While we knew the four playoff teams going into week 9, the seeds were decided to at least make last week a little bit relevant. The Bigs managed to have a perfect week on the last week of the season to get their BD up to 29 and keep them ahead of the Indie Scooters, who finished +17, as both teams won to finish 8-1. The Ruiners apparently missed the memo about it being super tryhard week(but lost anyway), and the Raiders fell to the Scooters, leaving our 3rd and 4th seeds at 6-3, with the Ruiners taking 3rd due to their significantly higher BD.

I guess it just wouldn't be the SPL playoffs without Scooters vs. Ruiners. The only two teams to make the playoffs all three years go head to head in the playoffs for the third time. After first facing off in the SPL1 finals, these two teams battle each other in the 2/3 game for the second year in a row to see who gets to make yet another finals appearance. Not to ham it up even more, but it's pretty amazing that these teams have managed to make it to the playoffs three times each, as no other team has made it more than once(Cryonicles, Tigers, Sharks, Wolfpack, Bigs, and Raiders have now all done it once each). I hope the Scooters win so Atticus can have one final chance to actually send his roster in with the metagames in the right order.

The battle of the Raiders and Bigs has a little less history beyond perhaps being the Jabbabowl, but as a former manager I feel good about the Bigs finally making the playoffs since Fabbles was always one of the better managers. 8-1 in the regular season is no small feat(even this year...), so the Raiders will likely have quite a Pokemon battle on their hands. Yeah.

I doubt there'll be any issues this week given that it is the playoffs and all, but please don't fuck around dodging matches at this point. You've all been playing all season to get this point, if you aren't ready now you aren't going to get there.

IFM is a great player, maybe even the best BW OUer in SPL so far, but i know Aqualouis and he has the playstyle and he's able to be as good as IFM in a face-to-face, this should be great.
