I'm not even done listening yet and I've burst out laughing a couple times. Mostly with the tone of voice SDS was taking, it sounded very sarcastic and how he was trying not to laugh.

Hopefully the next one will be more like the previous ones. Hopefully Jabba will be back too, he's hilarious

Okay, I actually have mixed feelings believe it or not. First, it'd better be an April Fools Joke, I want Jabba back. But there are a few things which I REALLY liked about this one.

1. The 2 man format, it makes conversation SO much easier to follow, as much as I like the rowdy 4 panelist form, you guys really actually got some points across.

2. Talking about 1 thing and just 1 thing. I mean it was boring and incredibly sarcastic, but you guys were actually doing some really nice discussion, I don't think you all need to use big words like "dissertation". Or have it on such a script.

So, the main point, what you guys did content wise was great, now just go ahead and inject a healthy dose of that pumped up Smogcast Energy that we all love. (If anybody doesn't love it, they'll soon find their throats slit).

Did you listen all the way through to the end? Because SDS says it's an April Fool's joke at the end of the Smogcast.

The swearing and general humerous nature of the previous Smogcasts was one of the main reasons I listened to it, apart from the insight on the meta etc. It is still good without this but is a bit less enojyable. Good work anyway.

Just to release an official statement...

Yes, this was an April Fools cast. We intended to show how dry the cast would be if it pandered to the objections of everyone that was unhappy with the cast. The fact that it turned out funny is a side benefit- I'm sure it would get mighty tiresome mighty fast if we turned this into a regular occurrence.

Rest assured that in Smogcast 11, we will definitely be returning to the style of Smogcast that you know and love. And yes, Jabba will be back. We will be looking to reduce the swearing slightly, and we'll come into the next cast with a real outline, which will help the structure of the cast significantly. That said, we appreciate everyone who has commented, and much love to all our fans out there. You guys are the reason we do this (though the fact that it's fun for us doesn't hurt either), and we're glad to keep you entertained.

I must say one of biggest selling point of SC is its information about current meta.
Yeah they DO swear a lot but the info they provide is surely useful and a true facts based on smogon server meta

And hearing SDS voice in this cast made me lol

To be honest no one cares about the swearing, it's all the references to Jabba's sexual performance and preparation beforehand. That's just retarded.

Oh man, I'm so glad this was an April Fools thing, I would have been kicking myself if this was how it was going to be from now on. Honestly, I really didn't see much of a problem with all the swearing and off-topic discussion, but it went a little too far sometimes, like Jabba sex jokes and such.

Thank god. I mean, I wanted more objective opinions and less vague profanity describing the reasoning behind your discussions, but I nearly died at how dry the cast was when I started listening to it. Good thing it was an April Fools joke. Keep the humor!

Also, if Jabba is ever excluded, you're all fired.

By the time I wanted to turn it off I saw I only had 5 mins left and decided to suck it up and listen to the rest......then you said april fools and i lol'd for like 10 mins. only cause i didn't listen to this on the day it came out i didn't realize it was a joke. nice prank

Good to hear the old format is not going anywhere. I don't think Jabba needs to be in every single cast though, I mean Deck Knight is always funny, and brings more class (class? restraint? I dunno).
