Are casters needed?

I was wondering is their a need for a "caster" or commentator like myself within the poke-community and I'm not just saying smogon. When I used to battle in Diamond and Pearl their were too huge YouTube commentators or casters I prefer to call them because I come from the StarCraft scene. They were Uutton and Gigatitan but sadly their declined their YouTube channels and even Uutton closed his account over time.

Now I'm asking you guys personally is their a need for me to become a Pokemon caster as well? I have plenty experience casting from StarCraft and I will continue that endeavor. However, I only ask this because I have been so far away from this scene I don't really know how it operates too well anymore haha.

The other question I must ask is which content is preferred now? There is the online Pokemon battling system smogon uses. There is the actual game itself. Now for me or really anyone which is more popular in terms of competitive content? Because competition is what I'd be aiming to cast if it is needed of course.

Looking at a technical side of things as well. The battle simulator is much easier to capture and record commentary over. I've really yet to find a reliable way to capture a DS Lite screen very well. I've tried many different camera at my house and the best appears to be my iPad Camera lol. So I wonder how do you or someone go about capturing a DS screen? Hey, if you're looking to narrate for Smogon, go to the Smogon Youtube subforum here, see if there are any battles that need narrations, and give it a go.

If you could also give me a sample of your narration, that would be great. Thanks~

Well I've yet to actually cast pokemon specifically, if you want my actuall commentary http://www.youtube.com/iccupstarcrafttv that is our channel. I'm Fitz in the videos. Ill be sure to try some commentary as I am new to competitive battling
