how are the webzine covers designed?

There is a template that one of the members of the Smog Staff uses to generate a standardized cover. A single piece of art is chosen from all art submitted for the issue for the background image, and a few articles are chosen for the cover featured articles. All fonts and coloring are chosen to complement the background image.
