Hp: 81 En: 100 Status: none Other: none Item: Expert Belt V.S. Hp: 100 En: 100 Status: none Other: none Item: Life Orb As quick as he came, a Pokemon goes. There is no hope for those who challenge the man of steel in this cold wasteland... C$FP begins his Empoleons first round with an order to Dive... into some vat of chemicals? The label says: "Dihydrogen Monoxide." Sounds dangerous whatever it is... Either way, because of his Dive, Camerupt is unable to hit him with his Earth Power. After the seismic blast passes him, Empoleon emerges and strikes the camel-volcano-confused design Pokemon with an incredibly powerful water-based uppercut. The strike is powerful enough to break through Camerupt's thick skin and strikes him critically. This blow angers Tormeldon, unleashing his utmost rage! Anger Point activates! C$FP again orders his penguin Pokemon to Dive, this time avoiding his enemy's Mud Bomb in the process. Again, he surfaces after Tormeldon's attack misses and strikes him with his watery flipper; this time with slightly less power. Finally, to add injury to insult to injury, Empoleon conjures up a large wave from the chemical vat to utterly destroy Camerupt. The crushing wave bears down on the (thankfully virtual) field and swamps it for awhile. When the "chemical" finally drains, Tormeldon can be seen lying on its back, clearly KO'd. Hp: KO En: 89 Status: none Other: +6 Atk Item: Expert Belt V.S. Hp: 94 En: 72 Status: none Other: none Item: Life Orb
Calculations
IAR sends out Gastrodon automatically, then C$FP orders first!

*looks at arena description, sighs in intense exasperation* I'm pretty sure it should say in the arena description itself, since I stated it in my PM the the heads of gyms, that the summary is what is important, and I had Glacier Knight write the flavor for me simply to make it more interesting, and in the case of any inconsistencies the summary trumps the flavor (I'm pretty sure I said something like that). Perhaps this isn't a valid argument right now, but this is very annoying to me, since I never in any way intended to restrict water or trees.

The problem is that if it's not mentioned in the summary, then the flavour, imo, takes precedence. I am aware that you are frustrated, & you have taken actions to fix this in the wake of what's happened, which is good. I would've proofread the flavour, if I were you, but...
Can someone on the Gym Committee please sort this out? Thank you. EDIT:

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the water thing. I assumed C$FP knew what he was doing considering its his gym design so, since there wasn't anything in the summary about it, I just figured there was a water source. (See my somewhat confused flavor for Dive and Surf...)

Sorry for all of the confusion. Now, Pimpoleon, show that thing which is the superior Water-type!
Grass Knot * 3 IF Mirror Coat, THEN Yawn the first time, Double Team (4) the second, Aqua Ring the third

![]() Hp: 110 En: 100 Status: none Other: none Item: Leftovers V.S. Hp: 94 En: 72 Status: none Other: none Item: Life Orb The Challenger is forced to recognize his impending doom as his last Pokemon falters against C$FP's sheer power. The (comparatively) swift Empoleon begins this match with the summoning of a thick mat of undergrowth from... beneath the floor? Perhaps this is due to that mysterious "Dihydrogen Monoxide" chemical we saw earlier... Anyways, this Grass Knot trips up Gastrodon before he can attack and does massive damage to the slug-like creature! Sleast attempts to inflict equal pain to his penguin foe with his own terrestrial-based attack, Earth Power. The Earth Power knocks Empoleon off balance slightly, but does nowhere near the amount of damage his Grass Knot did. The next two rounds go on just like the first; unfortunately for Sleast, as each round passes, the gap between their respective conditions widens further and further... ![]() Hp: 34 En: 77 Status: none Other: none Item: Leftovers V.S. The long, painful battle finally comes to a close. Will this Gym Leader return to redeem himself?
Sleast struggles in vain to defeat his foe, but Empoleon's second Grass Knot is too powerful for the Gastrodon to handle... Gym Leader C$FP wins! Prizes: C$FP gets 2 CC Steelix gets 3 MC and 1 KOC Empoleon gets 3 MC and 2 KOC IAR gets 3 CC Gliscor gets 3 MC Camerupt gets 3 MC and 1 KOC Gastrodon gets 3 MC I get 7 UC Congratulations to C$FP and GG to all!

GG IAR. That first match-up was quite fun. I will definitely find some way for me to be beatable by at the very least one of the gym leaders whose type is super-effective against Steel... any suggestions?

Imo, get rid of the shrapnel. It seems incredibly unnecessary and allows you to win any stall war with ease.
