In the world of pokemon animals have super natural powers right? and we know that people in the pokemon world do eat pokemon(or at least farfetched.. poor thing it cant win anywhere) so.. uh.. what pokemon do you think ash is eating in this photo?.. Is that a corphish?! :O
I know if i got hungry enough on these journeys i would consider a nice lobster..err corphish dinner..
I can imagine them having a sampling dinner party and playing WHOS THAT POKEMON!?!?!
So with that being said..
Only applying to animal and plant based pokemon!

I'd probably try to avoid eating Pokèmon, honestly. It'd be like eating your dog if it could talk.

The best tasting? I would assume Corphish and Farfetch'd.

The worst tasting? Probably any Poison-type based on pollution.

Farfetch'd is supposed to be so delicious that it almost went extinct from overhunting.

Technically bellsprout would be ok, but I think I will stick to Tropius bannanas, Snover berries and Grotle nuts (hahaha) for me. You don't have to kill them for that, and they don't mind... at least I don't think so. My pet, Toby the Tropius, has not really told me otherwise as of yet.

We have always wondered how foxes taste like. Descriptions make it sound like dog meat: Strong and wild in flavour and low in fat. We haven't eat dog's meat yet, but it has a slightly uncomfortable smell we cannot really describe in English due the lack of an equivalent. Well, they are all canines, we think.

2) Blaziken. Duh, it's chicken! Chicken becomes KFC and KFC is awesome.
3) Garbodor. It's literally garbage. Garbage tastes terrible (you don't need to taste it to figure this out). Therefore, Garbodor tastes terrible.

I guess there are non-Pokémon animals in the Pokémon world, just as there are non-Pokémon plants (or rocks, or piles of garbage, or ghosts, or... you get the idea). I think "normal" fish have been seen on several occasions, though that may be long ago.

That being said, several Pokédex entries mention Pokémon eating other Pokémon, or humans eating them. On the other (third?) hand, that might be perfectly natural if done according to procedure:

"Pick clean the bones of Pokémon caught in the sea or stream. Thank them for the meals they provide, and pick their bones clean. When the bones are as clean as can be, set them free in the water from which they came. The Pokémon will return, fully fleshed, and it begins anew." (Sinnoh Folk Story 1, Canalave Library)

So it seems that a Pokémon will literally reproduce itself by being eaten. The drop in Farfetch'd population must either be due to negligience, that people don't bother cleaning their bones and resurrecting them, or that there weren't many of them to begin with, so once a resurrected Farfetch'd emerges from the stream, it's snatched and eaten anew. Man, that must be a horrible experience.

I know it's not plant or animal based, but I imagine Vanilluxe would be tasty as fuck! Plus, it can produce ice and stay cold, meaning it'll never melt in the sun.

1) Pretending that they are just normal animals we would keep it more down to earth. How about a Tepigling (awful pun, I know).
2) As said and acknowledged Farfetch'd tastes good. Otherwise, we would have a shot at mice meat. Early incarnations of Pikachu are fat enough for that purpose.
3) According to the anime Magikarps are supposed to be just bones and skin. It appears to be useless even in this regard.

Additional question: How does anti-matter taste like?

1) Yeah, I'd eat a Pokemon. Probably tastes like chicken!
2) VANILLUXE! Jk. X) I think Bouffalant would taste the best. If you never had buffalo meat before (Bouffalant is a buffalo, duh) just think of a steak that is leaner and has a stronger flavor. It's really good!
3) Garbodor is a pile of living garbage. Of course it would taste crappy!
