Dual Weather Alert!

Tournament Description:

A while back, ToF started a #pokemon challenge that sought players to use two weather inducers on one team and make it work. I didn’t play very much of it but I really enjoyed working with it when I did, and then I thought that a tournament about it would just be fantastic! So this is the basic premise of this tournament – you must use two weather inducers on the same team, and no-Hippowdon and Tyranitar on the same team do not count. It must be two different weathers.

Tournament Rules:

• General tournament rules and regulations can be found here.
• Standard OU - Singles
• Best of one
• Single elimination
• The banlists for this tournament are the same as for the ladders of the Smogon University server of Pokemon Online.
• No johns.
• Do send your logs. I got a total of one last time. Please. Please send them. Seriously. I'll love you forever..

Nonstandard Rules:
Each player must build a team utilizing two different weather inducers on the same team. Ex: Abomasnow and Politoed.

Battle Clauses:
• Evasion Clause
• OHKO Clause
• Sleep Clause
• Species Clause
• Timed Battle
• Wifi Clause

So with that, on to the matchups!

First, the matter of extensions. These are valid until 8/3/12 at 11:59 pm EST. All four of these matches were active the entire time but never met up for some reason. I have already given activity wins/done coinflips where they mattered. Get them done.

Activity wins/coinflips and explanations:

Omicron vs. dragonuser --- The activity I saw in this was minimal. I PMed both users and received responses, and today vmed both and received a response from dragonuser. It seemed there was just a mighty struggle to coordinate times and get the match done. The activity has been only slightly favorable for dragonuser so due to a lack of distinct activity differences I am coinflipping. By virtue of the coinflip, dragonuser advances.

Brotom vs. ~Greencore --- Unfortunately, I am calling this one on activity. While according to my final check, ~Greencore logged in for the first time in about four days this evening, after Brotom had logged out. This match would have felt easier to call if ~Greencore had not logged back in tonight, but he did. Anyway, Brotom was markedly more active in trying to get the match done but never heard back from his opponent. As such, he gets the activity win.

Nexuz vs. Orichalcos Owl --- I actually am coinflipping this. Nexuz seemed more active early, but in the most important stages of the deadline (the last two days) he has not been online once. Orichalcos Owl has told me multiple times that he has had trouble finding Nexuz on PO, but Owl himself was busy as well, leading Nexuz to say "I'll wait." Yet they never met up, and Owl has been very active the last few days trying to get it done while Nexuz was more active in the early going. By virtue of coinflip, Orichalcos Owl advances. I apologize to Nexuz.
