Evasion Clause (Brightpowder and Lax Incense are allowed)

- Ingrain Smeargle is banned

Deadline
The Deadline for Quarterfinals is next Wednesday, July 25th, at 11:59 PM EST. Kevin Garrett vs Bloo is being extended until Thursday. If you have problems scheduling your match before next Wednesday, contact me immediately. I plan to have this tournament proceed as quickly as possible in order to end around the time WCoP ends.

Finally, my own personal rule: YOU MUST ALLOW SPECS. The whole point of this tournament is to be fun - so allow people to watch your matches. You can play on any server you wish, but I expect Specs to be On and for you at the very least to invite your friends to watch. I would very much appreciate it if you could let it be known what time your match will be playing (either post in this thread or on irc, preferably #wcop). However I understand many of you will be hesitant and I do not expect this of you - it would just be a great thing for the rest of us. If you do not want non friends watching you live, then at least make the replays available.
