Atheno, please don't try to give ideas of what the trap mon traps...Try to keep the trapping criteria a secret among us refs. ;) LORD JESSEUS Rock Crag - Rumble Hall You think the tremours that you kept on feeling would be too dangerous to investigate, so continue through the area until you can no longer feel the quakes. Whoo, no random Pokemon to battle, lucky you. Discretion is the better part of valour, you suppose...

Rock Crag - Vista You continue to make your way through the vertical crag, noticing the path's gradient becoming noticeably bigger, & the rotten, earthy smell becoming a lot more worse. eventually, you brave the smell & come across a beautiful place. This place turns out to be a vista that overlooks Timeless Tower. You can spot the bridge you came here in, and you still look up at the massive height of the main tower. You can spot the Iron Dungeon from here as well. There is some room to move up and get a better view, though there might be wild Pokemon here. So, how shall you proceed? a) Approach the edge of the Vista. b) Stay close to the wall and move on. ______________ ATHENODOROS Rock Crag - Vista You approach the edge of the vista & enjoy the view. You send out your Pokemon & take a little break, clearly making out the Iron Dungeon, where...No one's there. After a little break, you call your Pokemon back & calmly make your way to the Vista's exit. As you leave, you can't help but think you've managed to slip by something, but it doesn't worry you, as you move on to the next part of the Rock Crag...

Rock Crag - Petrified Forest As you leave the Vista, even more big gradient slopes confront you, as well as an even-worse earthy smell. The slopes are now becoming more unbearable than before, as you suddenly come across another chamber. This chamber is a desolate arena full of trees encased in magma long ago that have since solidified into solid rock. Although a light to the outside world still shines through, the place is so dusty and gloomy that the very sight of it depresses your spirit. As you enter, you can't help but think you're being watched. On a pedestal there appears to be a bottle of Fresh Water for no explicable reason, with a small tree on one side. It's possible the item could heal one of your Pokemon for 50 HP. Do you go for it? You also see an exit going further into the treacherous tower. So, what will you do? a) Take the Fresh Water! b) RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! |

I'll take that Fresh Water. I'm ready for my guardian battle. Although I'm kind of worried about this one. I hate guardian battles.

LORD JESSEUS
Rock Crag - Vista Not interested in the vista, you decide to move on to the next area, rushing about, but your skittishness about the Vista takes a turn for the worst, as you round the bend and come face to face with a Magcargo. Ordinarily you might try to go around, but Magcargo sets up a Smokescreen, and all of a sudden a blur flies out of it and grabs Omicron. It hurries off in the confusion with one of your Pokemon, and it will take two rounds before you can catch up. This does not look good for you, as the battle begins...
Battle Begin!

Magcargo: Flamethrower > Ancientpower > Flamethrower IF Agility (Evade), OR Protect successfully without transfer, THEN Light Screen AND push actions back, using Chill if triggered again ______________ ATHENODOROS Rock Crag - Petrified Forest You decide to pick up the Fresh Water & take the bait. But as soon as you lift the Fresh Water, sand starts blowing around & into your face. You manage to pick it up & seal it, but before you did, the sand got into it & contaminated it, reducing its strength to 60%. You then look around, & you find yourself cornered by a Sudowoodo & a Bolderdash. They don't look friendly, but you send in your three Pokemon to defend yourself. With the stage set, the battle is on! Arena Rules: Only Sandstorm Weather allowed. All other weathers will fail. No Water Supply.

Sorry for slight delay, also, Atheno, what I meant was IF X...IF Y, THEN Z, Otherwise, W, you get the gist, but I'm not going to be accepting those sort of subs future Guardian/One Sub battles. I'll let you get away with it now, but not in the future. Now, the updates.
LORD JESSEUS
Rock Crag - Vista Yup, +2 Speed is as stupid as you think, as Magcargo outspeeds you & deals a lot of damage...Poor Omicron, looks like she isn't going to last longer...Nevertheless, time to issue your actions.

Do yourself a favour, & after sitting there for hours cursing the screen, issue your actions. Consider yourself Lucky I didn't go for Mega Explosion, because I'm not THAT mean... :)

I didn't even realise it had +2 speed, and if I did even then speed boosts do not work how I thought they did (or how they should imo...)
In any case, this is dire. There's a combo I want to try, but I'm not sure if it is allowed/will work as intended. I want to use Hidden Power + Sucker Punch. Since Sucker Punch is really Ambush, and is vague in its mechanisms and also its DAT description*, I figure it is pheasable to 'feign weakness' and then 'strike with intense swiftness' by utilising Hidden Power. Also, both moves have Set CT. Sucker Punch is technically stronger, but in combo it only has half power due to giving the combo priority, which would allow Hidden Power to overpower it. So basically I want to use a Priority 11 BAP Ground Type Move comboing Sucker Punch and Hidden Power. I think my logic is sound personally. If you agree, my actions are: Hidden Power x3 If Fire Type Attacking Move: Sucker Punch+Hidden Power If Rock Type Attacking Move: Sucker Punch+Hidden Power If you disagree replace the subs with: use Protect, or Evasive Agility if protect was used last action (SDS's move to place them on the same counter has apparently been overturned by Deck)

And yes, CAPmons count as gen V in my books. I thought I'd be safe from that kind of shenanigans with Pert. Now I wish I hadn't brought him to this battle.
Anyway, at least now we can go back to the way things should be: Heal Ball ~ Swampert and Luke Chill, Bonsly uses Dig (Sudowoodo)

So my actions are invalid...
In that case: Hidden Power x3 If Rock Slide: Protect (but not twice in a row) If Fire Blast or Stone Edge: Pray for Miss :( (Not an actual sub) I'm curious, what was the reasoning against the combo?

lol, so were mine...
Just Heal Ball ~ Sport Ball then. And, to confirm, the rule is that once you throw a ball you then can't attack for the rest of the round? Because I've never heard that before.

Initially, I thought it was you couldn't thow a Poke Ball & issue normal actions in the same action, turns out you couldn't do it in the same round, it's either one or the other, after asking Engi on IRC about this. Also, you two could've just edited your actions, but pc++ is pc++, I guess...Anyways, the update.

Of course, you have access to the data, so you do know what Sudowoodo's stats should be. Now, Before your next RP, I require you to rearrange your team & items, also, this presents an opportunity to use non-Pokeball Items on your Pokemon, if you wish of course. Lastly, you can nickname Sudowoodo if you wish. DO. CLAIM. IT.

I throw a Heal Ball, then alternate sport balls and heal balls until the bastard replaces the teammate he knocked out (or until he gets to 100 EN and has an attack round...)
Btw, can I unequip items from a knocked out mon and put it on another?

lol. I didn't even mean to actually try to catch it. I just wanted to stall. But cool. And, in order, I add Sudowoodo to the team and remove Swampert, take Slowking's Expert Belt and give it to Sudowoodo. I shall from here on in call Sudowoodo Yggdrasil, although I'm not exactly sold on claiming him. I have many mons atm.

LJ, yes you can, but only when you "get the opportunity" to do so, that is, after a battle end. Atheno, you think ~19 mons is too many, compare your team size to MK...
LORD JESSEUS
Rock Crag - Vista It takes you a few attempts, but it was the second Sport Ball that catches the Magcargo for you. Congratulations. Not only you get the Lum Berry Magcargo was holding, but you also end up nabbing yourself a Fire Stone that was left behind. All said & done, with nothing else to see in the Vista, you move on to the next part of the crag...

Now comes the opportunity, rearrange your team & items if you wish & use Potions/Whatever if you wish. You also now have the opportunity to nickname Magcargo now if you wish. Do this & the new RP will be up soon. ______________ ATHENODOROS Rock Crag - Horn-Scratched Tunnel You continue on your merry way through the crag, up the massive slopes, before suddenly coming across another area. This place is a tunnel with noticeable scratch marks all over its sides. The Pokemon who live here have been slowly chipping away at the sides of the walls. You notice the tunnel is much wider than it is tall, the Pokemon apparently have little care for accommodating taller beings. From the looks of it though, this is a nest for the safety of younger Pokemon, even despite its scale. In order to continue you will have to purposely crouch down and enter the tunnel on your knees. Up ahead is a much larger hollow, where you suspect whatever watches over this den resides. In either case continuing could be risky. Which hollow shall you take? a) Crawl into the narrow burrow. b) Go into the larger hollow.

Yeah, but MK is ridiculous. He can't possibly actually use that many. And I just remembered, we don't edit posts in TLR so that the thread gets bumped. I think ASB is enough pc++ by itself.
And I go in to the larger tunnel.

Going through the hollow, you come out the other side & find a hollow that has distinctly different marks, like a Pokemon has been chomping into the sides and spitting out the remains. This hollow actually has a glint of iron in it, though as you look further down the walls it becomes less and less noticable. Considering the area is so close to the hollow, you imagine its designed to keep whatever lives in this area out, at least to its best extent. You find a Rhyhorn cornered by two Lairon. As you enter, they each take notice, and Rhyhorn, seeing its chance to flee, runs back down from whence you came. The Lairon aren't pleased you interrupted their meal & attack you. You send in your three Pokemon to counter & with the stage set, it was time to do battle.

I've seen a few attempts made to avoid this supposed "obvious trap" and as far as I know they all met with the same two Pokemon anyway, so I might as well get some fresh water out of it.

Rock Crag - Petrified Forest Things don't seem to be going well, with Sudowoodo baiting the EQ Sub & getting a crit on Magcargo which proves to be fatal when combined with a couple of Earth Powers...Worse yet is that Sudowoodo is still healthy at the moment, what can you do? Issue your actions.
