Some things to note:

-NU almost has more battles than RU and Ubers combined. Keep up the great work guys! (Both forums now have "Revitalizing the Ladder" threads now)

-Golem is probably the all around best Pokemon in NU.

-Usage of suspects is not evidence that a suspect is/isn't broken.

-Metang still sucks.

-Emboar is quietly the best anti-meta Pokemon at the moment.

-The 1200 usage of Kangaskahn shows, at least in part, that research weeks work in finding good Pokemon.

Also the Rock-type lead usage could also be partly attributed to Charizard.

It isn't just Charizard: Cryogonal, Armaldo, Magmortar, Swellow, Braviary, Rotom-S, and Altaria are all weak to SR, and these are "top" offensive and defensive Pokemon. Especially Cryogonal and Armaldo; the top 2 spinners being weak to SR means they have to come in and take 25% before getting rid of it (and Armaldo especially can't heal it off).

From what I played it looks like it, but I am surprised to see Gigalith and Bastidon up there. Maybe is because I did'nt play enough this month, but I rarely see those 2.

Yeah of course it isn't just Charizard, hence why I said partly. NU right now is really centered around getting up rocks (and keeping them up, just look at Misdreavus usage). Jynx also makes that list of huge offensive threats weak to SR.

What makes me happy to see is that there has been three to four times as many battles in April than in March. People are finally realizing what a great tier NU is!

On another note, I'm not surprised to see Cryogonal pass Armaldo as top spinner. It can come in on most of the special attackers in the tier and pull off a spin. Misdreavus can be Toxic stalled as long as it's not SubPlot, and that loses about one third of its hp from Ice Beam. Other benefits include reliable Recovery and not being mauled by Spikes, which are becoming more popular. It can form a great defensive core with something such as Quagsire or Tangela (or both!). Definitely one of my favorite Pokemon to use in the tier.

It's good to see Ludicolo, Charizard and Sawsbuck fitting into NU nicely.

I'm sort of surprised at the high Golem usage, I see it all the time so not surprised in that regard, but it isn't the out and out best SR setter imo. All of them have their pros and cons and I think it may just be a current trend that may swing back to Regirock or something else in future.

Surprised at the Armaldo usage too because it has pros and definitely plenty of cons, more than Golem imo but I guess Rapid Spin is a big big advantage.

I'm also kind of surprised at the likes of Samurott, Serperior and Garbodor being so low; I always thought I used some common Pokemon but I guess not. My current team doesn't have a single Poke in the top 22! They do appear more in the 1200 stats though so that's reassuring.

Interesting stuff, the tiers have shifted a load this month. Interesting to see Wartortle rise back to his previous usage and for Torkoal to fall off the radar almost completely, while the drops in Lickilcky, Vileplume and Probopass are also pretty weird. A lot of the rises can be attributed to research week, but Gardevoir has clearly come in to try and fill for Mesprit (perhaps unsuccessfully) and Cryogonal is presenting itself as the dominant Spinner. Glad to see Rampardos usage rising too, this thing beats the crap out of Golem.

I really think Emboar should get more usage. 27 in total stats and 20 in 1200+, seriously?

At least Braviary is now starting to rise, another mon that really deserves it.

Good stats, haven't seen morty at all this month so I'm suprised it's #1. Nonetheless it still does the same thing as before, hit like Fat Boy from the Manhattan Project. Golem definitely deserves his spot on the list for being as multi-faceted as it is with only four moves. Biggest perk is the unexpected sucker ppunch when most people think they're going to get the kill.

Slops are mainly the lack of emboar and cinccino in the top 20, both are really good and definitely need the spotlight more. Volbeat should get some props too.

Thinking the same thing.

Anyway i'm so happy that anyone start to realize that Cryo is really usefull as he can serve as a special wall or a special (and pretty fast) attacker. Personally i prefer the last with LO he can outspeed a lot of things and damage them pretty hard plus he can spin & recover and being weak only to SR makes him even more awesome.

it does literally nothing that something such as golem couldnt do better, it also has no form of recovery outside of restalk, and base 75 attack is just too weak for a recoveryless tank. at least have base 110 attack like golem or regirock (protip: max defense regirock can actually check everything metang does iirc, while having more attack and even drain punch or twave)
