Talkin' about poppin' glocks, servin' rocks, and hittin' switches

Haha, this was a great Smogcast. Not as much whining as I usually dislike and hear in others.
Very professionally done, you guys. Thanks.

Yes, I've been waiting for a UU cast for such a long time. Guess I'll have to wait for the download link though =( Youtube and me don't mix too well together.

You have the time to sit there and read every single word in this podcast, but not the time to listen to it in full motion? And no, I think 99% of the people here would NOT agree on that. |

If this were in text form it would take half an hour, tops, to read. Listening to it takes over an hour and a half. I enjoy the Smogcasts and all, but, I would also be someone interested in seeing it in text form. Not that I am complaining it doesn't exist, or even asking for one, I am just giving my two cents. This Smogcast was good. Glad to see such an improvement over the last one. |

Sure, do with it whatever you want. You can make a prettier (and more 'avatarable') version yourself though, just search 'rollercoaster laptop' on Google images and you will get the picture I used.

Can't wait to listen to this one. Why is it taking so long to get a download link? Y'all said it would be up shortly.

Smogcast team said they were working on it or something. It's pretty much just Youtube for now, unless you go the extreme route and download all the pieces off of Youtube and put them back together with a different program.

Is there a technical reason for the mp3 link not to be posted? I'm hoping to give this a listen during my 3 hour drive to Indianapolis for the LCQ. Seeing as it's been a week since the Smogcast was released, I was just wondering if it had been pushed to the backburner.

EDIT: To clarify, if not hosting on Smogon was considered an acceptable option we'd have done it already.

On that topic...
Download the Smogcast here! (Right click and press "Save Link As...") Thanks for putting up with the delay, and hopefully we'll be more prompt with it in the future.

Fucking awesome. I'm keeping this in my archive along with the post-Mence analysis (Smogcast...4, I think?). This is really your finest work yet.
I'm expecting some amazing commentary on the post-Drizzle meta, too (there's still hope, my brothers). EDIT: I forgot about the one major thing I wanted to comment on, which was the Mew analysis, which I thought was flawed. Sending in the wrong check or counter for one of its sets means it is very likely you will lose one Pokemon. Taunt/WoW Mew begs an offensive Fire-type or Heracross to come in, while Baton Passing Mew screws up both your momentum and your strategy no matter what you send in. Offensive Mew sets in general play very differently from defensive Mew sets, and while I'd never call one of defensive Mew's sets broken, I definitely think offense is problematic to where I constantly find myself switching in the wrong thing (like that annoying offensive Swords Dance Baton Pass set I saw a week ago) because X or Y are what most people use. On top of that, I use a very unique defensive Nasty Plot set that no one ever switches into correctly. Nothing can really play the unpredictable card besides Mew, since it has the absolute best offensive and defensive movepool in the tier, and can run each set viably under that surprise factor.

Chansey still walls that mix flygon (with the possible exception of hone claws) but otherwise it was a great cast!
