Crux VS. Pikapwned
2v2 Doubles
Restrictions: - 2 Day DQ - 2 Recovery/5 Chills each - No Items - 1 Ability Arena: A forest clearing A beautiful forest clearing, there are many tall trees and shrubs around, dense enough for a small Pokemon to avoid detection in. There is a large lake in the middle of the clearing, deep enough for any water Pokemon to hide comfortably in. The canopy of the trees prevents Pokemon from flying too high, but the sheer height of the trees means that there is ample space for flying. It is quite dark here, and humid.

The Challenger: Pikapwned
This is a non-switching match, so the match-seeker Crux automatically sends out his two Pokemon-- Dratini with Shed Skin and Teddiursa with Quick Feet. Challenger Pikapwned will now send out his Pokemon and choose their starting ability, as well as issuing orders. Ready... Go!

I'll be choosing a swift swim mantyke and inner focus zubat
Okay guys time to start strong, Queen I want you to start off By getting the rain to start, so dance like a fool. Bozzy, poison that teddiursa with a toxic. Next queen keep the hurt coming fire a hydro pump straight for teddiursa. Zubat if the toxic missed try again, but otherwise I want you to start making some nasty plots for these guys. Mantyke finish up the round with a bubble beam hopefully lowering teddi's speed. Zubat now time to laydown the hurt, venoshock teddiursa. Queen if that dratini tries to paralyze you I want you to dodge with agility and slide the plan down a little. Summary: Queen: Rain dance ~ hydro pump (teddi) ~ bubble beam (teddi) If he tries to thunder wave: evasive agility and slide actions down Bozzy: toxic (teddi) ~ nasty ploy/toxic (teddi) ~ venoshock (teddi) EDIT: FYI my name has no e in it like the title.

ROUND 1, BEGIN! Pikapwned leads with some normally-speedy Pokemon, which strangely enough, are somehow being outrun by his opponent's! Noodles the Dratini starts off the match by releasing a small, barely-noticeable electric burst. Queen the Mantyke uses her superior Agility to dodge behind a tree and avoid the attack, which is neutralized harmlessly by the tree. Queen then tries to use the cover to start Rain Dancing!! But Noodles is not about to let her get away, and while she dances to summon the rain, she gets zapped by another, now-successful Thunder Wave! The sudden burst of electricity paralyzes her solid, and the rainy weather is delayed. Meanwhile, Pawpa the Teddiursa and Bozzy the Zubat are exchanging a curiously-parallel set of moves: Pawpa lets out a drowsiness-inducing Yawn toward Bozzy, who responds by injecting Pawpa with a deadly Toxic venom! Bozzy begins to get sleepy, but stimulates himself to stay awake by [b]Plotting Nastily[/v]! Pawpa meanwhile unleashes a fighting Swords Dance to get himself pumped up, and follows the boost up with a Return attack! Bozzy takes a strong blow, but delivers an even nastier one back in Venoshock! Queen Mantyke and Noodles the Dratini now engage each other in a deadly dance-- Noodles Dragon Dances while Mantyke Rain Dances, finally giving her some alleviating rain to slightly help her paralysis-hindered speed (though sadly, it isn't enough to matter). Pawpa (M) HP: 69 Energy: 82 Ability: Quick Feet (activated by Toxic) Status: +2 Attack, badly poisoned Noodles (M) HP: 90 Energy: 80 Ability: Shed Skin Status: +1 Attack/Speed < VS > Bozzy (m) HP: 74 Energy: 79 Ability: Inner Focus Status: In deep sleep... Dratini, use Waterfall on Zubat, using the rain to your advantage! Then follow up, by hitting Zubat hard with a Dragon Rush. Finally, hit Zubat with another Rain boosted Waterfall!
Teddiursa, hit Zubat with a Leer, Then slam Zubat with your powerful Return! Finish Zubat off by hitting it with Return again. |

Okay well time todo what we can. Queen trap the teddiursa in a whirlpool so it can't use physical attacks, zubat use venoshock like a boss on the darkrai or teddiursa... Queen follow up with a ice beam on the dratini. Bozzy if you wake up (due to a base 10 attack shortening sleep, ie dragon rush) I want you to venoshock on teddi. The final round bozzy try to dodge the incoming attacks with a quick attack and queeny I want you to set up a tailwind to give everyone a speed boost.
Summary: Queen: whirlpool (teddi) ~ ice beam (dratini) ~ tailwind Bozzy: venoshock (lawl/teddi) ~ venoshock (teddi) ~ quick attack (evasive)

OK Teddiursa, Use Close Combat on Queen, so that if uses Whirlpool it gets trapped there with you and you can continue to attack it. The Hit it with Return and finish it off with a Strong Yawn!
Dratini, Hit Zubat with a Dragon Rush, followed by a Waterfall, followed by a Dragon Rush! |

((Well I dunno why I told you to attack again after you already did so, Crux. o___O I guess I goofed there. You're not really technically allowed to change your moves so I went with what was in your first order. Sorry for the confusion.))
ROUND 2, BEGIN! Pawpa looks to add insult to injury with a nasty Leer, but Bozzy, being fast asleep, takes no notice of it and slumbers on unaffected! Noodles the Dratini goes on the offensive, striking Bozzybat for a harsh blow off a rain-boosted Waterfall attack! The sleeping Bozzy shudders violently, but does not awaken! Will he be able to stand up to all this punishment?! Queen the Mantyke begins to overcome her paralysis, and uses the rain as well as some of her stored body water to trap Pawpa in a raging Whirlpool! Pawpa doesn't take too kindly to that, and thanks to his Quick Feet, manages to still land a powerful Return attack on Bozzy at the cost of some extra energy to rush through the Whirlpool! Noodles aggressively presses the attack and Dragon Rushes Bozzy, landing a devastating hit that knocks Bozzy wide awake! Bozzy is heavily weakened at this point, but he remembers the nasty plot he concocted earlier and immediately strikes back at Pawpa with a nasty Venoshock, just as devastatingly as before! Meanwhile Queen continues attempting to defend Bozzy by firing off an Ice Beam at Noodles-- and what a shot, it not only hit Noodles dead-on, it appears that the rainy weather also caused Noodles to freeze solid!! Noodles looks around in his ice prison, frantically trying to obey his trainer's orders... Unfortunately, the ice completely restricts his movements. The falling rain is gradually melting the ice, but Noodles will need more help than that to break out of there and continue his rampage! Pawpa continues in his partner's stead, smacking Bozzy with another powerful Return-- but Bozzy uses his Quick Attack to dart out of the way, successfully avoiding damage... however, Bozzy looks to be on his last legs (wings?)! Even after avoiding that hit, who knows how much longer he can last?! Meanwhile the residual damage of toxic poison and Whirlpool whitewater is quickly taking its toll on Pawpa, whose HP and Energy are being steadily drained away... Even despite her Paralysis, Queen seems to be the only one not particularly bothered right now as she summons a mighty Tailwind to assist Bozzy in what may be his last offensive of this match! Pawpa (M) HP: 26 Energy: 60 Ability: Quick Feet (activated by Toxic) Status: +1 Attack, badly poisoned Noodles (M) HP: 75 Energy: 68 Ability: Shed Skin Status: +1 Attack/Speed, frozen solid (5 more turns until rain melts ice) < VS > Bozzy (m) HP: 25 Energy: 68 Ability: Inner Focus Status: +1 Special Attack, Tailwind (3 more rounds) Queen (F) HP: 90 Energy: 65 Ability: Swift Swim (active) Status: 20% paralyzed, Tailwind (3 more rounds) Rain will fall for 3 more rounds.

okay guys its getting down to the wire. Time to get Clutch, time to launch epic plan like all the idiocy of captain jack sparrow. (I watched the new pirates movie last night, wasn't bad I was suprised) Bozzy this could be your last chance for vengence, VENOSHOCK THAT TEDDY BEAR TO THE OBLIVION IT BELONGS IN! Queen give it a hand with a rediculously not going to miss hydro pump. I hope you live through that last turn enough to use an evasive QUICK ATTACK and stall for poison damage if that teddi isnt dead. Queen take this chance to chill because i fear this match will be long if it turns into a 1v1, but if teddiursa isn't dead I want you to hit it with a bubblebeam. Bozzy if your still alive, (Praying you are) Supersonic the dratini. Queen finish the round with a Ice Beam on dratini.

OK, Let's do this! Teddiursa, Use Return on his Zubat, followed by a Yawn at his Mantyke. Finish with a Return at Mantyke.
Dratini, use your Fire Blast to melt the ice, the fire being hot enough to melt the ice and hit Zubat at the same time. Then Dragon Rush Mantyke, then finish with and ExtremeSpeed on Mantyke! |

ROUND 3, BEGIN!
This music begins to play as the two teams of Pokemon clash in an epic tradeoff of powerful blows! Bozzy swoops in toward Pawpa to attack, boosted by the gusts of his partner's Tailwind-- but Pawpa's Quick Feet make him still faster, and he leaps up to smack Bozzy with yet another powerful Return-- but Bozzy, ever the survivor, takes the hit and dishes out an equally-powerful Venoshock straight to Pawpa's system! Meanwhile Noodles narrows his eyes in draconic wrath, unleashing a breath of powerful Fire Blast that instantly vaporizes the ice! Unfortunately, Noodles is unable to fulfill his orders to attack Bozzy without taking another breath to make a second Fire Blast, so he instead moves on to his next orders, hoping his trainer will understand… but before Noodles can rush to his partner's rescue, sleeper threat Queen unleashes a raging torrent of water straight at Pawpa-- knocking him clean out with the force of a devastating Hydro Pump!! Noodles gives a tiny roar of vengeful fury, Dragon Rushing at Queen and dealing her a powerful lashing blow with a swing of his small-yet-mighty tail! In his weakened state, the sudden movement startles Bozzy, who Quick Attacks out of the way even though he isn't being targeted by any attacks… Queen shudders from the powerful blow but keeps on keeping on, Chilling serenely to recover some extra energy for the battle ahead-- for Noodles has made it perfectly clear that he won't be going down as easily as his fallen partner. And indeed the tide seems to be turning in his favor as Bozzy runs out of Nasty Plots and the rainfall stops. Continuing his one-man assault, Noodles rushes at Queen in an act of Extremespeed, dealing her another sharp blow-- Bozzy tries to disorient Noodles with a Supersonic blast of sound, but Noodles' extreme movement speed allows him to bypass the attack easily. Queen is no slouch, however, and defends herself with another strong Ice Beam! Noodles escapes being frozen this time, but the attack is extremely damaging nonetheless and manages to slow Noodles to his regular pace, just as Queen's Tailwind peters out. All boosts and field effects have reset, and the playing field is level! Despite Pikapwned's 2-to-1 advantage, this match is looking far from one-sided! What can we expect to see next?! Pawpa (M) HP: 0 Energy: 44 Ability: Quick Feet Status: KO! Use Dragon Rush on Zubat, the momentum propelling you to the bottom of the lake! Chill, then Dragon Dance! If Mantyke trys to get into the water, use Thunder Wave so it gets badly electrocuted, sliding actions back (after dragon rush)

It wouldn't have affected the round but tailwind is a +2 to speed and bozzy would've outsped teddi even with quickfeet, not a big deal as the order won't affect the round. Also rain lasts for 5 rounds not actions and tailwind for 3 both are still in effect.
Bozzy dodge out of the way of the incoming dragon rush with a quick attack letting it into the pond, while queen dive under the water knowing that water doesn't amplify electricity's power just allows it to spread farther. And your already paralyzed so go get him, make sure you get up close at point blank before you hit the little snake with an ice beam. Bozzy take this opportunity to hatch a dastardly plan, while queen, keep the pressure going with a toxic since your so close to it, bozzy finish the round by plotting nastily, and queen finish the round with another ice beam at the top of the pond, so dratini can't bust out easily. Summary: Queen: dive down for point blank ice beam ~ toxic ~ ice beam the top of the pond Bozzy: evasive quick attack ~ nasty plot ~ nasty plot

((Yeah you're right Pika, I was thinking Quick Feet was 2x just like Tailwind was. You're also right in that it didn't affect the round, so don't worry. :P About Tailwind and Rain Dance... yeah, I misread those.
Well, I seem to have goofed a lot during this match, maybe you guys want to double-check me again. @___x)) ROUND 3, BEGIN! Noodles Dragon Rushes Bozzy again, who AGAIN repeats his tactic of Quick Attacking out of the way-- you'd think by now Crux would have thought a way around that to take out Bozzy by now, a mistake that may be costly... Queen swoops towards the pond to deliver another powerful Ice Beam, but seizes up halfway there in a fit of paralysis! Noodles' missed attack sends him darting into the pond, where he sits still and Chills to regain some energy... Meanwhile Bozzy hides in the cover of the trees and begins to concoct more Nasty Plots to lead him and his partner to victory, and Queen releases Toxic fluids into the pond, badly poisoning Noodles! The poison doesn't feel so bad now, but this was how his partner met his demise... Noodles wastes no time in Dragon Dancing furiously in the pond, ready to make another offensive-- but Queen blasts him with another Ice Beam! The attack doesn't reach Noodles, but instead causes the entire surface of the pond to freeze solid, trapping Noodles inside! Hmm, curious, this looks familiar. Can Noodles make a comeback and settle the score, or will Crux go 2-0 in this quickly turned-ugly matchup?! Noodles (M) HP: 58 Energy: 48 Ability: Shed Skin Status: +1 Attack/Speed, badly poisoned (Also trapped in the pond underneath some ice) < VS > Bozzy (m) HP: 11 Energy: 32 Ability: Inner Focus Status: +4 Special Attack, Tailwind (1 more round) Queen (F) HP: 73 Energy: 49 Ability: Swift Swim Status: 10% paralyzed, Tailwind (1 more round) Rain will fall for 1 more round.

Okay Guys, we just Have to keep our advantage.
Bozzy I want you to get as high as you can in the air. staying out of reach. Queen take this chance to chill as your low on energy. Bozzy you need to chill as well. Queen take this chance to turn the water beneath the ice into a whirlpool. Bozzy take the time to make more Nasty Plots. Queen, focusing on that whirlpool to keep him trapped. Both of you if at any time he breaks out, hit him with the best youve got. Summary Bozzy: Fly into the sky out of reach/Venoshock ~ Chill/Venoshock ~ Nasty Plot/Venoshock Queen: Chill/Ice Beam ~ Whirlpool/Ice Beam ~ maintain focus* on whirlpool/Ice Beam * whirlpool requires focusing on it to be trapped and it doesnt take up repetitive energy cost see move description below copy and pasted from data.

ROUND 4, BEGIN!
As Noodles tries to work a way out from underneath the ice, Bozzy flaps higher into the air in little circles; unfortunately, it seems like this is a wasted effort, since Bozzy doesn't seem to know how to use Fly! Too bad. While Bozzy's flapping in circles while gaining minimal altitude, Noodles unleashes another breath of Fire Blast from underneath the ice, burning a kanji-shaped hole in the pond out of which he bursts! Unfortunately using a Fire attack while underwater seems to have cost him some extra energy, and there also seems to be no concussive force to send ice chunks flying at his foes as Crux ordered. Luckily for Noodles, he also leaves a crumpled Shed Skin behind in the pond, with all traces of the toxic poison gone from his system! Queen notices this too late to react properly, as she had already started to Chill out and wait for Noodles to surface. Bozzy screeches in alarm and blasts Noodles with a very powerful Venoshock despite the lack of poison decreasing its power. But Noodles is already upon him, lashing him to pieces in a mad Dragon Rush-- and Bozzy at last goes down! It's a KO! Queen finally catches up to them and avenges Bozzy by blasting Noodles with a shockingly cold Ice Beam! Noodles winces in pain and flees back underwater to recuperate and Chill out, but the water is Queen's element even more than it is Noodles', and she reminds him of this by trapping him in a raging Whirlpool! Oh man, I don't know if Noodles can even get out of that! The matchup is evened out at one Pokemon aside, but how much longer can the greatly-weakened Noodles last?! Noodles (M) HP: 14 Energy: 43 Ability: Shed Skin Status: +1 Attack/Speed < VS > Bozzy (m) HP: 0 Energy: 23 Ability: Inner Focus Status: KO!! Queen (F) HP: 73 Energy: 49 Ability: Swift Swim Status: 5% paralyzed The rain stops.

Okay queen keep it simple the whirlpool has him trapped so and the end of the first round hit him with an ice beam, then use the water in the pond for a hydro pump and finish the round with another ice beam.
Summary: Ice beam ~ hydro pump ~ ice beam

Use Agility to escape the Whirlpool and dodge the Ice Beam. Use Twister on the Whirpool to boost its power and direct it onto Mantyke to stop its Hydro Pump whilst damaging it. Chill in the pond, making the Ice Beam useless.

Even in the face of imminent defeat, Crux is apparently still determined to drag this match out even longer! Noodles uses his draconic Agility to force his way out of the whirlpool at the cost of some extra energy, while the paralysis-slowed Queen blasts at his location with Ice Beam-- the attack just barely misses, and instead strikes the whirlpool, creating a frozen conical hole in the middle of the pond! Noodles takes the opportunity to attempt to Twister the water from the whirlpool toward Queen to deflect her impending attack, but the whirlpool's frozen state makes this impossible! So it's just a regular old Twister that gets sent at Queen; she fires a Hydro Pump directly through it! The Water-type attack is much more powerful, however, and thus it bursts through the twister after a brief moment of resistance for a slightly-weakened hit! And simultaneously, the effects of Queen's paralyisis lift, and she's running at full speed once more! Bewilderingly enough, Noodles somehow thinks it's safe to Chill right now, and immediately does so! But Queen fires another Ice Beam at him, trapping him under the frozen pond once again! Surely both competitors have to be as tired of seeing that happen as I am. Well, as Crux and Noodles struggle for survival, the match drags on!

An entertaining match, for sure; but some tactical errors on the part of Crux (such as not taking out Zubat quickly enough) made this match out to be a win for Pikapwned. Still, managing to keep Noodles alive for so long was an impressive feat. You've both much yet to learn, but you're definitely getting there.
