Hi I've haven't been playing for quite a while and I seem to have lost the metagame. I created a team but the result is less than satisfactory. Help is greatly appreciated.
1. Zoroark @ Life Orb Nature: Timid Ability: Illusion EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spd ![]() Nasty Plot Dark Pulse Focus Blast Flamethrower Easy and effective lead. Illusion makes Zoroark look like another Pokemon on my team. NP is for boosting when your opponent doesn't attack. Dark Pulse is STAB and can cause flinch. I prefer it over Night Daze. Focus Blast hits steels and Darks hard. Flamethrower is for Ferrothorn and Scizor. 2. Blissey @ Leftovers Nature: Bold Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Spd ![]() Wish Protect Seismic Toss Toxic Classic Stall Blissey. I realized that my team lack something that could really take special hits so I made room for Blissey. Wish keeps the team healthy, Protect is stall/scout, Toxic is the main source of damage and destroys walls and Seismic Toss causes consistent damage. 3. Cloyster @ Life Orb Nature: Jolly Ability: Skill Link EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spd ![]() Shell Smash Icicle Spear Rock Blast Shell Blade Cloyster is devastating when set up. Shell Smash first turn and sweep with its ridiculous Attack. It then can rip through almost everything without resistance. Skill links make sure Rock Blast and Icicle Spear hits 5 times always. Shell Blade is extra STAB and additional coverage. 5. Forretress @ Leftovers Nature: Sassy Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 SpD IVs: 0 Spd Stealth Rock Spikes Gyro Ball Rapid Spin Sassy nature minimizes Forretress' Speed and maximizes Gyro Ball's effect. Investment to SpD help Forretress cushion special attacks. With Sturdy, it can function as a suicide lead as well. Its sole purpose is to lay rocks and spikes while spinning opposing rocks and spikes away. Not much else. 5. Latios @ Choice Specs Nature: Timid Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spd ![]() Draco Meteor Surf Hidden Power [Fire] Trick I like this better than the LO set becuase the power is immediate and CM is just not enough to boost SpA. Draco Meteor is STAB and does massive damage. The stat down won't matter since Latios will be hit and run. Surf hurts Tyranitar and stuff like that while HP Fire destroys Scizor and other steel types. Both Scizor and Ttar like to Pursuit Latios to death. Trick is cool as it cripples Stall Gliscor, Blissey, Ferrothorn, etc... 6. Gliscor @ Toxic Orb Nature: Jolly Ability: Poison Heal EVs: 252 HP/ 4 Def/ 252 Spd Protect Earthquake U-Turn Taunt Poison Heal is awesome, Gliscor can heal 1/8 of its HP every turn. Protect abuses that and allows Giscor to scout for moves. Earthquake is a STAB attack. Taunt prevents nasty entry hazards or set-up. U-Turn allows Gliscor to cause a little damage to foes and switch out. Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks! |

Conkeldur walks all over this team. 3 fighting weaknesses, and latios being weak to payback. You're kind of stuck tricking him w/ latios or attempting to stall w/ Gliscor, but with a few set ups you're doomed. Perhaps try psychic on latios? I'm not sure, but you need a counter. I personally use a gengar w/ disable to get rid of payback.
Gengar@leftovers timid -shadow ball -focus blast -substitute -disable 252 spe, 252 spA, 4 hp switch in on a fighting attack, substitute as he uses payback/stone edge, then disable |

I agree with all the above, they just bet me to it however there is one thing in thing you should implement is replacing naty plot with U-Turn. I mean it's not like Zoroark stay's to long in a battle anyway and it's not very logically most of the time if you attempt to sweep with your lead. Also U-Turn allows you to come back in later and do Illusion again and agin and again.
Hope this helps and also I'd recommend doing what the other two have mentioned above. |

If you really like trying to sweep with your lead, you *might* want to try a choice scarf togekiss to replace your cloyster. That way Zoroark has the option of using NP under the guise of Togekiss (who can also use it). Take this advice with a grain of salt though; this is just an untested idea.
Gengar is probably more reliable but the option is there if you don't like him or you like taking risks. |

If you arent going to go with wiredsushi's bissey suggestion, then you should probably change toxic to t wave. Because of blisseys poor defenses (even with max def EVs), the other player will switch to a physical attacker he next turn, so you can t wave on the switch, wish protect if needed, and get out to something to wall the physical hits.
