Competitive Replays for the YouTube Channel
Hi everyone - We are looking for your best competitive battles (preferably tour/tournament final battles, or matches between two great players). Post them here using aesofts replay recorder. We will then pick the best ones and provide commentary to add to the YouTube Channel.
People involved in the battle or who saved the logs are free to join us for commentating on the battles on Skype. As a final note, please do not post just any battle you had - We are only looking for the best ones and will only add the best ones to the YouTube Channel. Get posting! This was my finals game against ENZ0 in week 8 of Smogon Tour. It wasn't very competitive since we both were using teams for fun, but maybe you'll want to use it anyway.

This is from the finals of Tour in Week 7(adv), which was 96 man
vs Darkcarlos-Only game I didn't use my own team but still good vs BIHI-Used my own team in this one!

I always had fun games when I ran into Irrelevant on the ladder, and this one was the best. Here my slightly gimmicky hail stall team clashes with an offensive rain team featuring Thundurus, our teams matched up in a way that forced both of us to make our best moves, and mixed with hax the advantage was constantly shifting from both of us. Scofield vs panamaxis - battling in the storm EDIT: mine is a spectator replay, so if somebody has a cleaner version of this replay, that may be more preferable. I still have it recorded from turn 1, though. |

So technically you want final battles or just clashes of high-ranked players? I see this channel being useful for more than just that. I also see a capability to illustrate specific concepts and ideas, as well as how to handle them, and generally these situations are less nuanced in the cesspool of everyone below #1000 on the ladder.
For example, I believe this battle is a shining example of knowing the metagame, guessing Stoutland's hold item and saving the right Pokemon for when it would be most effective. http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay--Da...le--2012-05-30 However, since I don't think I was even at 1100 points at the time (I only get that high on a fresh alt and a REALLY good day) and that this was a random ladder match, this would not meet your standards of quality and HYPE. And yet this video would be more useful to people because it furthers Smogon's mission to teach people as much as can be known about how to win at Pokemon. /soapbox
