"Luna dashes out of the gate, gouting fire all over Derrial Book! The kirlia looks utterly pissed off! Meanwhile Marluxia throws a protective blue barrier around Luna, shielding her from harm! Good thing too, as River Tam just launched a tri attack at her! Derrial Book claps to help the attack increase in mass, but it just can't break through that shield!

Luna dashes out of the barrier, entrapping herself and Derrial Book in a cage of flames! Derrial doesn't seem too fazed, launching a insult at Marluxia, taunting him and his mother, but not before the Bayleef can surround himself in a golden cage of light! Meanwhile River Tam resumes faffing about, lobbing a tri attack at bayleef, which doesn't do much due to the golden box.

Luna breaks the cage to spit a intense gout of flame at Derrial Book! Derrial uses this oppertunity to launch a flaming uppercut at Marluxia, who proceeds to slam him with his massive girth (you can't ignore it.). Meanwhile, River Tam launches a freezing beam at Marluxia, causing the poor thing to stagger around. That looks like it hurt!"

The correct Ice Beam a3 is [10*2/3+(1.5*5)-(1.5*3)]*1.5 = 14.5

you also calculated weakness wrong. In ASB, Weakness only multiplies attack power by 3/2. Likewise, resistance cuts it to 2/3. ergo the correct calc for fire punch is:

6.5*1.5 = 9.75

this should leave Bayleef at 54 HP instead of 57

"Well folks it seems that Luna is once again trying to ensnare Derrial Book in a flame cage, but the Kirlia teleports out of the way! Meanwhile, Marluxia tries to smack Derrial Book with a energy ball, but he too misses due to the evasive teleport! While all this faffing about occurs, River Tam quietly sets up a substitute that looks just like him, fooling the other contestants!

Then Kirlia starts clapping as Marluxia sends out a smattering of leaves...it looks like River Tam is charging up and - HOLY CRAP people River Tam launches a GIGANTIC frigid beam of ice at Marluxia! The bayleef just can't take it, and OOOH down he goes! Meanwhile, Luna resumes her attempts to roast Derrial Book, spitting yet more flames at him. That Kirlia is going to need some burn treatment after this match!

It seems that last attack really took the wind out of River Team as he's huffing and puffing, trying to recharge! Meanwhile, Luna rams straight into Derrial Book, dealing a small amount of damage as the Ponyta leaps off of him! It seems like she's even faster folks! Derrial and Luna glow white as Derrial seems to get healthier, Luna's flames dying down oh so little, it looks like Derrial just split their pain! The odds are against her! Can Luna avenge her fallen comrade and win this!?"
