Brandon entered the stadium, Mindstrike following close behind. Not seeing either of the trainers, he headed up to his podium to wait. Soon the first, TEA_DEMON, arrived, followed shortly by C$FP. As they prepared, Brandon checked the rules for the battle.

The Pokemon were ready, so Brandon let the battle commence. Soul Edge was the first to move, striking Jethro with a powerful X-Scissor! His teammate, Electro, was next, and hit Jethro with Thunder Wave! The electricity coursed through the Exeggcute and slowed it down! Thanks to this it was Floyd the Porygon who went next. He first Downloaded a Special Attack boost after seeing that both of his opponent were weak to special attacks, then hit Soul Edge with a Thunderbolt! Finally, Jethro managed to overcome his paralysis and hit Electro with a Leech Seed!

Soul Edge decided to take a break from attacking, and instead began a Swords Dance to boost his attack! Electro meanwhile retaliated on his behalf against Floyd, hitting the Porygon with a Thunderbolt of his own! Floyd ignored the Magnemite, and continued the assault on Soul Edge with another Thunderbolt! Jethro meanwhile decided to use Sleep Powder on Soul Edge in order to avoid another painful X-Scissor! The Pawniard indeed went to sleep, but it was only a light sleep!

As Soul Edge enjoyed his quick nap, Electro took it upon himself to Thunder Wave Floyd, but this time Floyd seemed to be preparing something, and didn't retaliate! Jethro tried to hit Electro with a Sleep Powder as well, but he was fully paralyzed and couldn't make a move! Then suddenly Floyd made the room go crazy! Brandon and Skystrike both jumped slightly at the illusion, but it went away almost as quickly as it came. However, Brandon knew that even if it couldn't be seen the Trick Room would be in effect for a while yet. Brandon took the opportunity to check on the Pokemon before the fighting continued.

Thanks to the effects of Trick Room, it was Floyd who got to go first this round, unleashing a Thunderbolt on Soul Edge! Jethro followed that up by nailing Electro with a Sleep Powder, sending it into a deep sleep! While Electro was sleeping, Soul Edge carried on his attack pattern from the previous round with an X-Scissor on Jethro! "Surely that Exeggcute can't take many more of those super-effective hits," Brandon thought to himself.

Floyd continued his assault on Soul Edge, but couldn't help but pause as the Pawniard looked so pitiful... only to then take a Sucker Punch to the face! Angry, Floyd retaliated with a Thunderbolt while Jethro switched targets and this time hit Soul Edge with a Sleep Powder. Soul Edge must have still been groggy from his last nap because this time he fell into an intense sleep! Meanwhile Electro continued his nap, though it looked like the little Magnemite was starting to stir...

Floyd stuck to his guns, frying Soul Edge with yet another Thunderbolt, but it was starting to look like generating all that energy was taking a lot out of the Porygon! Jethro shot out a Leech Seed at Soul Edge, and the seeds wrapped around the sleeping Pawniard, ready to suck energy out of him just like they had Electro. Speaking of whom, the Magnemite woke up and hit Floyd with a Thunderbolt of his own, while Soul Edge continued to sleep, the seeds beginning to drain him as he did so. As the trainers prepared for the next round, Brandon checked on the Pokemon.

Wasting no time, Floyd fired another Thunderbolt at the still-snoozing Soul Edge, KOing it! Meanwhile, Jethro tried to put Electro back to sleep with a Sleep Powder, but having seen the fate of his teammate the Magnemite managed to make the attack miss! Trying to get revenge for Soul Edge, Electro zapped Floyd with a Thunderbolt of his own as the Leech Seed finally fell off his metallic body! Mindstrike emulated the attack behind Brandon, frying a poor Pidgey that happened to be flying past the stadium.

Floyd, barely able to keep going, took the time to chill and regain some much needed energy, while Jethro refreshed the Leech Seed that had just ended. Electro, seeing that the Porygon had left itself wide open, took the time to aim carefully and fired a Flash Cannon, hitting a weak point for a critical hit! Floyd barely stayed up from the massive impact, but found the strength to Recover and heal up some of his wounds. Jethro finally went on the offensive, assaulting Electro's mind with a powerful Psychic! Finally, Electro fired another Thunderbolt at Floyd, trying to knock it out and even the odds. However, it was quickly reminded of the uphill battle it had to face as the Leech Seed took its toll. Brandon checked on the Pokemon quickly while Mindstrike went back to its favourite activity of playing with a Shadow Ball.

As the Pokemon got ready to continue, Brandon couldn't help but wonder how Electro could possibly get out of this situation. Floyd led the charge yet again with his trusty Thunderbolt, and while it wasn't horribly effective it was clear that the Magnemite was starting to get worn down. Jethro pressed the advantage with a Sleep Powder, and try as he might to avoid it, knowing full well that falling asleep could mean the end of him, Electro fell into a deep sleep, sleeping through his action! "Looks like game over now," Brandon thought to himself.

Floyd happily took advantage of the napping Electro, changing up his offense with an Ice Beam! Jethro simply chilled, gathering his strength for the final push. Electro continued to sleep, but he was starting to stir; maybe he would get one last chance to launch an offense?

Floyd went back to his tried-and-true Thunderbolt for this action, but Jethro mixed it up a bit. Using his psychic powers, he entered Electro's subconscious and unleashed a Dream Eater, inflicting damage and restoring health! But Electro woke up, and despite barely being able to get himself off the ground, he fired off a Thunderbolt at Floyd, leaving the Porygon in a similar state. "He's almost got a KO," Brandon thought, "but with Trick Room active barring a miracle he'll never get the chance to fire off that last Thunderbolt he needs to finish off Floyd. Then again, who knows what may happen? Floyd and Jethro are both still paralyzed, and while they've been able to mostly push through it so far it may stop them yet."

Brandon watched as Electro desperately struggled to fire off one last attack before collapsing, but try as he might he couldn't overcome the strange properties of the Trick Room, and Floyd overcame paralysis one final time to fry Electro once and for all with a Thunderbolt, KOing the little Magnemite. Brandon thanked the two trainers for their battle, and congratulated TEA_DEMON on his first ASB win!
