Politoed (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Drizzle EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Scald - Toxic - Encore - Ice Beam Set up the encore so I can either Toxic, or safely switch into Dragonite. Also very capable of taking most Special Attacks. http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/8/8b/149Dragonite.png Dragonite (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Multiscale EVs: 252 HP / 108 SAtk / 148 SDef Hardy Nature - Hurricane - Thunder - Dragon Tail - Roost With Drizzle from Poli up, Dragonite can use Thunder at it's discretion. Can both take and deal out damage. http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/...Hitmonchan.gif Hitmonchan (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Iron Fist EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Ice Punch - ThunderPunch - Drain Punch - Mach Punch - ? Physical Sweeper. Ice and Thunder Punch are for his basic weaknesses and Drain Punch has saved me many times. Wondering about Mach Punch. http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/f/fb/143Snorlax.png Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers - ? Trait: Thick Fat EVs: 188 HP / 104 Def / 216 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Curse - Fire Punch - Rest - Body Slam Flies in, curses a few times, rests, and then basically OHKOs most things. I am wondering if Leftovers is the best choice over like Chesto Berry. http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/th...-128Tauros.png Tauros (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 252 Atk / 24 Def / 4 SAtk / 228 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Rock Slide - Iron Tail - Hidden Power [Ghost] I tried to make a sort of mixed attacking Tauros here. I can see how it's not the best choice, but that's why I'm here. http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/d9/464Rhyperior.png Rhyperior (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Solid Rock EVs: 208 HP / 252 Atk / 48 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Stone Edge - Megahorn - Stealth Rock Overall tank. Counters Tyranitar pretty well. First off, I see the many weaknesses to Fighting out there. I also see how there is only one guy (Dragonite) that benefits from Drizzle. Feel free to shoot me down or whatever. Thanks

first, you need longer descriptions. Tell us why you picked that monster, how it's helped and how it's let you down. second, you didn't do the pictures quite right. you see the little mountain picture at the top of the message box? use that and enter the image location in the pop-up window.
now the actual rate. your team is odd, to say the least. You use rain, yet only one of your monsters benefits from it in any significant way. In fact, none of your other pokemon even have a water move, or thunder. They don't even have a fire weakness for the rain to halve. Either give up on rain and trade out politoed for something a little tougher, or make a team that can make better use of the rain. You could go with toxicroak over hitmonchan. He gets free healing from the rain, and is generally a strong attacker. You could use any number of monsters that make better use of rain than the ones on this team. mixed tauros is a horrible idea. he has pitiful special attack, and choice band only boosts attack anyway. Tauros really isn't that great either. and with him, snorlax, and rhyperior on this team, you have three weaknesses to fighting, a very common offensive type these days. Also, rest without chesto or sleep talk is not a good idea. You really don't want snorlax sitting there for two or three turns waiting on your opponent to set up and kill him. There are....a lot of things wrong with this team. I would say look at how other people put together their teams, consider the weaknesses and resistances of your team, and try to make sure that they work together well. Another big problem with this team is that five of your six monsters are physical attackers, which means that this team could easily be stopped by walls like skarmory and gliscor. These are the kinds of things you have to consider when putting together a team, and it's a big problem with this team. Sorry to say, but i would recommend scrapping this team entirely, and starting over. |

Fair enough. This is my first competitive team and I sort of threw together guys I liked over smart picks. I won't scrap it, I'll just make changes for a more rainy team.
