I don't think Life Points would ever be the tie breaker in a situation like this, nobody wants to be eliminated because they used judgment for game.

agreed, a win is a win, if you have to use backs to the wall or nible mongoma, you still won. I'd suggest a tie breaker matches with someone outside the group, whoever has the best results moves on.
