Droplets of water echo through the dark expanse of Cerulean Cave as they fall to splash on the smooth rocks. All is dark, and all is silent but for the monotonous dripping. All is calm...for now. Deep within the rock a great beast slumbers, a beast warped by science, warped by the greed of humanity, ready to punish all who enter its sacred place.

A soft yellow glow brightens slowly as a trainer rounds a corner to enter a large, spacious cavern, his path illuminated by his trusty Staryu. The light bounces off to distant, dark corners, never to return from the black embrace.

The trainer shivers, hugging his shoulders.
"This place gives me the creeps Misty. And it's cold as well. Max, come out"
With a flash of red, a small candle, Max the Litwick, comes out. The trainer huddles next to his, the small glow from the candle warming him slowly.

The sounds of footsteps echoes through the cavern, magnified by the nooks and crannies in the bleak rock. Two trainers appear from tunnels at opposite ends of the cavern and step out. Their eyes lock.
"LET'S BATTLE" they call out simultaneously, their echoes repeating them for a long minute before silence falls again.

"Where is this place?" one calls out, his hands fingering the pokeballs by his side.

The den of Mewtwo, Cerulean Cave is only open to the most powerful of Trainers, but someone knocked out the man guarding the entrance, so any who wish may explore. Although the deeper levels were caved in by Red's battle with Mewtwo after his conquest of the Elite Four, there still exists a spacious chamber in which there are many channels of water and slightly inadequate lighting. Daring adventurers may enter, and Mewtwo itself may occasionally appear. Naturally, this is a cave, so many opportunities for ingenious battling exist.

Long story short: Lots of water, somewhat poor lighting, 40% chance of an adventurer entering and using a random pokemon's random move on a random target, 10% chance of Mewtwo using a random move on a random target. Other logical improvisations concerning caves may occur.

"How shall we play?" calls the trainer after detailing Cerulean Cave.

Terrador knew that the dark cave wouldn't be conducive to his Pokemon if he wasn't careful, but he knew that there was a way around that.

Ok I'm sending out Bella Luna the Kitsunoh and Rogue the Murkrow. Let's rock this cave!

Ok Bella Luna start us off with a Will"O"Wisp on Shao, then use Meteor Mash on Caesar, finish with an Iron Defense!

Ok Rogue lead off with a combo move, try Pursuit+Wing Attack for a ferocious double STAB hit on Shao! try knocking it into the water! Then finish with a Confuse Ray on Caesar!

Terrador was definitely apprehensive about the coming battle - he had no idea that Solstice had such powerful Pokemon, and he feared the interference of other Pokemon. Regardless, he knew that he could start this battle to his advantage.

"All right, guys! Shao, I want you to use Detect to block the Will-o-Wisp from Kitsunoh, and hopefully the combination attack from Murkrow as well! Caesar, I want you to use this opportunity to use Earthquake and put some damage on Kitsunoh. After the first action, I want both of you to use Stone Edge twice on Murkrow - hopefully, it will go down this round!"

Shao, slightly disoriented and finding it a smidgen difficult to see, settled into a defensive crouch to stave off the incoming attacks; Caesar stomped with his right foot, then his left, like a sumo before a wrestling match."

Round One: It's all Murky for Murkrow [/BADPUN]

Bella Luna, being the sneaky fox it is, tries to burn Shao with a Will-o-Wisp, but Shao Detects the floating flame and it fizzles out in a pool of water. Such a shame that it doesn't detect the powerful double-STAB combination of Pursuit and Wing Attack that deals large damage. Caesar finishes up with a strong Earthquake that creates large cracks in the cave floor that the trainers will have to be careful of and it looks like Shao and Bella Luna are injured. Shao's pretty pissed at Caesar it seems. No team love there.

Bella Luna rushes in for a mash of meteors but...what is this? It misses? Lucky Caesar, lucky indeed. Murkrow, recuperating from it's double attack on the last turn, is helpless as it is smacked by two incredibly powerful Stone Edges, both of which are critical hits! How about that for h@x. Jirachi, you got nothin'.

Bella Luna starts off the last action by solidifying itself with an Iron Defense. Murkrow follows up by shooting a ray of confusion at Caesar, making a derpy expression of intense confusion spring to his features. Shao goes for another Stone Edge, but it misses, crashing against the wall instead. Caesar tries for better success but only hits himself in confusion.

It seems that all the other trainers don't like this cave, and the great, pink creature of the caves is not roused.

Round Two: Mewtwo fucking hates small fighting ermine


These cracks in the ground keep growing larger, seemingly annoying something pink and overpowered. What will happen this round? Let's see.

Rogue begins by flapping down to perch upon a jutting up rock, roosting and regaining some health. Shao yanks up some of the pointed stone from the cave floor and sends the sharp edges jabbing into Rogue, but safely on the ground, the birdie doesn't feel as troubled as before. Caesar tries the same trick yanking up some sharp-edged stone and throwing it at the roosting Rogue, but Bella Luna leaps in and mashes the stones with meteors, disintegrating them totally.

Bella Luna prepares to move, but what's this? Shao leaps in front of her and attempts to hit her with her own move! That looks like it could have hurt, but the Tackle passes through the fox's ghostly figure. Bella Luna responds with her own Tackle, knocking Shao into one of the cracks in the cave floor. To add injury to injury, Rogue blasted the ermine with a blue wave of Psychic light. Scared by the special attack, Shao feels less incined to defend against other special attacks and feels down. Ceased tries to finish off by stealthily sending out rocks around Solstice's side of the cave to hurt any pokemon sent in on his side, but ends up bitch-slapping himself in confusion, which snaps him out of his derp.

Bella Luna starts by sending a white orb out in front of her to absorb the energy taken and (metal)burst it back, but as no-one had attacked yet, it fizzled out into nothing. Rogue, embracing the dark conditions, sent a shade of night towards Caesar. Caesar responded by sending another earthquake through the cave, deepening the cracks caused last time he did that. Rogue avoids the attacks, happily flapping in the air, while Shao, clambering out of the crack, detects the seismic activity at the last second, leaving Bella Luna to writhe in pain from the tectonic activity.

Angered at the damage to it's cave,the legendary pink thing of Cerulean Cave appears in all it's uberosity. It's big, strong and very pink, but that doesn't stop it from being a fucking boss. Yes. It is Mewtwo. Guided by the divine judgement of the RNG gods, it's eyes alight on a small fighting ermine, and it sends a vicious Psystrike that smacks into Shao. The tiny fighter goes flying through the air until it smacks into a jutting rock, slumping into the ground. When the dust clears, it's eyes are all swirly and it has fainted. It's trainer recalls it, saying "gg wp," to his pwned pokemon. Mewtwo retreats, but as it does, it puts on shades and proclaims:
"Like. A. Boss"

Rogue lead off by using Psychic to throw Draco into the water. Then use a fast and furious Wing Attack on him! Finish with a Night Shade on whoever has less HP.

BEGIN ROUND THREE

Welcome to another exciting edition of Pokemon Battles! The battle we're bringing to you live has been so hot, our producer has decided to air it on television! I'll be your host for what seems to be an exciting match!

Bella Luna starts off the round with a menacing Meteor Mash attack aimed right at Caesar! The Steel-based punch nails Caesar right in the mouth, scoring huge damage! Rogue is the next to strike, and emits Psychic waves right at Draco! The little fire salamander, however, empties its mind and Protects itself from the mind-based attack. Caesar runs over to the side of the cave and collects a few rocks. He throws them at his opponents in a Rock Slide! Both hits connect, barely scratching Bella Luna's metal while sending Rogue reeling.

We have an encore performance here: Bella Luna winds up a Meteor Mash headed straight for Caesar once again! It once again hits straight on for massive damage! I'm not sure if it can take another attack! Rogue instead decides to turn physical, and strikes Draco with a good Wing Attack! This hits for decent damage. Draco is next up to the plate, and fires off a nasty Fire Blast right at Bella Luna! The blast connects, scoring some massive damage! Caesar takes some more rocks it collected and throws them at his opponents. Rock Slide! This dings Bella Luna once again. Rogue, however, is crushed by the rock avalanche, and remains on the ground. Rogue has fainted!

Bella Luna winds up one last Meteor Mash to send at Caesar. The blow strikes hard, leaving Caesar on the ground. The metal begins to harden on Bella Luna's claws. Bella Luna's Attack is raised by one stage! Caesar has fainted! Draco, enraged at his partner's defeat, fires off one last Fire Blast to end the round. This strikes for massive damage! This leaves Bella Luna on the brink of death.

Hold on, folks! It seems that a trainer has stumbled into the Cave. Fearing the worst, he sends out one Pokemon to attack one of the competitor's Pokemon. The trainer sends out...a Roselia! The trainer commands it to do a random attack: Magical Leaf! He orders the Roselia to aim at...Bella Luna! The leaves swirl around Bella Luna, causing resisted damage and sending it further down the road to its defeat. The trainer realizes that it has interrupted a battle, and moves on. It looks like Mewtwo is nowhere to be found, however. Let's see what happens next after this commercial break!

BEGIN ROUND FOUR

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! Let's resume this exciting battle! Bella Luna is the first off the mark, sneaking around the stage with a Shadow Sneak! This hits for decent damage on Draco. Fellow is the next to go up, and uses Quick Attack evasively...but trips on a rock! The darkness in the cave prevents her from being able to clearly run around! (Using priority moves evasively cannot be done anymore. This was cleared up in a SotG quite a bit ago. I'm sorry Solstice, but there's no other real option since you didn't specify a target, and this should kind of be known by now.) Celeste is the next to go, and she fires a highly accurate Hydro Pump right at the new target Fellow! This hits for good damage. Draco licks its chops and bites into Bella Luna with a Fire Fang! The bite strikes hard enough to knock Bella Luna to the ground. Bella Luna has fainted!

With Eevee tripping around, this gives Celeste and Draco some major damage in on Fellow. Celeste strikes with a chilling Ice Beam for good damage on Fellow. Draco breathes out a powerful Fire Blast...but the darkness of the cave is getting to him, and it misses! What a wasted opportunity!

Once again, Celeste and Draco go on an all-offensive attack! Celeste uses Hydro Pump for great damage, and Draco scores a hit with that Fire Blast! What a major turn of events, folks!

What's this? Another wayward trainer? This time, the Pokemon sent out is...a Granbull! The trainer orders it to...Payback! Right at Fellow! Oh, what terrible luck for Fellow! Granbull is slower, so it winds up and smacks the little Eevee with a full force attack! This does great damage!

Ok Bushido the Breloom c'mon out! Start us off with a combo of Seed Bomb+Leech Seed on Celeste, hoepfully the seeds will disperse and attach on to both targets but Celeste is the objective. Then finish with a Stone Edge on Draco.

BEGIN ROUND FIVE

Could THIS be the round that decides the victor! Tune in now to find out, ladies and gentlemen!

Before anyone can attack, Fellow is the first one off the mark and slams into Draco, pushing it back slightly with a blinding Quick Attack! This strikes for decent damage! Celeste strikes next with an Ice Beam, and Draco follows with a Fire Fang that once again strikes the finishing blow. Fellow has been knocked out! Bushido now stands alone, but he isn't without his cunning! He takes a few life-sucking seeds and coats them with a unknown sticky substance! He fires them at Celeste, and they latch on to it! Who knows what this Leech Seed + Seed Bomb combo will do? Celeste has been seeded for three (3) turns! (NOTE: Bushido is faster than Draco, but turn order did not matter. This was made for flavor.)

As Bushido stockpiles more seeds on its waiting turn, Celeste and Draco once again alternate attacking, with Celeste firing off an Ice Beam and Draco spewing forth another Fire Blast. Bushido is getting roasted! Leech Seed takes its toll!

Celeste takes her last action to Recover off the damage it's been taking over the past two round. Celeste heals six (6) HP! Bushido is up next and fires off a powerful Stone Edge! The jagged stones strike hard, scoring a critical hit! While Bushido may be celebrating, Draco had something nasty in store: it bundles up the damage it just took and fires off an incredible Counter attack! This deals MASSIVE (42) damage to Bushido, putting it at critical range! Wow! What a counter! The seeds on Celeste explode with great force! Celeste is hurt for great damage!

A trainer walks in. He seems to be quite haughty! He throws out his Pokeball...IT'S A GROUDON?!? The cave violently shakes back and forth as the monster lets out...A SOLAR BEAM! It targets...DRACO! The beam hits the little salamander for resisted damage.

That's not all folks. This is one unlucky turn of events...Mewtwo is BACK! It powers up a special Psychic blast...and aims it at Bushido! Oh no! Bushido is flung into the walls of the cave, and lies motionless! Bushido has fainted!
