We will be voting through the following five slates in order. The first two are IRV; the following three are Bold Vote.

The fact that you don't benefit from the healing instantly unlike with Recover means, in order to be worth it, the move has to either cost much less energy or heal more in total than Recover. The energy cost of Aqua Ring is only 3 less than a 100 HP mon using Recover - not really worth waiting several actions to get the same benefit.

The first two choices are fairly straightforward. I think that 6 actions is a good duration for Aqua Ring, as anything else makes it virtually permanent. I refuse to add more bullshit effects to AR (and i really don't like them on any move), especially now that it's good. As for the healing move vote—i think giving 24 hp back to yourself for 9 en is too good to be infinite

We're trying to make the move viable for your average user - for that we want a higher amount of HP restored. Just my thoughts on the matter.

No.

The advantage of Ingrain is that you can't be switched out - the advantage of Aqua Ring is that you can. Odd, but true. Also means there's no justification to burn healing.

No

The lack of reliability in Aqua Ring's healing is what makes me vote no - it's like a very large leftovers, not a one shot boost.

I had been planning to say no to this, but 6 actions is remarkably short in relative terms and I think that the lessened duration justifies it being classified as a recovery move.
