While Farfetch'd has no argument as why it should be good, Flareon is the runt of the litter of Eeveelutions for no apparent reason to anyone outside of the people that assign movesets at GF.

Being the 2nd most powerful user of Flare Blitz in the game (Darmanitan), along with the fact it actually has bulk (110 base Sp. Def) wouldn't make him OU, but it would probably make him UU when combined with Flame Charge.
EDIT: After a Flash Fire boost, Flareon's Flare Blitz is actually more powerful than Darmanitan's (CB max attack Adamant Flareon with a FF boost does 535.82-630.35% to a 0/0 Rattata, while CB max attack Adamant Sheer Force Darmanitan only does 490.05-576.62% to the same Rattata)

Seriously, Flare Blitz would make it... worse, because Game Freak would finally cater to the fans' demands once and never, ever bother to give it something truly good, such as Huge Power or even Blaze Kick. Besides, take a look at Entei and tell me if it's anywhere close to UU. Flareon would be a worse Entei, which is a worse Arcanine, which is a worse mix of Infernape and Ninetales...

Flareon would abolutely wreck teams with Huge Power, if it had decent Speed. And with Base 130 Attack coupled with Huge Power, makes for a worse (and I mean better) Medicham/Azumarill. All is counter-balanced by a lack of a decent movepool I guess.

What. Darmanitan has 95 Base Speed, Sheer Force and doesn't have to switch in on Fire-type moves to wreck shit. Besides, it has 105 base HP, which is essential to a recoil-move user as, you know, those moves have recoil. Flareon will lose one third or so of its HP every time it OHKOs something with more than 300 HP, that's ridiculous. Darmanitan's higher HP gives it more breathing room, while Flareon would have to deal with all of Darmanitan's problems with a weaker Flare Blitz, lower Speed and the lower HP... While Blaze Kick or Huge Power would give it reliable as fuck moves and possibly make it better than Darmanitan, or at least an acceptable option for it... And why do you bring up Flareon's better Sp. Defense when you want it to use Flare Blitz and waste its HP?

And Entei also has Flash Fire lol, have you forgotten already? Arcanine is UU while Entei isn't due to other reasons (Close Combat, Morning Sun and Intimidate, among others), not Flash Fire. I mean, do you seriously believe Arcanine is better than Entei simply because of Flash Fire?

In the tier that usage percentages are based off of, Entei doesn't have Flash Fire. Have you played UU? No one uses Intimidate Arcanine.

Entei's base stats: 115/ 115/ 85/ 90/ 75/ 100
Arcanine's base stats: 90/110/80/ 100/ 80 /95
And no one uses Arcanine's higher 100 base Sp. atk anyway

Both have ExtremeSpeed and Flare Blitz, which are their main moves.

Yes, it really is all Flash Fire.
