In a corner of the arena, Daedalus braces himself, and Bides his time until he can unleash some serious damage! Loki quickly covers for the motionless Smeargle with a second Shadow Ball, again hitting Yodawg for some serious damage! The Ludicolo trembles, trying to recover, then sends a solid wall of water sweeping through the arena! His powerful Surf attack even hit his partner, Useless, who reflects the damage back at Loki with a Mirror Coat!

Round Three Start!

As the round opens, Daedalus seems to be humming with energy, ready to unleash Bide, but, before he can act, Useless darts across the arena with a Fake Out, causing him to flinch! What a coldly brilliant strategy! Yoki tries to Torment Useless, but is too angry to move! Sensing an opening, Yodawg hits the motionless Gengar with a strong Beam of Ice!

Daedalus, speeding across the Arena, hits Useless with an Extremespeed again, while his teammate follows up with a Venoshock! Useless staggers under the barrage of attacks, falling away! Enraged, Yodawg uses Hydro Pump, blasting the Gengar with a spout of water! Useless, struggling to his feet, manages to Mirror Coat the Venoshock, KOing Yoki!

Daedalus, angered by the loss of his teammate, slams into Useless with another Extremespeed, but is thrown back by a strong Counter! Yodawg, meanwhile, launches Leeching Seeds at Daedalus, fully entangling the struggling Smeargle.

As the round opens, Athenodoros calls back his fallen Gengar, then turns to Daedalus. "It's up to you now. You know what to do." The Smeargle nods, face set in grim determination, and begins to Bide.

Useless, not noticing the increasingly powerful white aura surrounding Daedalus, unleashes a ghostly Will-O-Wisp that badly burns the motionless Smeargle! Yodawg follows up with a Hydro Pump, but it only seems to make the aura stronger!

Now trembling with energy, Daedalus continues to Bide.

Useless, sensing danger, Chills quietly in a corner of the arena, while Yodawg unleashes a final Giga Drain! The beam of red energy breaks through the aura, KOing Daedalus once and for all! The Bide breaks, and the pent-up energy is dispersed harmlessly into the air. (It would have done something like 56 damage. I need to teach Bide to every poke I have...)

Well, since the battle is over I can post, right? Anyways, I may very well be wrong, but it was my understanding that Bide simply hit a random enemy target in a doubles match, and couldn't be specified. Of course, I could be mistaken and would like to know in that case.

Bide is a three-turn attack with +1 priority on each turn. The last Pokemon to hit the user is dealt damage on the third turn equal to double the sum of the damage dealt to the user from attacks in the first two turns. This damage is fixed, and the move will not miss, hitting Ghosts, and Pokemon using moves such as Dig and Fly. Sleep status and switching will cause the effect to end permanently.
