Tiercasts

I feel that an integral part of the channel is discussion of the tiers in addition to the battles and other projects that we run.

With the Smogcast basically going dead, I feel it is time to get some more talk based videos up and running in the form of tiercasts. These will basically be 20-30 minute videos focusing in on one tier. Im hoping that we can pull off these videos at least once every few months for each tier with a rotating panlist to keep things interesting even if the tier does stagnate.

I just recorded the first one of these, which was a little cup Tiercast with Ray Jay, Blarajan, and Elevator Music which should be up with in the week. If anyone else is interested in participating in one of these for any of the Smogon Tiers, just post on this thread. It would also be able if people would be able to edit and record the calls so that I don't have to do that all myself. Right now I'm looking at having them for LC, NU, RU, UU, OU, Ubers, VGC, DW. Though if interest exists for other tiers I won't say no.

The basic format will be Current Meta-Game trends or discussion, then discussion of the best threats in the current meta-game, followed by underrated Pokemon that should be used more, but that can obviously be changed based on the tier in question and the experiences of the panel list.

For future tiercast's people will also be able to submit questions about the tier to be answered by the panel lists. I will try and get a leader for each tier that the questions can be PM'd or VM'd to and hopefully one person from each tier will also be able to edit the casts, since they will know the content they wish to include the best. Obviously if that doesn't work out I can always do it though.

Just wanted to throw it out there that we had a great time recording this and that it was really helpful at least for myself. Personally, I would highly encourage every metagame to get involved with this, as it's not only exposure for your metagame (which I know for LC is great!) it's a good starting point. For example, I know after recording ifm was like "hey, I want to build an LC team around this now." My 2 cents.
