Hello Smogon,i am here to bring you my forth RMT (second serious one).This team is a team i made around Tornadus t and a counter to some threats in the new Meta.I made this team also to get some usage and feeling for some of the new pokemon(new in both forme and ability).To start this off I would like to show my Team builing history or thought i put into making this team.So lets get into it.  The first pokemon i picked and made this team around was Birdnadus(Tornadus-T)because of its great overall stats.With 121 base speed it can outspeed the whole tier that doesnt carry scarf.With Regenerator your switches are not limited to 4 switces so yeah burdi FTW.  Next poke i put was Politoed because its by far the best support to Tornadus-T because of Drizzle.  Next,i needed a spinner for Tornadus-T.I had 3 options Forretress,Starmie and Donphan.i went with Forretress because of these reasons:If i went with Donphan i could die to a Surf i boosted with My rain.If i went with starmie then half of my team would be weak to Thundurus-T and other Electric types,so i went with forretress.   Next i wanted a check or counter to keldeo both offensivly and defensivly so i went with Amoongus and Reuniclus.  I had an extra space in the team and couldnt think of what to put in the slot so i went with Imposter Ditto because in being in the front page of dream world and using imposter ditto i would know that its a great poke for lots of things so i put in on this team. You saw the team and how i made it so lets get into the in-deapth analisys. Politoed  LMFAToed Item:Choice Specs Ability:Drizzle Evs:252 Sp Atk,252 Speed,4 Hp Nature:Modest Moves: Hydro pump,Focus Blast Ice Beam,Hidden Power Grass Ivs:The best for HP Grass For being a small frog that bring up rain,Politoed has a BIG role on this team.For starters Politoed brings up rain,because of this half of the team will have the benifit to live fire type attacks...well 2 pokes can and one poke abuses rain to hit Hurricane 100% of the time.2:Politoed is like a cover to some team members because it can takes some moves because of its natural bulk.3:Politoed gets rid of the other weathers because of the moves it has and its ability(moves as in KOing the other pokes that bring it up),because of this it can give this team a way better chance of winning when facing other weathers because your opponent will not get a boost from rain(if not using Keldeo). Out of all the Politoed sets i went with the Choice Specs one.I went with it because Politoeds Hydro pump in the rain boosted by Specs is stornger then Draco from a Latios with Specs and that was something i couldnt put down.I also went with Specs because Politoed is already pretty bulky as it is so Def wasnt something i had to worry about and Choice Scarf isnt an item i would like to put on Politoed because when your bulky and powerful you dont need speed. For the moves i went with Hydro pump,Focus Blast,Hidden Power Grass and Ice Beam.Hydro Pump to Blast holes into your opponents team,Focus Blast for T-tar,Ice beam for Dragons and HP Grass for Gastro.All these moves get rediculously high Damage Output with the a Frog wearing Glasses. I would like to change to Ev spread to something else so tell me what i should change it to. Tornadus-T  Burdi Item:Life Orb Ability:Regenerator Evs:252 SpAtk,252 Speed,4 SpDef Nature:Timid Moves:Hurricane,Heat Wave,Hidden Power Ice,U-Turn Ivs:31 Hp,30 Atk,30 Def,31 in the rest Tornadus-T has been on my mind since BW2 came out.Tornadus-T also is the most well rounded pokes in this Metagame.On this team,Tornadus Serves sevral roles because of its great stats.The first role is being an Attacker (Special Attacker).tornadus-Ts stats offensivly added its great Movepool makes Tornadus very high up as an attacker.With Regenerator you can run LO because you can reganHp after attacking for some time. With its Sp Atk being so high and its Blistering Speed this Hurricane is going from a F3 one to F5 one and destorying everthing in its path. Tornadus-T has a great movepool and a big Arsenal of different type moves it can use.These moves are:Hurricane,Acrobatics,Icy wind,U-Turn,Heat Wave,Superpower,Focus Blast and Hidden power.For this role i wanted to use a Special Attacker spread so i went with Heat wave, Hurricane,Hidden Power Ice and U-Turn,The old tornadus was good and Heat wave is better then Focus Blast so i went with that Moveset and the standard 252 SpAtk,252 Speed. The second role for Tornadus-T is being bait.tornadus-T being bait isnt that bad of an idea because of Regenerator and Imposter Ditto.If your opponent has Thundurus-T on your Tornadus-T you can switch to Ditto get Volt absorb,Gain HP and save your Tornadus. I would like to Improve the Moveset of tornadus so it works better.your help will be helpful. If i need to change the Evs please put the Evs with the new mves to Forretress  Beyblade Item:Leftovers Ability:Sturdy Evs:252 Hp,252 SpDef,4 Def Nature:Sassy Moves:Stealth Rocks,Spikes,Rapid Spin Forretress was a no Brainer when it came to picking a spinner.with accsess to both Stealth rock and Spikes with rapid spin means that Forre can support this team both offensivly and defensivly.forretress´ good typing gives it an edge when defending.With fire doing as much as Fighting under the rain means that yo stay alive longer 2hich means more Hazard.It also takes meh damage from rain boosted Water moves and Thunder because of its nature being Sassy.When picking for a spinner,i had 3 options:Donphan,Starmie and Forre.In rain Donphan would not do good being already weak to water.With Thundurus-T flying around ,it wasnt the best idea of using Starmie so i didnt go for it and was left with Forre then went with SpDef Forre because of Fire type attacks being Mostly Special. Amoongus  Tastic Item:Leftovers Ability:Regenerator Evs:252 Hp,252 Def,4 SpDef Nature:Relaxed Moves:Spore,Stun Spore,Giga Drain,HP Fire Ivs:31 Hp,30 Atk,31 Def,30 SpAtk,31 SpDef,30 Speed Amoongus is the best check or counter to Keldeo. Why? Because of Everything Amoongus has.First off its a Grass and poison type so it resist both water and fighting,withthe grass typing it is X2 effective to water giving it the upperhand in typing.With Regenerator,Amoongus can have great recovery each time it comes in,this helps when facing Keldeo because with the switching your opponent is doing your going to want to at least gain from this(Fun fact:with Regenerator you still recover Hp with all 3 layers of spikes and SR ups)seeing that you only want to force switch and get the hell out of there.Amoongus has High Base HP and with 252 Evs in Hp you hit 432-433 Hp which is great for being a wall,with base 105 SpAtk means you can give out better damage then most walls. The moves Amoongus has is what every wall wants.the things most Walls are Recovery,Good damage and Status On my team Amoongus´s Main STAB is Giga Drain,this gives it great recovery(not the most effective but still good)and good damage.Amoongus has 2 status moves,they are Spore and Stun spore,Spore for 100% sleep and stun spore to disrupt dragons and others.With one slot left i went with HP fire because of Ferro.I have been thinking of HP ice because of Dragons but you tell me if thats a good idea ill do more testing so yeah. Reuniclus  SplitCell Item:Life rb Ability:Magic Guard Evs:252 Hp,252 SpAtk Nature:Quiet Moves:Focus Blast,Shadow Ball,Psychic,Trick Room Ivs:2 Speed Reuniclus,like Amoonus is a check or counter to Keldeo.but is the offensive one out of the 2.With its Psychic typing reuniclus can take Secret swords all day.Reuniclus´s role on this role on this team is to disrupt the opponent with Trick room.Trick room reuniclus is the best way to go for this team because of the limit to only using 4 move slots.CM Trick room Reuniclus isnt good because of no recover and not all covering moves.Reuniclus´s move choice was not hard.Trick room for speed,Psychic for STAB,and Ghost fighting for perfect coverage.Reuniclus is only on this team for trick room and check to keldeo.i would like to use something else so please help. Ditto  The Thing Item:Choice Scarf Ability:Imposter Evs:248 Hp,252 Def,8 SpDef Nature:Relaxed Moves:Transform Ditto is like the glue to this team is has imposter to transform on the switch,it gets the stats and abilities from the poke it transforms into which is great.When switching into Ditto and transforming with Imposter lets you see what sets your opponent runs and lets you think around it and see what moves they have. Last look that the team and it looks bulky and looks great i hope you see cracks in the team i can see Sorry its a short RMT but on paper it was 7 and a half pages so... This team has an alarming number of counters that not only pray on not just one, but the whole team. Half of the threats include Rain abusers which that is very problematic for a rain team to be weak to its own weather. Not just that but other weather teams rip it apart. You need to get rid of imposter dito and put in thunderus-t in its place. Thunderus-t gives you an electric immunity that is important for any rain team.
Thats all I can think of. It is decent but definitely needs work. |
