16.5 rounds up to 17, in case you forgot. Also, Brick Break deals (8 + 3) * 1.5 = 16.5 Damage as Lileep has Rank 4 Defense. Basically Lileep takes 2 less damage and Timburr takes 1 more damage.

With that in mind, Protect incurs an additional 16.5/2.5 = 6.6 En as Drain Punch would also do 16.5 Damage bar a crit.
