Default NU stall... How fun...

Heh, I "Stole" this team from my old Netbattle buddy Mr Iggeh; I think it's pretty solid for a neverused team that is. Feel free to give out constructive criticism about this team.

Glalie (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 204 HP / 8 Spd / 96 SAtk / 200 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Spikes

Yeah... Weird set but those SDef evs are for taking some Thunderbolts from Plusle and other special threats in nu while I spike on the other side of their field.

Whiscash (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Oblivious
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Def / 208 SAtk / 20 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Surf

Pretty cool rock resist, Whichcash stops CB Relicanth form sweeping my whole team with Rock Slide.

Chimecho (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 196 HP / 48 Spd / 56 SAtk / 208 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Heal Bell
- Psychic
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

My second special wall and my Heal Beller, however I'm thinking of using either Light Screen / Reflect over Rest / Sleep Talk.

Noctowl (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Toxic
- Whirlwind

Yep... Pretty solid. No attacking move bites me in the butt sometimes.

Relicanth (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 8 Spd / 156 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Surf

Calm Mind Relicanth weak!!! This set is pretty fun to use, I've swept many NU teams with Relicanth alone.

Plusle (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Plus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Encore
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt

Hey, look the only pokemon that doesn't use Rest / Sleep Talk! I had a Minun here with Thunderbolt, Light Screen, Thunder Wave and Seismic Toss but I hated getting ohkoed by faster CB Pidgeot / Murkrow so I used a Timid Plusle instead.

Rate/Hate/Etc...

Flareon could win if Chimecho goes down (though I haven't done damage calcs on Flareon vs Noctowl), but that's not even a glaring weakness. Yea it's pretty solid. I might have to steal it myself. D: We all know iggeh is hardcore anyway.

You have no physical attack(er)s. Is that normal in nu, or is there simply no universal special sponge that can take all your attacks? I'd recommend Hitmonchan. He can even stalk if you want it to fit the mold of this team. rest/sleeptalk/bulkup/brickbreak; its not like team needs this though. nice team btw.

There's really nothing except Kecleon and Swalot that can legitimately sponge off special attacks. CM/Sleep Talk Chimecho can probably do it.

I always though Hitmonchan was uu in Smogon... I'll try using it over Plusle to see how it works out.

Never battled any people who use Attract in uu... I suppose I could make my Pokemon female.

Lol, thank you Synchronize for bumping my thread, I thought it was as good as dead. Any more comments would be helpful.

The stickied Advanced Tiers topic is update-to-date, so I'm pretty sure Hitmonchan was bumped to UU.

Fire Blast/HP Grass/Shadow Ball/Substitute Flareon actually runs all over this including Chimecho, but who the hell uses that...beware of Sunny Day/HP Ice Sunfloraflora though.

A Sunflora with 339 (max) special attack does 27% ~ 32% against my 252 / 252 / 4 Noctowl with Hidden Power Ice, While Flareon with 317 (max) special attack does 32% ~ 38% with Fire Blast, Both Flareon / Sunflora will either be Toxic'd or Whirlwinded, Yes I know, I depend on Noctowl to help against both problems. However a Fire Blast, Hidden Power Grass, Shadow Ball, and Double-Edge Flareon is a different story. I'm thinking of using Wigglytuff over Plusle for Wish support. Tell me what you people think.

Wigglytuff (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Cute Charm
EVs: 44 HP / 252 Def / 212 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Counter
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave / Toxic / Sing
- Wish

Counter is a cool move. This set says gtfo to all CBers who think they can ohko my Wigglytuff. Seismic Toss is their so Wigglytuff can actually hurt other pokemon; I'm torn between Toxic (stallish theme of the team), Thunder Wave who screws over Flareon, and other threats, and Sing who puts out a pokemon with sleep clause but it has a horrible 55% accuracy.

the problem with putting in wigglytuff is that by losing plusle you lose a lot of your offensive power; you rely heavily on relicanth to deal big damage, and you dont really have a reliable cleaner. also, you forget that hp ice is SE on noctowl, so itll be doing 53-63%.

Dude, it does 27% ~ 32% against my 404 HP / 320 SDef Noctowl even with SE, You probably calulated it wrong.

Actually Plusle is probably my weakest link, seeing as how I hardly use it and dies quickly in battles, It's true I might lose some offense, I'm really having a hard time with the last slot.

Lickitung is superior to Wigglytuff in terms of Wish support. At the cost of speed, Lickitung can invest more into its defenses after maxing HP. Lickitung's defenses make it better then Wigglytuff, despite the high HP.

The only thing Wigglytuff has over Lickitung when using that set is thunder wave/sing. Sing is cool I guess, but Thunder Wave will interfere with your Noctowl's toxic and can hinder your chances with counter.

Well, I guess you have a point about Lickitung having a better overall defense. I'm thinking of using:

Lickitung (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 8 Spd / 136 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Counter
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Wish

Those random 8 EVs might come in handy in outspeeding Parasect. Protect + Wish for a cheap recover.
