List of people who post in a given thread

One thing we do on Smogon a lot of is make lists of users. most notably, for tournaments and for wifi giveaways, the host has to list out all the users who post in the op in order, usually numbered as well. Its extremely tedious and time consuming to go down a list of people and type out everyone's name, and this seems like a task much more suitable for a simple computer program. I'm not sure of Vbulletin's restrictions, but I was wondering if it would be possible to make such that the OP could use some sort of bbcode to automatically list all the people who post in the thread, in order, in the first post. It would make certain tasks on the forum much easier.

Click on the number of posts next to a thread, and then you get something like this.

I vaguely remember seeing that somewhere, but it doesn't exactly solve the problem for the main situations in which it arises (tournaments, namely, where it needs to be in order for you to cut off at a certain point). Though I can understand why the thread's name may be a bit misleading.
edit: what a terrible post for a 1.5k
