'10 in '11 - Round 1!!

Approved by Alaka.

Welcome to the '10 to '11, a tournament designed to give you more choice. Following the VGC '11 Nationals, I saw a few people complaining in IRC about the lack of choice of viable options, due to the limit of Pokémon. This is simular to the '09 championships, but in 2010, the eligible Pokémon list opened to all generations. This tournament will be like that for VGC 2011!

Rules

No Moody

The tournament will be a best of 3, 4vs4 Doubles, Set Level 100 match with Pokémon from any generation allowed. All Pokémon will be allowed, accept for:

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys (any forme), Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin (both formes), Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect.

However, other Pokémon will be limited to any 2 per team (4 in a squad of 6):

Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina (Altered forme), Giratina (Origin forme), Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem.

Also, no 2 Pokémon can hold the same items, and Species clause is in effect. Released Dream World Abilities are allowed.

Team Preview must be on.

This is under the Wi-Fi Tournaments Subforum, which means all battles will take place on a DS Cartridge on Wi-Fi. (maybe say this in the OP? (even though it's obvious))

I just figured out that maybe I will be away for the weekend,
means I can battle from late sunday evening till round 1 is over ;)
hope this makes no problems to anyone :)

edit: Okay, the friend I was going to visit just told me that it won't work,
so I will be able to battle almost all the time^^

sorry for this senseless post now, but I don't know how to erase it :D

I don't get how we are meant to do this. When you try to do Flat battle (to autolevel to Lv50) it stops you from using the legendaries. I might have understood the rules wrong, do our pokemon have to be Lv50 or below for this tournament, and therefore cannot know moves they would learn after lv50?

Yeah this is a big problem. If your Pokemon are over Level 50 you can't battle with the Pokemon you want to. Alternately I guess you could do "No Restrictions" and level all your Pokemon to Level 100 so they'll be even, but it's very impractical.

Finally...but what do you think about letting round one open for some more days now?
I think many people had their teams only on 50 before this^^
And many people who maybe have to work will have no time so?

Won Game 3, crit on my side but was useless in the long run. 3-0
