Normal Faint attack = 6.25% chance of Crit. (1/16)
Scope Lens/Super Luck Faint attack = 12.5% chance of Crit. (1/8) Scope Lens with Super Luck Faint attack = 25% chance of Crit. (1/4) Scope Lens with Super Luck Hight Crit Move = 50% chance of Crit. (1/2) |

Or you can look here for an accurate summary of crit stages. Just disregard Scope Lens' +1 and replace it with x2 at the end.
Why at the end? Because if the multiplication came first, then Scope Lens would only ever increase crit stage from 1 to 2 (making it just a +1 at all times), and given that Super Luck's description in the data audit thread specifically says it increases crit stage by 1 and Scope Lens' description does not, then Scope Lens must be capable of more than a +1. Either that or Deck hasn't thought it through (probability: unlikely).

So here's something that doesn't affect me, but occurred to me.
Take a Pokémon with full EC, full DC, and has learned all its moves (the most obvious one being Ditto.). If it takes part in a match, will it earn any counters at all? And what about any KOC it earns?

Uhhh, nah, the Pokemon will probably not earn a single thing.
Unless Deck says they (leftover counters) can transmute into more TCs, which would be cool. @below, never knew that if that's true. I'd have been doing that all along lol... |

Does confusion lower in stage during sleep turns? It doesn't in-game, but it doesn't say that it does in ASB...

My rule of thumb for stuff like that is that if the pokemon doesn't get a chance to hit itself, then I don't lower the counter. I do the same when in cooldown from a combo.

I know this is going to sound like a stupid and rash question but anyway. How are tournament host's chosen in CAPASB? Just wondering.
EDIT: Yeah, predicted that answer. Last edited by Metal Bagon; Sep 18th, 2011 at 1:19:53 AM. |

One of the higher-ups will do future tournaments if/when they happen; don't worry yourself about them.

Can you send more pokemon to the ref than is needed for the match to have more options later? Like 4 mons for a 3v3? The only thing I see about it is in the Battle Tower where it says send 3 for a 3v3 or 4 for a 4v4, but it says in the same place to send 3 for a 2v2.

Nope. You can send up to 3 Pokemon in any situation, but for 3v3s and larger, you can't send extra mons. This yields to any "Send X mons to the ref" from the challenge poster.

Alright, Torment question.
A Pokemon uses the same action for on whole round (Let's say Magikarp uses Tackle), fainting the Weedle it's facing. A Monohm then uses Torment against said Magikarp, who was going to use the Tackle SPAM again. The first Tackle definately fails, but will the other 2 fail as well?

I'd say so. Tackle was used the round prior to, so all the Tackles should fail.

Actually, I think there was something in the data audit thread that suggests that the first Tackle fails with no energy cost and the other two are changed to Struggle. But then does the second Struggle fail?

On the off-chance I ever attempt this: What would happen if Gastro Acid was used on Shedinja followed by a Pokemon Skill Swapping it? Would Wonder Guard kick in for the Swapping Pokemon after 6 actions, since the Data Audit Thread only says Gastro Acid PREVENTS THE USE of an ability, or would the Swapping Pokemon have no ability?

Wonder Guard can't be skill swapped. At all.

Pretty sure Struggle can't fail, it can't be Encored/Disabled/etc since it's not an actual move the Pokemon knows, at least not ingame.

Struggle is not really a move, is the action a pokemon doesn when he has no other option (or has no idea of what to do), it's a desperate attack so i would say it's immune to being disabled in any way

Do moves like Future Sight and Doom Desire still work even if the user has fainted?

I think so, given that they still work from the user's stats if the user switches out.

Some people have background sections on their pokemon, just for flavor. Am I allowed to retroactively add this?

Since I'm not sure if it belongs in the GL sing up thread, I figured this would be the next best place to ask. There has been mention of a "Round 2" for GL sign-ups. I'm wondering if there's any sort of guideline as to when. I ask because I only recently considered trying to become a Leader, and I'm curious if there's even enough time to raise that many pokemon (I only have 1 of that type thus far) before the next round.

In all honesty, you won't. Assuming (just a shot in the dark here) that Round 2 will be around a month and a half, two months from now, you'd have to ref about as much as Flora to even stand a chance.
