SKY SCREAMER
![]() Welcome everyone, to Electrolyte's OU Warstory, SkyScreamer. This is Smogon Theme Park's most turbulent and twisting ride, featuring constant grapple of weather control and many twist and turns between Electrolyte and his opponent, MAGIC123. Riders will experience a match between the very common Rain Balanced face off against the lesser Sun Stall. Both players are experienced and have very solid teams. Fasten your seat belts- and get ready for a bumpy ride! My comments will be in bold. I will take out Life Orb and Leftover recovery after the first turn. Because this warstory is long, I will separate it into three posts. My team: My team is based on the strategy of Sun Stall. Specially Defensive Ninetales is there to keep the Sun up, and Jumpluff and Tentacruel spread status and leech seed and keep hazards off of my own side. Heatran’s set might look weird to some of you- it’s the trapper set. I use it to bait Politoeds, trap them with Magma Storm, Sunny Day in their face, and then SolarBeam them to death, and win me the weather war. Finally, I have Scarfed Latios and Choice Banded Terrakion to clean up weakened teams and revenge kill. MAGIC123's team: MAGIC’s team is a standard balanced ream team; featuring defensive Politoed, SpD Jirachi, and SubCharge Magnezone. He also has a standard Ferrothorn, LO Tornadus-T, and Iron Ball+Trick Latios. Remember, we both have totally no idea what sets and strategies the other person uses, so neither of us have any advantage. WARNING- THIS WARSTORY IS OVER 70 TURNS LONG. THOSE WITH HEART PROBLEMS AND BACK PROBLEMS SHOULD PLEASE REFRAIN FROM THE RIDE. THANK YOU. electrolyte joined. MAGIC123 joined. Format: OU Rated battle Rule: Sleep Clause Rule: Species Clause Rule: OHKO Clause Rule: Evasion Clause electrolyte's team:Ninetales / Heatran / Tentacruel / Jumpluff / Latios / Terrakion MAGIC123's team:Politoed / Ferrothorn / Tornadus-Therian / Jirachi / Latios / Magnezone electrolyte: hello MAGIC123: hi Battle between electrolyte and MAGIC123 started! electrolyte sent out Heatran! MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! Heatran floats in the air with its Air Balloon! 100% VS Turn 1 electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Tentacruel! The foe's Tornadus-Therian used U-turn! It's not very effective... Tentacruel lost 10% of its health! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost some of its HP! MAGIC123 called Tornadus-Therian back! MAGIC123 sent out Magnezone! Tentacruel restored HP using its Black Sludge! --> (glares) 100% VS 100% (makes some weird dubstep noises) <--I start out with my Trapper Heatran, because I wanted to catch a potential Politoed lead and eliminate it early in the match. Of course, MAGIC wasn't dumb enough to lead with his inducer, and started with Tornadus-T. Fearing a Superpower, I switched to my Rain counter- Tentacruel, because I knew it could handle everything Tornadus could throw at it. However, MAGIC U-Turns out, and switches to Magnezone. Turn 2 Tentacruel used Protect! Tentacruel protected itself! The foe's Magnezone used Substitute! The foe's Magnezone put in a substitute! The foe's Magnezone lost 25% of its health! The foe's Magnezone restored HP using its Leftovers! (oh snap) 100% VS 81% (ha ha take that in the ass)I go with Protect to scout what he's going to do. I hope to catch him into a Scarfed Volt-Switch, but my cautiousness comes back to bite me in the ass as he Substitutes. Turn 3 Tentacruel used Scald! The foe's Magnezone's substitute faded! The foe's Magnezone used Thunder! It's super effective! Tentacruel lost 100% of its health! Tentacruel fainted! electrolyte sent out Heatran! Heatran floats in the air with its Air Balloon! 0% FAINTED --> (oh no you didn’t) 100% VS 87% (oh yes I did)5-6 MAGIC *shrill scream* This is probably the worst decision I had made in the whole match- and it constantly spanked me the whole time. I expected him to go for a Charge Beam, and try to set up on me, so I used Scald to hit him past his Sub. However, he goes straight for the Thunder, and OHKO's my main Rain counter. Shit. I switch into Heatran, to try to chase him out, and bait in Politoed for the kill, and try to just gain a scrap more momentum, because I’ve lost it all. I’m just going to have to rely on sheer prediction to win this match. Turn 4 MAGIC123 called Magnezone back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! Heatran used Sunny Day! The sunlight turned harsh! (*trollface*) 100% VS 100% (FUUUU) <-- MAGIC takes the bait and sends the little ugly toed in. I go with my plan of eliminating Rain, and I go for Sunny Day. It cancels his Rain, and allows me to go for a Solar Beam to OHKO. Although the actually set is supposed to Magma Storm the Politoed as it comes in, I had no idea whether it was Scarfed or not, so I went for the safer option of Sunny Day. The thing is; the set doesn’t work on Scarfed Politoeds, so I had to be cautious and I didn’t want to lose another pokemon to silly mistakes. Magma Storm would have been an OK idea right here, but Sunny Day would be safer, because now even if he is Scarfed he has to switch out. I get to keep my Sun. Turn 5 MAGIC123: errr...what? electrolyte: heh MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Heatran used SolarBeam! Heatran absorbed light! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 18% of its health! (run, run bitch) 100% VS 82% (You can’t touch me) <-- So he sends in his Latios. I still have no idea wether his Politoed is Scarfed or not, because any player would switch Politoed out in that situation out even if it was Scarfed. Latios takes the SolarBeam like nothing, and I notice that he doesn't have Lefties, which means that he’s probably choiced. Now, from a previous battle I was pretty sure Magma Storm in the Sun was a 2HKO, and that even Specs Surf would never OHKO me. So I stay in, and go for Magma Storm. Turn 6 Heatran used Magma Storm! The attack of Heatran missed! The foe's Latios used Surf! It's super effective! Heatran lost 38% of its health! Heatran's Air Balloon popped! (*middle fingers at RNG*) 62% VS 82% (LOL) So yeah, once again my choice comes back to bite me in the butt. Magma Storm misses, I curse, he makes a generic comment combining 'Magma Storm' and 'miss' into one word, and we continue on. Weird thing is, I outsped him, and the only Latios set I know that is outsped by Heatran is the uncommon Iron Ball+Trick set. I make a mental note in my head. Turn 7 electrolyte: wow MAGIC123: no MAGIC123: 70% acc is horrible electrolyte: actually electrolyte: 75 electrolyte: but yeah, MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! Heatran used Magma Storm! It's not very effective... The foe's Politoed lost 14% of its health! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! The foe's Politoed is hurt by Magma Storm! (ugh so ugly) 62% VS Magma Storm 92% (durr) <-- So he switches his Latios out into his Politoed, bringing Rain up to start the weather war. I go for Magma Storm, and it hits. I thank the Lady of Luck, not because I was aiming to kill the ugly toed, but because I got a very important shred of information- that his Politoed had Leftovers. Now, I could safely continue with the trapping strategy. Turn 8 Heatran used Sunny Day! The sunlight turned harsh! The foe's Politoed used Encore! Heatran received an encore! The foe's Politoed is hurt by Magma Storm! (I MUST PLEASE THE NEEDS OF POLITOED) 62% VS Magma Storm 92% (Durr)I once again fall in another trap. He read my plan straight through, and his ugly Toed Encores and locks my Heatran into Sunny Day. Unfortunately, I cannot SolarBeam now, but I have at least got Sun up in the face of his inducer, meaning that he'll have to double switch in order to bring his weather back up. Turn 9 electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Jumpluff! The foe's Politoed used Scald! It's not very effective... Jumpluff lost 8% of its health! Jumpluff restored HP using its Leftovers! The foe's Politoed's magmastorm ended! --> (Puffballs get kicked) 98% VS 98% (Durr) Turn 10 MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Jumpluff used Encore! But it failed! (looks mischievous) 100% VS 82% (Imma kill you now Puffball) <-- Turn 11 Jumpluff used Substitute! Jumpluff put in a substitute! Jumpluff lost 25% of its health! The foe's Latios used Dragon Pulse! Jumpluff's substitute faded! (yeah bro you can’t touch this) 81% VS 82% (eventually you’ll go down man)Turn 12 Jumpluff used Sleep Powder! The foe's Latios fell asleep! The foe's Latios is fast asleep. The sunlight faded. (*seduces*) 87% VS 82% (nighty night) I condensed the next few turns, because they were long and not much happened. I switch to Jumpluff expecting a Scald, and aim to lock him into it and then set up on him. He doesn't fall for it though, and goes for Latios. I go for a Substitute (also just in case he decides to Trick) to scout what he's going to do, and he breaks my sub with Dragon Pulse. I then put him to sleep with Sleep Powder, and hope to set up on him some more. Turn 13 MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Magnezone! Jumpluff used Substitute! Jumpluff put in a substitute! Jumpluff lost 25% of its health! The foe's Magnezone restored HP using its Leftovers! (just putting up some protection) 56% VS 93% (do you want to play a game?) <--![]() Turn 14 Jumpluff used Leech Seed! The attack of Jumpluff missed! The foe's Magnezone used Substitute! The foe's Magnezone put in a substitute! The foe's Magnezone lost 25% of its health! (crap) 62% VS 74% (yeah I know your own medicine is so bitter) Turn 15 Jumpluff used Encore! The foe's Magnezone received an encore! The foe's Magnezone used Substitute! The foe's Magnezone already has a substitute! (Impress me *flutters eyelashes*) 68% VS 80% (BORK MUST IMPRESS PUFFBALL BEEP)I condensed these turns too, because it's just more stalling. He switches to Magnezone as I Substitute again. I then use Leech Seed but miss, and he goes for Substitute. I then Encore, and lock him into it. Turn 16 electrolyte called Jumpluff back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! MAGIC123 called Magnezone back! MAGIC123 sent out Jirachi! --> (time for some fried metal) 100% VS 100% (I don’t like to be cooked) <-- ![]() We both double switch. I send out Ninetales to put my Sun back up and hope to fry his Steel robot with Flamethrower. He, however, sends out Jirachi, which isn't a bad thing either- it's one of the only things getting in the way of my Latios. Ninetales is perfectly capable of handling the fat little bitch, so I go for the Flamethrower. Turn 17 The foe's Jirachi used Body Slam! Ninetales lost 25% of its health! Ninetales was paralyzed! It may be unable to move! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's super effective! The foe's Jirachi lost 54% of its health! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! The foe's Jirachi restored HP using its Leftovers! (why are you so fat) 81% VS 52% (yeah how do you like that)He Slams me with his fat body, and I get paralyzed (because why the heck not.) I use Flamethrower, taking off a huge chunk of his HP- crippling him hard for the rest of the match. The smell of melting metal fills the air. Still, the smell isn’t as pleasant as roasting Celebi with Fire Blast- cooked onion is always better than melting metal. Turn 18 MAGIC123 called Jirachi back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Jumpluff! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! Jumpluff restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (ugh uglier than Medusa) 74% VS 100% (Durr) <-- ![]() Now, I didn't want to lose Ninetales to his Paraflinching crap, so I try to switch to Jumpluff to try to lock him into Iron Head. However, he switches to Politoed, and puts me at another bad position- I know Ice Beam would OHKO me. I have to switch. Turn 19 electrolyte called Jumpluff back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! The foe's Politoed used Ice Beam! It's not very effective... Ninetales lost 7% of its health! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (hah, weather’s mine biotch) 80% VS 100% (Durr) Turn 20 The foe's Politoed used Scald! It's super effective! Ninetales lost 19% of its health! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Politoed lost 20% of its health! (I love eating burnt frogs) 67% VS 86% (Durr)I switch to Ninetales to take an Ice Beam and switch the weather back into my favor. I know his Scald won't do much to me in the Sun, and I don't fear a burn so I go for the Flamethrower, and hope for a burn on his side. I don't get one, unfortunately, but it does do a nice chunk of damage. Turn 21 MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Magnezone! Ninetales used Substitute! Ninetales put in a substitute! Ninetales lost 25% of its health! The foe's Magnezone restored HP using its Leftovers! (yeah I don’t play games) 48% VS 86% (more dubstep) <-- Seeing as Scald is doing less than 25%, I went for the Substitute. He, however, knows he won't win that skirmish so he switches into Magnezone as a fodder, so he can bring in Politoed afterwards to switch the weather back to Rain. Lucky him, because I don't go for the kill, and his Magnezone gets to live to see another Sunny Day. *ba dum tsss* Turn 22 MAGIC123 called Magnezone back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Politoed lost 6% of its health! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! (you can still cook in the Rain) 54% VS 86% (Hurr) <--![]() Turn 23 The foe's Politoed used Scald! A critical hit! It's super effective! Ninetales's substitute faded! Ninetales is paralyzed! It can't move! (…) 60% VS 92% (Durr)He switches back to Politoed and saves his Magnezone. I go for the safe Flamethrower, but it does pitiful damage. Since I have a Substitute up, I try to stay in and attack, but I get paralyzed. Yeah, I know. Hax just hate me. Turn 24 electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Latios! The foe's Politoed used Scald! It's not very effective... Latios lost 18% of its health! --> (I love fashion) 82% VS 98% (Durr) I switch to Latios to take the scald, as Jumpluff can't do much to Politoed at this point. I start to put on some offensive pressure on him, and possibly bring up some bad switches and turn the tables. Turn 25 electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Ferrothorn! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (mmm, roast metal grass ball covered in thorns) 66% VS 100% (What hazards should I lay?) <-- ![]() I know he's going to call Ferrothorn out so I send out Ninetales to fry him. Ferrothorn is currently the only thing walling Jumpluff, so getting it out of the way will greatly help me in the match. Turn 26 MAGIC123 called Ferrothorn back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Terrakion! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (time to wreck shit) 100% VS 100% (Durr) <-- ![]() I could smell his ugly Toed from a mile away, so I switch to Terrakion to try to kill it and win the weather war. My Terrakion is Banded, so I thought I could OHKO it. I thought. Turn 27 Terrakion used Close Combat! The foe's Politoed lost 66% of its health! Terrakion's Defense fell! Terrakion's Special Defense fell! The foe's Politoed used Scald! It's super effective! Terrakion lost 100% of its health! Terrakion fainted! MAGIC123: banded electrolyte: :O electrolyte: yeah electrolyte: but I didn't expect it to do that little electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! 0% FAINTED --> (I’m hungrier than ever) 72% VS 40% (Hurr) 4-6 MAGIC SHIT. So Close Combat doesn’t even do 75%. He replies with a Scald, and OHKO’s me. And there goes my Terrakion. I probably should have known it wouldn’t have KO’d though, because if you’ve ever punched a toad, you know that it doesn’t hurt them much. I send in Ninetales to switch the weather back to Sun, and try to force him out. Turn 28 MAGIC123: 252hp/252+def/4spdef electrolyte: yeah MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 19% of its health! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! (just let me cook dammit) 78% VS 63% (don’t you dare disturb my beauty sleep) <-- He calls back his Politoed and sends out his sleeping Latios to take my Flamethrower. He’s still asleep, so I don’t worry about taking hits too much. Also, should he even carry the move Surf, it won’t be doing much, because he’s not choiced and my Sun’s up. Turn 29 The foe's Latios is fast asleep. Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 16% of its health! (Nice weather today isn’t it) 84% VS 47% (beauty level- 75%) He stays in, as does I, and I continue to chip away at his health. I really really want to send in my own Latios to take him out, but I’m super scared that he’ll wake up and KO me. With my luck, it’s almost certain that he will. Turn 30 The foe's Latios is fast asleep. Ninetales used Substitute! Ninetales put in a substitute! Ninetales lost 25% of its health! (just in case) 65% VS 47% (beauty level- 90%)

Turn 31
The foe's Latios is fast asleep. Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 19% of its health! (I’m going to need a wheel chair after this) 71% VS 28% (beauty level- OVER 9,000) Turn 32 The foe's Latios woke up! The foe's Latios used Recover! The foe's Latios regained health! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 18% of its health! (FUUUU) 77% VS 60% (I’m ready to roll) So for the next few turns I continue to chip away at his health, safely behind a sub. Once he wakes up, he Recovers, and I realize how retarded it was to stay in. *Facepalm* Turn 33 The foe's Latios used Recover! The foe's Latios regained health! Ninetales is paralyzed! It can't move! (urk *drools*) 83% VS 60% (yeah I’m a greedy little bitch)Turn 34 The foe's Latios used Dragon Pulse! Ninetales's substitute faded! Ninetales used Hypnosis! The foe's Latios fell asleep! (you’re not beautiful enough, girl) 89% VS 60% (*snooze*)He Recovers again as I get parahaxed. Just my luck, of course. I still don’t dare switch out, because his Latios can hit my whole team hard. And I don’t want to risk Heatran if his Politoed hasn’t gone down yet. He then Dragon Pulses to break my Sub, but I put him to sleep once again. Boy, I love sedation. Turn 35 MAGIC123: tht is just annoying MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Latios! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (you ready to die?) 82% VS 46% (Durr) <-- This is where I start to get my game on. It’s obvious that he’s going to switch his Politoed in to take another Flamethrower, so I double switch to Latios and threaten to OHKO with Draco Meteor. Turn 36 electrolyte: lol MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Ferrothorn! Latios used Surf! It's not very effective... The foe's Ferrothorn lost 18% of its health! The foe's Ferrothorn restored HP using its Leftovers! (I love swimming) 82% VS 88% (I’m just as metally as ever~) <-- ![]() Now, my Latios has the moves Hidden Power Fire / Draco Meteor / Surf / Trick, so I have a bunch of options to use. I was very tempted to just spam Draco again, but I know that either his Jirachi or his Ferrothorn would come in. I knew Hidden Power would do nothing to Jirachi, and Surf would do nothing to Ferrothorn. I decided that his Jirachi was more of a threat then and there, so I went for Surf. Of course he sent out Ferrothorn. Turn 37 MAGIC123: i hv hypnosis on this politosd too electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! The foe's Ferrothorn used Leech Seed! Ninetales was seeded! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! Ninetales's health is sapped by Leech Seed! --> (I can smell the barbecue already) 83% seeded VS 100% (I will kill you slowly) Aside from the numerous grammatical errors in his chat, he still had pretty good control of the match. I send out Ninetales to try to fry Ferrothorn, but he uses Leech Seed, and I am further annoyed. Damn, those Steel types piss me off. Turn 38 electrolyte: Rain is a bit of a hassle for me to handle electrolyte: especially when Tenta goes down MAGIC123: why don't you have energy ball on this thing? Is it specially defensive? MAGIC123 called Ferrothorn back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Heatran! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (Time to get sun back up) 62% VS 52% (Hurr) <-- ![]() Turn 39 MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! Heatran used Magma Storm! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost 38% of its health! The foe's Tornadus-Therian is hurt by Magma Storm! (You should know better than to fly near a volcano) 62% VS Magma Storm He switches to Politoed to take a Flamethrower, but I read him well and send in my Heatran to try to end things right then and there. He then switches again to Tornadus-T, and I Magma Storm- it does a nice chunk to him, especially since he has a Life Orb. Turn 40 electrolyte: Ninetales? electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! The foe's Tornadus-Therian used Superpower! Ninetales lost 42% of its health! The foe's Tornadus-Therian's Attack fell! The foe's Tornadus-Therian's Defense fell! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost some of its HP! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! The foe's Tornadus-Therian's magmastorm ended! --> (taken like a boss) 47% VS I fear Superpower, so I switch to Ninetales to take a Hurricane/Superpower/U-Turn. It doesn’t do much, but still a hefty chunk. Thank god for stat drop recoil. I know he’s going to switch out now. Turn 41 electrolyte called Ninetales back! electrolyte sent out Heatran! The foe's Tornadus-Therian used U-turn! It's not very effective... Heatran lost 3% of its health! MAGIC123 called Tornadus-Therian back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! --> (I’m getting ready to Storm some Magma) 59% VS 60% (this ball is so heavy) <-- I send out Heatran again to take the obvious U-Turn, and he switches to Latios. His Latios is still asleep, so I didn’t find the need to switch. I go straight for the Magma Storm, and hope he stays asleep. Turn 42 Heatran used Magma Storm! The attack of Heatran missed! The foe's Latios is fast asleep. (crap) 59% VS 66% (beauty level- Jynx)Turn 43 electrolyte: ugh Heatran used Magma Storm! The attack of Heatran missed! The foe's Latios is fast asleep. (FUUUUUU) 59% VS 66% (beauty level- Gothitelle) Turn 44 electrolyte: double ugh MAGIC123: lol Heatran used Magma Storm! It's not very effective... The foe's Latios lost 39% of its health! The foe's Latios is fast asleep. The foe's Latios is hurt by Magma Storm! (you lazy bitch you) 59% VS 21% (beauty level- FEEBAS) Okay, so Magma Storm misses 2 fricking times, but serves me right for retardedly keeping Heatran in. Good thing his Latios is asleep the whole time too, or else I would have probably died. Turn 45 electrolyte: and that didn't do much electrolyte: last time I did that to a latios, it did 54% electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Latios! The foe's Latios woke up! The foe's Latios used Recover! The foe's Latios regained health! The foe's Latios's magmastorm ended! --> (Scarves beats balls all the time) 82% VS 71% (I feel FABULOUS)I decide to play it risky, and switch to my own Latios. My heart explodes for a second as his Latios wakes up, and I relax as he goes for the Recover. Narrowly missed ass kicking by a hair. Turn 46 MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Jirachi! Latios used Hidden Power! It's super effective! The foe's Jirachi lost 48% of its health! The foe's Jirachi restored HP using its Leftovers! (Nailed ya) 82% VS 10% (I hate being cooked) <-- It’s super obvious that his fat Jirachi is coming in to take a Draco, so I go for the Sun boosted Hidden Power Fire. I must have forgotten to put evs in my Latios or something, because it doesn’t even do 50%. I know he’s going to switch, so I double switch again, grabbing more momentum each turn. Still, I’m at a huge loss, as the pairing is still 4-6 against me. Turn 47 electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Heatran! MAGIC123 called Jirachi back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (ha ha, gotcha)59% VS 54% (Durr) <-- ![]() Turn 48 electrolyte: Latios is quite weak MAGIC123: is it frail? electrolyte: eh electrolyte: 110 SpD MAGIC123: or do you mean its a weak attacker Heatran used Sunny Day! The sunlight turned harsh! The foe's Politoed used Hypnosis! The attack of the foe's Politoed missed! (Y mad?) 59% VS 60% (Hurr) It was quite obvious that his ugly Toed would come racing in, so I switched to Heatran to try to trap it again. I use Sunny Day, and luckily his Hypnosis misses. I hate to rely on hax to win major momentum in a match, but it really helped me here. Turn 49 MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Jirachi! Heatran used SolarBeam! Heatran absorbed light! It's not very effective... The foe's Jirachi lost 11% of its health! The foe's Jirachi fainted! MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! 4-5 MAGIC (you have escaped for now) 59% VS 0%<-- ![]() He sends in Jirachi for fodder, knowing I would SolarBeam. I’m strong enough to take him out still, and his fat little star is gone, clearing the way for a potential Latios sweep later. He sends out Tornadus-T again, to once again try to KO me. Turn 50 electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Jumpluff! The foe's Tornadus-Therian used Superpower! It's not very effective... Jumpluff lost 30% of its health! The foe's Tornadus-Therian's Attack fell! The foe's Tornadus-Therian's Defense fell! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost some of its HP! Jumpluff restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (That the best you can do?) 50% VS I know he’s going to Superpower again, so I switch to Jumpluff. In the Sun, I outspeed him and can lock him into Superpower. The stat drops are really helping out, because he’s either forced to switch or try to hit with a 50% accuracy move. Turn 51 MAGIC123 called Tornadus-Therian back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Jumpluff used Substitute! Jumpluff put in a substitute! Jumpluff lost 25% of its health! (girl you lookin nice) 31% VS 71% (annoying little puffball is annoying) <-- Here, I go for Substitute, as it’s the safest option, just in case he goes for U-Turn/Hurricane/Heat Wave (should he even have it) He instead directly switches into his Latios, which he would probably use to try to break my Substitute. Turn 52 MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Magnezone! Jumpluff used Leech Seed! The foe's Magnezone was seeded! The sunlight faded. The foe's Magnezone restored HP using its Leftovers! I am really confused right there, because I had no idea why he would even switch Latios in if he was going to go right for Magnezone anyway. Turn 53 Jumpluff used Sleep Powder! The foe's Magnezone fell asleep! The foe's Magnezone is fast asleep. The foe's Magnezone's health is sapped by Leech Seed! (I love spreading disease) 75% VS Seeded 59% (try to seduce me now I dare you)<--![]() I Sleep Powder his robot, because I don’t want any more Thunder/Charge Beam crap. His comment in the chat reveals that he was actually baiting me to put his bot to sleep- so he could switch in Latios without fearing sedation. You can’t blame him; his Latios was asleep nearly the whole match, it would have driven me crazy too. Turn 55 Jumpluff used Sleep Powder! Sleep Clause activated. The foe's Latios used Dragon Pulse! Jumpluff's substitute faded! The foe's Latios's health is sapped by Leech Seed! (I will bitch) 93% VS 47% (ha ha you fail)Turn 56 MAGIC123: yep electrolyte: I know it doesn't work electrolyte: I'm just stalling MAGIC123: my latios, looking at your team, can do some serious work as long as your lati is gone MAGIC123: now that it cannot go to sleep, hopefully i can win MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! Jumpluff used Substitute! Jumpluff put in a substitute! Jumpluff lost 25% of its health! (time to stall) 74% VS I just Sleep Powder his Latios, because there is really nothing else I can do. No, I’m not a noob, and yes, I know what Sleep Cause is. I just had nothing else to do, and I just wanted to burn of PP and stall. He Dragon Pulses to break my Sub, and then switches to Tornadus as I make another Sub. Turn 57 The foe's Tornadus-Therian used U-turn! Jumpluff's substitute faded! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost some of its HP! MAGIC123 called Tornadus-Therian back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Jumpluff used Substitute! Jumpluff put in a substitute! Jumpluff lost 25% of its health! It doesn't affect the foe's Ferrothorn... (you shall be spared for now…) 61% VS 100% (*falls off the ceiling*) <-- He again grabs momentum by U-Turning and breaking my Sub. I again go for another Substitute, because I knew he would break my old one, and since my Sun faded I no longer outsped him. He switched to Latios, beating my Leech Seed, and retarded as I am, I fell for it as he switched to Ferrothorn. Now I was in a really bad position, because the last thing I wanted was hazards to be up and Tenta to be gone. Turn 59 electrolyte called Jumpluff back! electrolyte sent out Heatran! (don’t look at it for too long) 35% VS 76% (Durr) <-- I switch to Heatran to try to feign offensive plans- but in turn going for the Sunny Day as his ugly Toed comes back in yet again to try to wall me. I silently thank all of the people who brought up this set for allowing me to screw with Politoed so many times. |

Turn 61
electrolyte called Heatran back! electrolyte sent out Latios! MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! --> (You’re still not as fashionable as me) 82% VS 47% (say it to my face bitch) <-- ![]() Turn 62 MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Ferrothorn! Latios used Hidden Power! It's super effective! The foe's Ferrothorn lost 100% of its health! The foe's Ferrothorn fainted! electrolyte: yes MAGIC123 sent out Latios! (yeah, take it like a man) 82% VS 47% (Imma show you REAL fashion) <-- FAINTED 0% <-- ![]() 4-4 TIE Okay, so this is probably the climax of the match. I know that his only two answers to Heatran are Politoed and Latios. His Politoed was in and Sun was up, so he couldn’t win that war. So what does he go to? Latios, what else did you think. I then double switch to my own Latios, and once again pretend to aim for the kill. Because I know that he knows that Politoed can’t come back in, I go for the HP Fire- to nail Ferrothorn/Magnezone, because they are the only pokemon that can take a Draco Meteor. He sends in Ferro, and I literally knock over my Soda as I jump up and do a little dance. He then calls out his own Latios to try to revenge kill. Turn 63 electrolyte: that's what I was aiming for MAGIC123: dammit.now tht jumpthing is more dangerous electrolyte: yep electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Heatran! The foe's Latios used Draco Meteor! It's not very effective... Heatran lost 34% of its health! The foe's Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! Heatran fainted! electrolyte: ! electrolyte: wtf electrolyte sent out Latios! 3-4 MAGIC --> 0% FAINTED --> (say that again?) 82% VS 47% (my beauty is impeccable)I send in Heatran to take the Draco Meteor, but it did a lot more than I thought it would, and I am down another pokemon. And shit, Politoed didn’t even die yet. I send in my own Latios yet again to revenge. With two of his Steels taken out and his only steel left asleep, I know that now it is time to Draco. SPAM THAT DRACO METEOR Turn 64 MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! Latios used Draco Meteor! The foe's Politoed lost 65% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! The foe's Politoed restored HP using its Leftovers! (THIS MOVE WAS MADE FOR ME) 82% VS 17% (Durr) <-- I don’t know what the heck is with Politoed, because it took both my Terrakion’s Banded Close Combat AND my Latios’s Scarfed Draco Meteor. If you look at it, Politoed’s defenses look like crap, so I have no idea how it keeps tanking my team’s strongest attacks. Whatever, because it’s a 2HKO. Turn 65 electrolyte: Latios is piss weak MAGIC123 called Politoed back! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! Latios used Draco Meteor! It's super effective! The foe's Latios lost 59% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! (YOU WON’T SURVIVE) 82% VS 16% (I hope you learned something bitch) <-- ![]() He switches into his own Latios, knowing he could survive a -2 Draco Meteor, because believe it or not Latios actually has pretty decent Special Defense. Still, it does a huge chunk, enough for a 2HKO (again) Turn 66 electrolyte: like wtf MAGIC123 called Latios back! MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! Latios used Draco Meteor! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost 30% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! (stop running bitches) 82% VS He now switches again to Tornadus-T, and tanks that -4 Draco Meteor. I know that Latios is my only counter to this Tornadus, and my only ticket to victory, so I switch to Ninetales not only to death fodder but also so switch the weather back to sun and hopefully make Hurricane miss. Turn 67 electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Ninetales! Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays! The foe's Tornadus-Therian used Hurricane! The attack of the foe's Tornadus-Therian missed! Ninetales restored HP using its Leftovers! --> (you take your rest teammate) 47% VS It looks good for me at this point; I only needed to hit Tornadus with one Flamethrower and then Latios can finish it off later. I was quite lucky that Hurricane missed, because it would have almost erased my chances of winning. Turn 68 The foe's Tornadus-Therian used Hurricane! The attack of the foe's Tornadus-Therian missed! Ninetales used Flamethrower! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost 53% of its health! (mm chicken) 53% VS SO YES Hurrimiss misses again (see? I’ve caught on) I slam him with a Flamethrower, and it does a decent 53%- clearing the path for Latios to sweep. I know that he’s going to be forced to switch now, because Tornadus-T is his only ticket to victory. I just select Flamethrower again, because his Latios can’t take it; nor can he risk me double switching to Latios should he send out Politoed. His only choice is sacking Magnezone, which is exactly what I wanted gone. Turn 69 MAGIC123 called Tornadus-Therian back! MAGIC123 sent out Magnezone! Ninetales used Flamethrower! It's super effective! The foe's Magnezone lost 75% of its health! The foe's Magnezone fainted! MAGIC123 sent out Latios! (I can’t eat this crap) 59% VS 16% (you’re too fat) <-- FAINTED 0% <-- 3-3 TIE So he sacks his Magnezone, who wouldn’t have been very useful because it was lazily taking its beauty sleep (but really, I can’t see how it could get very much prettier) Ninetales has done its job now, so I don’t flinch when he calls in his Latios to revenge kill. Turn 70 The foe's Latios used Draco Meteor! Ninetales lost 59% of its health! The foe's Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! Ninetales fainted! electrolyte: hey, do you have a smogon account? electrolyte sent out Latios! 0% FAINTED --> (you did well my friend) 82% VS 16% (Imma die with FASHION) 2-3 MAGIC You did well, Ninetales. I send out my own Latios to revenge kill, and hopefully force him to switch. I just need to dispose of Tornadus and I’m good. Turn 71 Latios used Draco Meteor! It's super effective! The foe's Latios lost 16% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! The foe's Latios fainted! electrolyte: I would like to make a warstory out of this match MAGIC123 sent out Politoed! The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain! (you never had any fashion at all) 82% VS 23% (Durr) <-- 0% FAINTED 2-2 TIE He sends out his ugly bulky Toed again, and I know that I can’t take him out because of his Leftovers recovery. I know he’s going to Ice Beam, and I didn’t want to risk losing Latios, so I sacked Jumpluff. Turn 72 electrolyte: because it was absolutely awesome MAGIC123: this match was epic electrolyte called Latios back! electrolyte sent out Jumpluff! The foe's Politoed used Ice Beam! It's super effective! Jumpluff lost 69% of its health! Jumpluff fainted! electrolyte: yeah electrolyte sent out Latios! 1-2 MAGIC --> (it’s for a good cause) FAINTED 0%--> (I’m back TO WIN THIS TIME) 82% VS 30% (Durr)Jumpluff goes down to Ice Beam, allowing Latios to erase his stat drops and come back to hit as hard as possible. I ran a calculation (I know, sue me) and found out that Surf wouldn’t KO Politoed even in the Rain even at 30%- so I was forced to Draco. LET THE DRACO SPAMMING RESUME Turn 73 Latios used Draco Meteor! The foe's Politoed lost 30% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! The foe's Politoed fainted! electrolyte: gg MAGIC123: best games i have ever had MAGIC123: tomorrow is my exam MAGIC123 sent out Tornadus-Therian! 1-1 TIE (finally I don’t have to look at that thing anymore) 82% VS ![]() It’s quite obvious that one of us is going to win at the end of the turn, so I say my GG’s (yeah, because I’m a nice guy) I cross my fingers that I can KO even at -2. Turn 74 electrolyte: lol electrolyte: gg MAGIC123: goofing off was worth it Latios used Draco Meteor! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost 44% of its health! Latios's Special Attack harshly fell! So yeah, my heart exploded, and I went to the hospital to get a transplant. DRACO METEOR DIDN’T KO. I screamed in my head, and knew that I had lost. I got ready to be rocked by a Hurricane, and bid farewell to Latios. The foe's Tornadus-Therian used Hurricane! Latios lost 81% of its health! The foe's Tornadus-Therian lost some of its HP! The foe's Tornadus-Therian fainted! electrolyte won the battle! (I’M A BOSS) 1% VS 1-0 electrolyte … Hurricane didn’t KO. IT DIDN’T KO. Latios lived with ONE HP. ONE HP! MAGIC’s valiant bird failed to KO, and fell to its own recoil. Latios and I had won. Sun Stall had overcome Rain! We exchanged gg’s, commented on how awesome the match was, and parted. I ran some calculations, and found that 252 neutral LO Hurricane from Tornadus-T did 70-82%- which means that I narrowly survived the hit and won. PROPS
SLOPS
VIP: ![]() LATIOS. My team is a stall team, but my cleaner ended up being the most important player. He not only survived to sweep, but also took out half of MAGIC’s team and applied constant pressure and preventing his Tornadus-T and Latios from sweeping in the beginning of the match. Latios also took a lot of hits for the rest of the team. He is definitely the VIP! Please unfasten your seat belts, and exit the carts in an orderly manner. I hope you enjoyed the match, and weren’t terribly bored. If you did enjoy the match, leave a comment and a Luvdisc! :D Have a nice day! |

Decent for a first warstory, however, the descriptions weren't very good, and your attempts to be "funny" were kinda meh. I don't know why but the formatting kinda hurt my eyes also and it was difficult to read.
4/10, not that great but you've got a promising future! |

Alright, now I've actually read it. The Sky Screamer analogy (a ride I've been on btw) worked out pretty well, and it was a close battle, which is always fun to read. Unlike XxpokemonmasterxX, I found your formatting easy to read, though I really felt it could have been a little neater. I have to say some of your attempts at being funny were hit or miss, but the few you hit on the spot were not overdone and were somewhat amusing. Just pay a little more attention to spacing.
7/10 imo

The formatting was fine imo, but what I didn't like was the constant "omg i'm so retarded" lines. The battle itself was decent, but you made a lot of questionable plays, and there was quite a bit of luck throughout. Otherwise I enjoyed it; good first warstory :P

Reading this was not a bad way to start the morning. I felt like the hax was at least balanced, you got haxed in the beginning and him at the end. You made some pretty great predictions with Latios, allowing you to win the game. I'd like this to get more attention because warstories are important to me so luvdisc. GG yes re.

Decent enough, though you did make a few beginner mistakes.
For one, you described what happened the previous turns far too often. We have the logs in front of us, and can read what happened. What we need you to tell us is what impact that past move has on your position in the match, why you made the move you did and your next plans. You did include the stuff you needed to, don't get me wrong, but all the recapping was just wasted text. Also there were a few formatting errors (IE. Seeded). I suggest that next time before you post it that you click the "preview post" button and go through the warstory and make sure all the formatting is correct before you post it. Also I think the bold HP percentages and Poke-banter followed by the bold comments caused it to look a little bit messy, so in the future you might want to find a different way to distinguish your comments from the data. As the others have said some of your attempts at humor were hit and miss, and really there was a lot of hax involved (I don't know how you could say there wasn't). While I don't really begrudge the hax as much as most people do, I do begrudge the jokes that fell flat. I feel like you'd do better with a more analytical style of warstory than a humorous one, since a lot of your attempts at humor felt rather forced. Not a bad effort by any means but there's plenty of room for improvement. Just keep trying and you'll get it right!

That was a pretty good warstory overall. I thought the format was neat, and your commentary was pretty good. The analogy to the Sky Screamer was definitely an interesting way to approach the story.
There was a lot of hax in this match, but that is probably a factor of the match being so long. As mentioned above, the hax did seem to balance out in the end. You played Heatran very well! I will have to capture and train one with that set eventually. |

Thank you everyone for your input! A main reason why it's a bit sloppy is because it was a really long match- and, because I had no idea that Zarel's warstory creator existed, I had to do a lot of it by hand.
As for my humor being, eh, I tried to keep it consistent as possible. It's really hard to make Stall interesting (because who wants to read about 30 turns of toxic stall?) I will try my best in the future. As for the formatting, you're right it's kind of bad- but again, because this match was just sooo long there was a lot I had to do and it took me ages. I'm probably going to use a warstory creator from now on, as again, I had no idea it existed until today (and by now it was too late) Hax- I usually experience a lot more than this. I for one think the hax was balanced; missing a 75% accurate move twice is in my opinion not that hard to do (same chance of a crit) I guess there might have been a lot of hax, but, wether it matters or not, I can not tell from here. Once again, thank you for your answers everyone! I'm glad this entertained most of you. I appreciate the Luvdisc's too! Thanks again! |

Nice warstory electrolyte. At first i didn't want to read it be cause of the 70 turn thing, but i'm glad i did. It was definitely amusing, and funny too, but i agree with omicron about bashing yourself. You made a lot of good plays especially with the double switches and imo earned the victory, since you did outplay Magic. Keep up the good work!

That was one of the best battles I've ever had in my life. But I want to tell you somethings that you didn't know.
Firstly,I live in exactly on the other side of the world.Which means,if it is 12 noon in your country, which is America,it is 12 midnight in my country, which is Singapore. We had the battle sometime around then,so I was battling at 12 midnight. To make matters worse, the next day happened to be my exam,so if my parents were at home and they saw me with my laptop, they would have slashed me with a knife. At about turn 50,my parents called to see if I was asleep yet,and they were surprised that I was still awake. Being at such a mental state,it's a miracle that I didn't get 4-0'ed or 5-0'ed instantly.I was like "C'mon, lets get this over with quick!".If you analyse the battle carefully,I mostly relied on hax and luck to come close to winning.I also made very obvious plays which can easily be predicted and played around.I usually don't play like this, like in our second battle, you saw that I kept my Ferrothorn in front of your Ninetales's face, setting up a layer of spikes while you obviously substitute. And finally,I also designed my team to be a semi-stall team like yours. Tornadus-T and Latios will keep offensive pressure on the opponent while the others set up entry hazards and wall the opponent(not to mention spread status). There are a few problems with this team, like Landorus-Incarnate and Mamoswine absolutely decimates this team.Despite its shortcomings,it is a solid team overall and I liked it. The Latios is an embarrassing mistake on my part.See through the entire battle and you will find Latios's moveset: Draco Meteor,Dragon Pulse,Surf,Recover.Yes."Wait,aren't you the trick+iron ball variant?",I hear you say?Well,NO.The mistake was in the EV spread. It was supposed to be 4--0-0-252-0-252+.It was mistakenly invested as 252--0-0-252+-4-0(which explains the reduced percentage of HP loss from Magma Storm). It's item was Draco Plate for it to fake a choice item and boosting the power to Draco Meteor which I prefer over expert belt(which explains the surprising amount of damage done on Heatran).A bulky Latios now that I think about it counters sun stall well and is my only switch-in to Ninetales other than Politoed. You were running a very interesting Heatran set and it has gained popularity.I want to know more about it. So,like I said before, that was the best game I ever had and I hope we battle again. |

I think that 74 turns are too much for a warstory, but formatting was ok, commmentary also.
Maybe next time try to avoid repeating "The foe's Politoed's Drizzle made it rain!" or "Ninetales's Drought intensified the sun's rays!" 7/10 for the effort in such a long warstory |

Great read.
I am no amazing battler, but personally I would've called your bluff on HP fire and Draco Meteor-ed Latios' ass after the first time. But hey, that's just me - and probably why I'm still team testing on PO where people use Mudkip in OU (reason I got given when asking why they were using Mudkip: because he's cute AND strong). |
