Ash vs the Bellsprout from hell. This battle took him into the semifinals of his first pokemon league and presented a rare opportunity where Pikachu did not prove invincible. Jeanette Fisher was one of the cooler anime characters of the day and her battle with Ash was arguably the most explosive of the Indigo Plateau anime as both cunning and brute force were relied one extensively.
