[Overview]

Two viable sets that have different counters make trying to counter Samurott a guessing game (a la salamence)
Has access to moves that give it a good niche over the competition (like Megahorn)
Good mixed offenses and good attacking movepool make it a formidable sweeper
Respectable defenses mean it can take a hit
Not many things can switch in, especially with hazards
Kinda slow

EVs for speed letting it outspeed neutral nature base 80s and lower (Kabutops, Gallade, Feraligatr)
Superpower can be used over Megahorn to hit Ferroseed and Clefable if you aren't worried about Slowking
Surf can be used over Hydro Pump if you find yourself consistently missing
Samurott appreciates hazards to make it harder to switch into
Many sweepers enjoy the wallbreaking potential of this set, special mention to Braviary, Accelgor and Swellow due to them beating the grass types that beat rott while rott also beats their counters

With Toxic Spikes support (for quagsire) Samurott can be dangerous to stall
Accelgor and Scolipede both make good partners due to them: being fast, able to set up hazards, being good switch-ins to grass pokemon
Fire type pokemon like Moltres, Magmortar, and Entei are good because they can beat Samurott's main counter: Ferroseed
CB Drapion can help pursuit faster Pokemon that wish to revenge Samurott

[Other Options]

You can run Choice band to hit with pwr, using either Superpower, Night Slash, or Dragon Tail over Swords Dance; with Superpower as the preferred move
Choice specs can be used with the Mixed attacker set for more pwr
Air Slash can be used on the mix attacker for hitting Ludicol
A physically defensive spread 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd is usable with a good support movepool such as Encore, Taunt, D-Tail and the pwrful Copycat
Taunt can be used over Megahorn on the Mixed Attacker set

[Checks and Counters]

The Mixed Attacker is very difficult to counter due to good coverage and power to back it up
Fast Grass type pokemon such as Sceptile, Rotom-C, Lilligant, and Sawsbuck can attempt to revenge Samurott
Any special attacker over base 70 Speed that can OHKO can revenge the Mixed set
Poliwrath can wall and set up on the Swords Dance set
Ferroseed walls all sets (except for band) and can set up hazards on Samurott
Quagsire walls the Swords Dance set due to its ability
Qwilfish does a good job countering SD Samurott by typing + Intimidate as well as setting up spikes
Altaria can wall the Swords Dance set and potentially set up on it
Certain would-be checks to the Swords Dance set need to be careful of a +2 Aqua Jet (especially if Torrent is active)

I use this over feraligatr because it can OHKO slowking and tangrowth at +2, I think swords dance should be the first set.

I already talked to you on irc about this but ill sum up the changes here.

1) Make sure to mention an adamant nature in the Ac of the swords dance set, it provides some more power to its aqua jet so it can take down foes like manectric at +2, but you miss out on things like adamant absol. (we might want this slashed later, not sure yet)

2) Make sure to give rotom-C special mention as one of the best teammates for samurott (I know its already mentioned, but its an excellent teammate). Using volt switch to grab momentum from rott's usual switch ins is amazing. Also, a well played volt switch can get samurott in for free. In return, rott can destroy the ground types that force rotom-C to use leaf storm, and give it more freedom when using volt switch.

3) for the Ac of the mixed set, mention that most sweepers enjoy samurott's wallbreaking capabilities. Give Swellow, Braviary, and Accelgor special mention for being able to defeat the grass types that rott hates, while samurott breaks their counters into pieces in return.

You might want to mention Mystic Water in AC of Swords Dance. Life Orb recoil is really nasty for Swords Dance Samurott, especially when it is unable to take advantage of Torrent effectively because it dies after 2-3 more attacks. Mystic Water (or Splash Plate) powers up 2/3 of Samurott's attacks and doesn't make Samurott lose 10% health every time it attacks. Just something to think about.

Yeah, I agree with DTC, and it was the first thing I really thought of--I want a big mention of Splash Plate (Mystic Water is a foolish item name) in the Swords Dance set. Likewise, remove the line in the OO that says "Air Slash can be used for Ludicolo in the Mixed set"...you have Megahorn for that. Make Swords Dance the first set.

You should slash Aqua Jet on the Mixed Attacker. It allows Samurott to revenge kill Moltres, Entei, Typhlosion, Aero etc...

Also, I think this spread could work better on the Mixed Attacker :

84 Atk / 180 SpA / 244 Spe

EVs in Attack allow to 2HKO Roselia and OHKO Aerodactyl and Typhlosion After SR and Torrent while the EVs in Speed allow to outspeed neutral nature base 80s.
