I think it should be okay to put up the OP now...Anyways, if your not involved in this TLR, then don't bother posting.
Moving on, & we have two Challengers ready to take on the Timeless Tower. One named Leethoof, & the other named smashlloyd20. Let's see their teams & whatnot... Leethoof TEAM
Boggle the Toxicroak @ Air Balloon
Locust the Shiftry @ Focus Sash
Slag the Probopass @ Air Balloon
BACKPACK Potion: 2 slots Super Potion: 1 slot Ether: 2 slots Revive: 1 slot Pokeballs: 50; 40 Free slots, 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls Berries: 30 Battle Items: 20 Gems: 20 Spare Pocket (any item): 3 smashlloyd20 TEAM
Grass Skirt the Pyroak @ Oran Berry
Chuck Norris the Machamp @ Oran Berry
Brave Bird the Aerodactyl @ Rawst Berry
BACKPACK Potion: 2 slots Super Potion: 1 slot Ether: 2 slots Revive: 1 slot Pokeballs: 50; 35 Free slots, 5x Ultra Balls, 5x Heal Balls, 5x Timer Balls Berries: 30 Battle Items: 20 Gems: 20 Spare Pocket (any item): 3 Alright, onto the RPing itself, eh? TIMELESS TOWER Timeless Tower is an unfathomably large structure seated on an impregnable cliffside. The tower's main spire looms over its entrance hundreds of feet into the air. Bridges extend from the main tower to three separate spires, each on an island pillar of immense density. The ocean roars violently below, beckoning you to stay away. The bridge to the east leads to a tower frozen over in a massive pillar of ice. The sunlight glistens against its reflective surface, yet no melt can be shown. You look cold just staring at it. The bridge to the west leads to a craggy pillar that seems to be etched from the very earth itself, impossibly dense and immovable. A third tower can be seen behind the structure on your map, but it is eclipsed by the sheer enormity of the main spire. It is made of the sturdiest looking metal you have ever seen, an unnaturally purely refined solidity that shares the brilliant sheen of the icy tower and the sheer density of the crag. As you go up to the entrance, the drawbridge on the main gate opens and falls with a loud crash onto the only access to the mainland. On either side of the bridge are statues of Golurk holding up massive spears. As you enter the main atrium, a massive statue of Golem rolled up into a ball takes the center of the arena. You look around the room and see exits your east and west going to the towers, stairs built into the floor going down presumably to the tower behind the main spire, and a massive door with 3 slots in the gate. Depictions of the gate are on the left and right, and show 3 stones being placed in the gate. Both mosaics are completely sand-colored except for the stones. One is an azure blue, one is a dull brown, and the other a shimmering silver. You attempt to push the gate, but it is so massively heavy you feel tired just pushing on it. It will not budge. What could this all mean? And where do you go from here? Your Options are as follows... Enter Ice Spire Enter Rock Crag Enter Iron Dungeon smashlloyd20, this will be your final opportunity to equip items if you want to, but other than that, let the adventure begin. Good Luck!

![]() Lee Thooves releases his pokemon from their balls. "Excellent work, guys. We have searched long and hard for this tower, and if the rumors we have heard are true, then a great asset to our team lies within its depths." The pokemon are silent. Boggle is alert and looking for any threats, while the recently-evolved Locust imitates his ally's motions, trying to prove himself to Lee. Slag just closes his eyes, magnetically controlling his mini-noses to scout out the immediate surroundings. After a short while, they all point to the west, uniformly knowing their trainer's goal. "Shift!" "Croooak" "..." Taking a turn over the rocky bridge, I enter the Rock Crag, my faithful companions leading ahead slightly. Last edited by Leethoof; Sep 15th, 2011 at 8:24:11 AM. |

Well, I was going to hold this off, but lookwhatistarted.jpg...X_X
LEETHOOF
Rock Crag - The Boring Hollow You cross the bridge and enter the rocky crag, and immediately look on to a barren, desolate hollow. You might have thought construction equipment moved in here from the looks of it, but even then what inspires you most is that this desolation appears unnaturally natural. It seems impossible that there could be life here in such an unforgiving place, but you hear rumblings up ahead. Even as you crossed the bridge you couldn't help but feel you were getting smaller as you approached. Whoever built this, and for what purpose escapes you, but nonetheless it stands here, laughing in the face of time. There's little to do here but go forward. The designers must have thought the warm, cheery welcome at the door was sufficient. As you enter the next area you notice a few Pokemon stirring. Looks like you invaded their territory. There's no water around, but the area is open to sunlight. Anywhere this sturdy probably looks at collateral damage as an improvement.
Battle Begin!
Bonsly: Low Kick Slag > Rock Slide IF Slag uses Protect A1, THEN redirect Low Kick to Locust Roggenrola: Sandstorm > Rock Blast Locust IF Boggle uses Taunt A1, THEN use Protect & push actions back __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Still Pall As you descend the staircase to cross the bridge to Iron Dungeon, one thing immediately grasps you: This place is hidden behind Timeless Tower because the very view of it is depressing. It has a stainless efficiency that is both marvelous and alien. The porticulis opens and inside the dungeon only gets more sparse. Whether this is from non-use or sheer impenetrability escapes you, but one thing is certain: the cheery light you left behind won't be an issue any longer. You descend still further down into a blank, nondescript room. You hear no signs of organic life, only clicks, creaks, and grinding machinery. Even now you long for something soft just to contrast the starkness before you. No matter, you came here for a reason, and you must press on. This place seems built to drain your will with its obstinance. Take care. As you make a final turn around a corner you see a pathway shrouded by an iron curtain. Well, it's iron colored anyway, but you wouldn't be surprised if the sadist who built this place used actual iron. More importantly, those clicks you heard earlier are getting loud. Very loud.
Battle Begin!
Klink A: Gear Grind Brave Bird (Gem) > Flash Cannon Brave Bird (Gem) Klink B: Flash Cannon Brave Bird (Gem) > Gear Grind Brave Bird (Gem) __________________________________________________ Any errors I made, please inform me. Thank you.

![]() Lee immediately jumped back from the two wild pokemon, but soon realized they were nothing to fear. His pokemon could handle these two rock-types with eases! "Everybody, remember your training against Banzai. This battle will be similar. Slag, take care of yourself and take cover behind Boggle, and then use Flash Cannon on Bonsly. smash kicks himself again. What was he thinking, sending an Aerodactyl into a Steel-typed area? Still, he could pull through. Good thing he had an stupidly bulky Pyroak with a resistance to Steel.... Grass Skirt: Bodyblock Brave Bird twice! Chuck Norris: Dynamicpunch Klink 1, then do the same to Klink 2! Brave Bird: Alright, make sure you're hovering low so Grass Skirt can bodyblock you and use Curse! Then follow up with a Sky Attack on Klink 1!

LEETHOOF Rock Crag - The Boring Hollow Locust opens the round by firing two seeds at the Bonsly for some damage, as Boggle proceeds to hurl mud at the same target, blinding Bonsly for a bit. Slag tries to take evasive action by hiding behind Boggle, but it turns out that Slag to too big. Oh well. So Roggenrola kicks up some sand & produces a sandstorm which covers the entire arena, as Bonsly spots Slag & trips it over with a low kick. Boggle & Locust don't like the moving sand & start to take damage as a result. Locust then continues the assault on Bonsly, blasting him with an explosive seed as Boggle frightens him with an Astonishing cry, making Bonsly cringe. Slag then blasts the Bonsly with a blinding shot which seems to weaken the Bonsly. The Roggenrola then fires four rocks at Locust, all of them hitting its mark & Bonsly caps off the round crying in fear, looking as if it was adjusting its fluid levels, as Boggle & Locust take more damage from the moving sand. It seems like a good start for you as you have Bonsly on the ropes alongside some lucky hax, but will you keep up the pressure? Or will you fall to these two lackeys? Issue your actions.

BACKPACK
5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Still Pall Brave Bird opens the battle by roosting onto the ground & cursing himself for entering a steel arena, boosting his attack & defence, but reducing his speed. Grass Skirt then gets into a position where he's ready to guard Brave Bird, as Chuck Norris goes ahead & wallops Klink A with a powerful puch which leaves it seeing stars. The same Klink doesn't see where it's going & collides with a wall. Klink B, who isn't as dizzy, then shoots at Brave Bird with a blinding shot, only for Grass Skirt to take the hit for Brave Bird, as Klink B uses up a bit of its gem. Brave Bird then flies up into the air & starts glowing as Grass Skirt prepares to defend Brave Bird once more. Chuck Norris then throws another powerful fist, this time at Klink B, & makes it see stars. Klink A then fires a blinding shot at Brave bird, using up some of its gem, only for Grass Skirt to block it & take the damage. Klink B in the meantime cannot see where its going & collide with a wall. Brave Bird then lets rip with a powerful swoop which strikes Klink A, but it does however, reduce Klink A's disorientation by a bit. You've made a good start. Can you keep it up? Issue your actions.

Chuck Norris, hit Klink B with a Dynamicpunch, then let loose with a Focus Blast on Kilnk A. Brave Bird, go for a Sky Attack on Klink A followed by a Fire Fang on Klink B!

I must be the world's slowest TLR ref...Well, here's the update!
LEETHOOF Rock Crag - The Boring Hollow Locust opens the round in earnest by firing an explosive seed at Bonsly, which hits & explodes. Boggle then turns his attention to the wily Roggenrola, hurling mud at her which blinds Roggenrola by a bit. Slag then flings magnetic shrapnel at Bonsly which homes in on its target & strikes Bonsly, with Bonsly finding the going too much & as a result, collapsing. Roggenrola is then left to pick up the pieces for the lackeys, hurling two rocks at Locust. Locust dodges the first, but the second managed to strike Locust, as Locust & Boggle take more damage from the moving sand. Locust starts to feel a little bit wounded, & fires a red beam at Roggenrola. This beam hits & sends some energy back to Locust, healing some of his wounds. Boggle then continues the assault on Roggenrola, firing a mud-filled grenade at Roggenrola, which hits & blinds Roggenrola just that bit more. Slag then makes Roggenrola's life even more of a misery, blasting her with a blinding greyish-white shot as Roggenrola sent another round of two rocks at Locust, luckily fo you though, Roggenrola couldn't see where locust was & as a result, both rocks hit a distant wall. You seem to have this match under control. Will you go for the capture? Or will you finish Roggenrola before something bad happens. Issue your actions.
Round End
Calculations
Roggenrola: Explosion x2 BACKPACK 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Still Pall Brave Bird opens the round by glowing again, preparing a powerful attack, as Grass Skirt gets ready to defend Brave Bird yet again. Chuck Norris then continues his punching rampage, walloping Klink B with yet another powerful puch from one of his four fists. Both Klink on the other hand, are too disorientated to do anything & collide with each other for some damage, leaving Klink A wide open for a powerful attack, as Brave Bird swoops down, striking Klink A for some more damage, but it does allow Klink to regain its sanity, however. Brave Bird then stops with the charge attacks, swooping down again to crunch Klink B with his burning teeth. Grass Skirt then goes for the cautious job of defending Brave Bird from any danger, as Chuck Norris focuses his energy into one powerful blast, which he uses to strike Klink A for more damage. However, Chuck Norris' luck had ran out. The two Klink had decided among themselves that Chuck Norris was the real problem & started to focus their energy on him, Klink A shooting a ball of electrical energy which paralyses Chuck Norris, & Klink B becoming sane again & firing a Gem-Assisted shot of blinding steel at Chuck Norris. You seem to have control, but with 2 Klink still alive, you'll have to wait another turn to throw your Poke Balls. What will you do? Issue your actions, of course!

Guess what? I'm faster this time around! =P
LEETHOOF
Rock Crag - The Boring Hollow Locust opens by swirling his leaves around & creating a tornado which catches the Roggenrola in. This leaves her open to the final blows, with Boggle striking with a health-absorbing punch, & Slag delinvering the final blow with homing shrapnel. Upon victory, the sandstorm subsides, & you send your Pokemon back into their Poke Balls. Seeing nothing else, exciting, you decide to move on to the next part of the crag...
Round End
Calculations
BACKPACK 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls Rock Crag - Rumble Hall You come across an area of the crag that is more unstable than the others. Earthquakes seem to randomly average this area, causing you to lose your footing, but aside from physical movement, the area seems entirely unscathed. It's entirely possible this could be the work of a Pokemon rather than an actual feature of the area. In any case you can see down two paths, one where a few small rocks rumble visibly, while the other is calm. You surmise the quakes are coming from that area. Do you... a) enter towards the quakes and inspect what is going on. b) continue onward and ignore the quakes. c) stay and see if something happens. __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Still Pall Brave Bird opens by trying to roost, but with full health, Brave Bird gained nothing from it & the move failed. Grass Skirt in the meantime went into a stage of photosynthesis & when he was done, he was feeling a lot healthier. The two Klink see this as a good opportunity to turn their attention to Brave Bird & lay down the law, the first whacking him with the power of 2 gears, boosted by a gem, of course, & the second striking Brave Bird with a bolt of lightning. But, however, it turned out to be curtains for Klink B, as Chuck Norris wallops it with one of his 4 fists, putting an end to its life. Brave Bird, feeling significantly weaker this time around, goes to roost again & recovered some health & wasn't a Flying Type anymore for the rest of the round. Grass Skirt in the meantime decides to take a short break, as the remaining Klink uses more of its gem, hammering Brave Bird again with its 2 gears, as Chuck Norris joins Grass Skirt in taking a short break. So, you're in a good situation to capture, but your Aerodactyl is significantly weajer than before. what will you do, & will you be able to save Brave Bird? Issue your actions.

Rock Crag - Rumble Hall Inside you find the quakes were not being generated by a wild Pokemon, but rather the only piece of machinery you've yet to find in this place. It looks like they tried to excavate the area, and got approximately nowhere. Their base camp remains, and you find Flying Gem among the remnants. You have no idea where they went, but apparently the machine was expendable. It looks like it still has a Cell Battery attached as well. Rock Crag - Vista You come to a beautiful vista that overlooks Timeless Tower. You can spot the bridge you came here in, and you still look up at the massive height of the main tower. You can spot the Iron Dungeon from here as well. There is some room to move up and get a better view, though there might be wild Pokemon here. Do you... a) approach the edge of the Vista. b) stay close to the wall and move on.
Your Party
BACKPACK 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls, 1x Flying Gem, 1x Cell Battery __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Still Pall You throw a Heal Ball at the Wild Klink. The ball makes contact & the Klink drops in. First wobble, nothing. Second wobble, things are looking good for you. Third wobble & still no signs of resistance. Then, the Heal Ball settles & stops moving. Nothing happens & you celebrate the capture. Congratulations on the capture. You pick up the Heal Ball & throw it just to make sure. Your Klink comes out & it looks rather healthy now. Happy about your capture you send Klink & the rest of your party back in & seeing nothing else worthy of note, you move on.

Your New Klink
Iron Dungeon - Gear Golem While the rest of the area seem bland for the most part, a very intricate design has been placed here. A massive humanoid contraption stands at the centre of the room. What this represents you have no clue. It doesn't really resemble any person or Pokemon you know of. In any case the room has no apparent exit, but the gear golem has several levers in front of it. Upon review, the room looks a bit round on the edges, not like the square steel structures you've been used to. There are 3 levers, left, right, and centre placed about 5 feet in front on the golem. You hear clanging behind you, forward seems like the best path. Which Lever do you pull? a) pull the (first) left lever. b) pull the (second) centre lever. c) pull the (third) right lever. BACKPACK 5x Ultra Balls, 4x Heal Balls, 5x Timer Balls __________________________________________________ That's it. Enjoy! Also, smash, if you wish to nickname your Klink, now's your chance.

Rock Crag - Vista Caution prevails and you continue onward. It was a rather nice view though. Rock Crag - Petrified Forest The Petrified Forest is a desolate arena full of trees encased in magma long ago that have since solidified into solid rock. Although a light to the outside world still shines through, the place is so dusty and gloomy that the very sight of it depresses your spirit. As you enter, you can't help but think you're being watched. On a pedestal there appears to be a bottle of Fresh Water for no explicable reason, with a small tree on one side. It's possible the item could heal one of your Pokemon for 50 HP. Do you go for it? You also see an exit going further into the treacherous tower. a) Get the Fresh Water b) RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!

BACKPACK 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls, 1x Flying Gem, 1x Cell Battery __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Gear Golem The gear golem shifts to the right, revealing a cache of items on pedestals. They could be booby-trapped. Unfortunately the golem has stopped moving, and there's still two other levers. You try them, but they are stuck. Looks like you'll need to chance it. The items are Potion, Silk Scarf, & Normal Gem. How many Items will you decide to grab? a) One Item (Specify which one) b) Two Items (Specify which ones) c) All Three Items

LEETHOOF Rock Crag - Petrified Forest So, you decide that the best course of action to take is to go ahead & pick up the water. You do so & assume everything is fine, but suddenly, the suspicious tree springs to life! The tree turns out to be a Sudowoodo & suddenly kicks up some sand which then turns into a Sandstorm. Unluckily for you, part of the water is spoiled & now only works at 60% Power. The Sudowoodo looks menacing, but you send in your three Pokemon to protect yourself! Be careful, Sudowoodo may be alone, but don't get ahead of yourself...
Battle Begin!

LEETHOOF
Rock Crag - Petrified Forest Locust opens the battle by firing explosive seeds at the Sudowoodo while Boggle hurls mud at it, blinding Sudowoodo by a bit. Slag then fires a blinding shot at the Sudowoodo, only for Sudowoodo to whack Slag with a powerful arm & popping Slag's Balloon. Once again, Boggle & Locust take a hating to the moving sand & take damage. Locust then fires a red beam at Sudowoodo, recovering some health, while Boggle frightens Sudowoodo with a shrieking cry, but that, however, made Sudowoodo a bit more rattled & faster than before. Slag then hits Sudowoodo with some shrapnel & Sudowoodo counter-attacks by striking Locust with some hot fire, as Locust & Boggle continue to take damage from the storm. It seems that you've made a good start, but will you finish this once & for all? Issue your actions.

Sudowoodo: Earthquake + Earthquake Combo > Recharge IF Slag uses Magnet Rise, THEN Hammer Arm + Hammer Arm Combo (Slag) BACKPACK 5x Poke Balls, 5x Cherish Balls, 1x Flying Gem, 1x Cell Battery, 1x Fresh Water (60% Strength) __________________________________________________ SMASHLLOYD20 Iron Dungeon - Gear Golem You pull the left lever and the gear golem springs to life and rotates to the left, extending its arms. The room rotates and a corridor to the left opens up. The left lever breaks in your hand. The golem powers down and you find you can't budge the other levers. You'll need to power it again. You look back but find the original entrance is sealed. With nowhere to go, you venture left, and you find a power source... or more accurately, it finds you. A Magneton greets you and uses a Magnetic Field to bounce forward your Brave Bird. It won't dispel for two rounds. Magneton generates another field and rises further from the ground, then glows red and targets your pokemon with red rings. Looks like things are going to be looking rough for you!
