God your mons are hella built up. Oh well, I think I know the perfect Pokemon for this:
Atheno calls Starmie! Astraea, this looks like a tricky one. You'll need an Enigma Berry for this, I think, and if you Illuminate the stage before hand to lower his accuracy then that will be a help too. Anyway, he has a big enough movepool that you'll just have to be varied enough to challenge him: Substitute (25) => Psychic => Hydro Pump IF Bide, change to Rain Dance => Substitute (25) => Hydro Pump IF Taunt, Magic Coat and move actions along

Welcome one and welcome all! This is the moment you've all been waiting for; a genuine, no tricks (mock) Gym Battle!
Without further delays, let's get this battle started! Terrador starts off by releasing his famed Nidoking, Agamemnon! Having had sufficient time to prepare, Athenodoros releases his Starmie, Astraea, in response. The quick starfish moves first, crafting a Substitute doll that Nidoking will have to break through. This Substitute cost its summoner an arm and a leg, but will be able to buy Astraea some precious time! Not one to rely on tricks, Agamemnon strikes the stuffed toy with a Thunderbolt! Unfortunately, the doll still stands through the Nidoking's best efforts. What's this? The geysers are erupting! It seems that their spray is being blocked by Astraea's Substitute! Astraea initiates the bloodshed again this turn, and uses a Psychic attack to lift his foe. The telekinetic force then smashes Agamemnon into the ground, using his weight against him! Nidoking manages to shrug off the Water/Psychic type's attack and summons a giant wave! This Surf attack completely destroys the rest of the shoddy little doll conjured up by Astraea. It seems the geysers are erupting again! This time, healing Agamemnon and hurting Astraea. Astraea moves first again to fire a huge Hydro Pump at Nidoking. The jet of water smashes into him and sends him reeling backwards through the park. Agamemnon, not standing for this going second business, decides to slow down the Starmie considerably. The Thunder Wave he fires hits Astraea head-on and threatens its mobility and ease of attacking considerably. To top off Astraea's misery, the geysers erupt yet again, damaging the Starmie and healing her foe... That round sure was close, eh folks? I can tell already, this is going to be one great match! Nidoking [Agamemnon] (Male) Hp: 51 Energy: 79% Status: -10% Acc Other: none Item: Expert Belt V.S. Starmie [Astraea] (None) Hp: 73 Energy: 64% Status: Paralysis (20%) Other: none Item: Enigma Berry (1)
Calculations
P.S. The Geyser did no damage to the Substitute because Subtitutes are not Poison-vulnerable. Terrador orders first! Will Atheno fall to the powerful gym leader? Will Terrador leave his battered Nidoking in to fight the crippled Astraea? Can we all manage to not be DQ'd? Tune in next time for these answeres and more! Next episode: Do I Stay or Do I Go? Terrador's Ultimatum!

(Geysers were supposed to bypass Subs, like other forms of residual damage, but I can see why you'd ref it as such. Also, Illuminate's Accuracy drop is permanent, though that's not relevant.)
![]() "Agamemnon, return! This wasn't a match made for you. I guess it's time to call on one of my infrequently-used allies... Cyndel the Skuntank, come on out! It's time for you to make your mark! Well if he's going to start switching around, I think Astraea can have a quick rest and we can use a new Pokemon! Out we come, Dragonite:
Nidhogg the Dragonite ITEM: Expert Belt Alright, Nidhogg, it's time for you to shine once again. You're the best on the team for dealing with this one, so don't let me down. Just hammer it, and the very earth will rise up against him! Earthquake * 3 IF Torment A1, change to Earthquake + Earthquake => Starjumps => Earthquake IF Torment A2 or A3, use Draco Meteor on the action of the Torment EDIT: oops, always forget abilities. Multiscale. *Surprise*

Terrador's Bench
Atheno's Bench
Content to let Nidoking rest, Terrador initiates a switch phase! The Wannabe Gym Leader replaces his wounded Agamemnon with Cyndel the Skuntank. In the other corner, Atheno replaces Astraea with Nidhogg the Dragonite. What kind of battle will result from this changing of the guard? Cyndel starts the round in the same fashion as Astraea last round. The Subtitute he creates is sturdy enough to absorb an attack or two from the Dragonite. Dragonite responds by creating an Earthquake. This tremor doesn't pierce Cyndel's Substitute all the way, but it does shake the entire arena so violently that parts of the stands actually start falling apart. That's the third time this week! The next round starts with Cyndel (still safely behind her doll) spraying a Toxic cloud at her foe. The mist drifts onto Nidhogg, badly poisoning him! Nidhogg gets severely annoyed at Cyndel's trickery and madly shakes the ground, causing another Earthquake. The violent quake finally destroys the Substitute, while also doing more terrible collateral damage. Cyndel fires an icy Hidden Power, that does paltry damage to Nidhogg despite his weakness to it. Nidhogg creates another Earthquake, doom and despair follow, yada yada. Let's examine the trainer's teams after that harrowing round! Skuntank [Cyndel] (Female) Hp: 66 Energy: 65% Status: none Other: none Item: Life Orb
Terrador's Bench
V.S. Dragonite [Nidhogg] (Male) Hp: 81 Energy: 64% Status: Badly Poisoned (2 DpA next round) Other: none Item: Expert Belt
Atheno's Bench
Calculations
Terrador orders first! (I believe) The battle is just getting good, what could happen next? Next time:

I think Terrador orders first, because I did last time. I'll ask on IRC before I decide on attacks, unless Terrador orders first.

Somehow I get the impression that I'm never going to actually move second here. Oh well. This just means that it is time for Astraea to come out again!
This time, I guess you'll just have to peg it with super effective attacks until it goes down. Good luck: hopefully you can use it to abuse Illuminate. Psychic => Camouflage (Poison) => Psychic IF Taunt, Magic Coat IF Hypnosis, Magic Coat

The two trainers have another round of switching. This time, Astraea switches out for Nidhogg to replace it and Cyndel takes Nappa's place.
Skuntank [Cyndel] (Female) Hp: 66 Energy: 65% Status: none Other: none Item: Life Orb
Terrador's Bench
v.s. Dragonite [Nidhogg] (Male) Hp: 81 Energy: 64% Status: Badly Poisoned (2 DpA next round) Other: none Item: Expert Belt
Atheno's Bench
Cyndel starts off the match with a 4x Super-effective Hidden Power Ice! Her inner force's chilly powers left a huge dent on Nidhogg! The Dragonite doesn't back down, though. Instead, he summons another arena-shattering Earthquake. By now, the tri-county area has been evacuated, so no worries. Not seeing a point to fixing a working strategy, Cyndel fires another one of her Icy Hidden Power auras at her draconic foe. Dragonite imitates the Skuntank's repetition with yet another Earthquake. This time, Cyndel is looking wobbly on her feet. I don't think she can stand another attack like that!! Seeing how close her end is, Cyndel focuses all her energy into one last-ditch attack. With a tear in her eye, the little skunk Pokemon ignites her inner fumes, creating a massive Explosion. And... it seems... both Pokemon are cleanly KO'd! It seems both Terrador and Athenodoros will be needing to send out their next Pokemon! Skuntank [Cyndel] (Female) Hp: KO Energy: KO Status: KO Other: KO Item: Life Orb
Terrador's Bench
v.s. Dragonite [Nidhogg] (Male) Hp: KO Energy: KO Status: KO Other: KO Item: Expert Belt
Atheno's Bench
Calculations
Terrador sends out his next Pokemon! Athenodoros sends out his next Pokemon! Terrador orders! Athenodoros orders! Next Time:

After some initial switching shenanigans, Terrador settles on his Nidoking and Athenodoros on his Starmie as the new combatants.
Nidoking [Agamemnon] (Male) Hp: 51 Energy: 79% Status: -10 Acc Other: none Item: Expert Belt
Terrador's Bench
v.s. Starmie [Astraea] (None) Hp: 46 Energy: 45% Status: none Other: none Item: Enigma Berry (0)
Atheno's Bench
The battle starts with Astraea blasting Agamemnon with one of her potent Psychic blasts. The attack leaves the Nidoking reeling, but still conscious. The giant beast retaliates with a Thunderbolt from his horn. Who knew living creatures were so good at conducting and storing electrical currents? Astraea tries to spray a huge blast of water at her foe, but Agamemnon gets the drop on her with a powerful Dual-Sucker Punch and cleanly knocks out the starfish. Nidoking [Agamemnon] (Male) Hp: 28 Energy: 40% Status: -10% Acc Other: none Item: Expert Belt
Terrador's Bench
v.s. Starmie [Astraea] (None) Hp: KO Energy: KO Status: KO Other: KO Item: Enigma Berry (0)
Atheno's Bench
Calculations
