Will Brock Come Back?

Several Factors have lead me to believe he will
1) Dawn makes a special appearance
2) Team Rocket came back
3) Ash talked to prof. oak
4) Ash is missing his home town
5) The intro of the new episodes show the sinnoh/hoenn region
6) charizard came back
7) Cilan's shit.
8) Everybody wants him back

Although one big factor convinces me he wont come back.
1) The writer is stupid.

Haha, two haters and then a lover. Ah well, I like Brock, and I hate Cilan. In fact Brock was one of the best things about the first series' for me - look at my sig!
On this topic though, I honestly have no idea. Cilan literally made me hate the series - as well as the lack of contests. Come on guys, we all know the new anime is worse than the old.

I would just change the title of this thread to "Brock" though since this should probably be better as a discussion thread on him as a whole.

I like Brock, but I think since now Pokemon really is aiming at kids and aiming at cancelling rude stuff, I think Brock's original behaviour would have the staff worry a little.

@samurott69 you already tried making a thread for this exact topic which got moved to the Anime Thread. I would suggest keeping the conversation there

If I were to have a say though, I always figured cameos by old characters was to have them talk about the region they're from and show off their foreign pokemon so that kids who are new to the scene would research them and find out there's more (older) games to buy. Dawn probably showed up to get newbies interested in gen IV. Like how May rocked up in Sinnoh to make gen III relevant, and Ethan and Lyra (?) rocked up to visit Ash when Heartgold and Soulsilver came out. Therefore I think Cilan will tag along until the end of Ash's Unova journey and he goes to 'gensixland' *

*yes the region name is announced, treat it like a spoiler

I certainly liked brock back in houen but he was so redundant after that, don't understand the Cilan hate, he's a very interesting and fresh character one thing I loved about him was unlike Brock he stayed as a relevant trainer after joining Ash, him losing to Skyla got me hyped for Ash's fight with her while if she beat Brock it'd be about as meaningful as Maylene beating Dawn.

That's because only Forums and their respective subforums are shown on the Forum Index, along with the most recent post in each area. The thread he linked to is here in Orange Islands, sitting comfortably on Page 2. Where, for record, you made the last post.

As for this thread, Brock's highest point in his spotlight has always been the first episodes where he was introduced as a gym leader. After that, it has been a slippery slope for his character development where he was eventually doomed to play the role as comedic relief and general pervert. I don't have much of a opinion abotu Cilan, although I can only assume he has met a similar fate.

For all I know, everyone could use a replacement. Particularly Ash.
