I've been using this team for awhile, and I've lost and won quite a few times with it, but if I ever enter a tournament somewhere, I need some advice.
My credo for balanced types on a team is: Dark Ice Flying Fire Electric Ground My team consists of Pokemon that are UU and below. REDONE ![]() Item: Life Orb Trait: Technician EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def Adamant Nature - Fake Out - Low Kick - U-turn - Beat Up Basically a quick Physical Attacker. Fake Out does a lot of damage with STAB + Technician + Life Orb Low Kick is for the occasional Rock or Steel type, which are generally heavy. Beat Up is great for the common switch to a Ghost type, like Dusknoir, people use at the beginning of the battle to avoid Fake Out. U-Turns after 2/3 turns. I chose this moveset and EVs because I wanted an all-out attacker that was speedy enough to last through the entire fight. ![]() Item: Focus Sash Trait: Cursed Body EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP Timid Nature - Destiny Bond - Spikes - Shadow Ball - Frost Breath. Spiker/Spin Blocker with Destiny Bond The Critical Hit with Frost Breath will counter Froslass's low Sp. Atk My main worry about this Froslass is when someone uses Toxic or another entry hazard to break Froslass's Focus Sash, but as long as I get 3 Spikes up, I feel it's Okay. Another worry is someone countering Froslass's Destiny Bond by sending out a faster Pokemon. I chose this moveset and EVs because my team desperately needed a Spiker, but also an attacking Ice Type. ![]() Item: Muscle Band Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd Jolly Nature - Fire Punch - Flare Blitz - U-turn - Earthquake Physical Sweeper, U-Turn is used if a slow Pokemon with an advantage is sent out. Due to Sheer Force, Darmanitan doesn't require much in the way of Attack EVs, but just to be safe, I use a Muscle Band. A fast Water/Ground/Rock is this thing's main worry. A slow one I can just U-Turn out of, but a fast one has me really worried. I chose this moveset and EVs because the high HP of Darmanitan is usually overlooked, and because of Sheer Force, I don't feel like it's Attack needs too many EVs. ![]() Item: Rindo Berry Trait: Torrent EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def Careful Nature - Curse - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Waterfall Potential Tank and Stealth Rocker. With enough Curses under its belt, this Swampert can become very bulky and powerful. The Rindo Berry also helps with the 4x Grass Weakness, however, I still think a Grass type could easily OKHO it if the move is strong enough. I chose this Moveset and EVs because, like I said before, Swampert can become a fearsome tank if it uses Curse enough times. ![]() Item: Leftovers Trait: Moxie EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 160 Atk Brave Nature - Roost - Sucker Punch - Taunt - Brave Bird A Mixed Attacker/Somewhat Tank Roost is obviously to heal. Taunt stops opponents from buffing their stats or using entry hazards, and if they're Taunted, Sucker Punch WILL hit unless they switch and Brave Bird is a powerful Flying type move that is great to have on it in general. This Honchcrow's main counter is anything fast with a supereffective move, as Honchcrow is very slow. I chose this moveset and EVs because I needed a more Bulky attackers Pokemon on my team. ![]() Item: Life Orb Trait: Compoundeyes EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def Timid Nature - Volt Switch - Energy Ball - Bug Buzz - Thunder Special Attacker, usually only stays in battle for a turn or two Energy Ball for the occasional Ground or Rock-type that shows up. Volt Switch is obviously for switching, Bug Buzz is a strong STAB move, and Thunder gets a boost of accuracy due to Compoundeyes. I guess Aerodactyl is this Galvantula's main threat, as there isn't too much that outspeeds it. I chose this moveset and EVs because my team needed a Special Attacker, and the Speed was a great bonus! Just because I added some new Pokemon, doesn't mean I haven't used them before. You need descriptions, or a mod will probably lock this thread. This and this should be read as well. It wouldn't hurt to try Battling 101 if you want more in-depth help with your teambuilding skills. Welcome to Smogon! (And no to Focus Sash Weavile!)

Weavile Really does not need a Focus sash. If you dont like life orb Try a Choice scarf or a choice band. May not be the best but if your trying to power him up those are the best items to use. And if you use a Scarf or Band take off swords dance

I appreciate the advice, though! Is there anything else that could change on my team? I'd be willing to change anything else. |

First, you still need more descriptions than just describing your moveset. We can simply read the set and figure out what it does without you describing them. It is more important to know WHY you chose that moveset/particular move. Other things you should add are: the theme/playstyle of the team, what you feel threatens you/you have trouble playing around, why you chose a certain Pokemon over another similar Pokemon (especially if it is generally considered outclassed), and what the item and EV spreads do if you aren't using the standard ones.
As for Focus Sash on Weavile, unless you are leading with it, it is completely inferior to Life Orb and Choice Band. Hazards are everywhere, and the instant your Sash breaks, you will have wasted a moveslot. Maybe if you had a Rapid Spinner, Focus Sash would be more useful; you do not however, so your stubborness on this issue is really confusing. Have you been playing any of the intermediate/high level UU players? If you have, you would understand what I mean. I don't play UU, but even I know that hazards cripple you, so maybe you should listen (Stealth Rock alone cripples 2/3 of your team).
