Updating the sprites to higher resolution?

Would that be possible? Who would I have to contact to help with that?

What sprites are you talking about? If you're talking about the Pokemon sprites, they're the same ones as from the games, so they can't get any more hi-res. If you're talking about the attack animations, I don't know what to tell you.

Also, I'm pretty sure stuff like this can go here... Don't quote me on that though.
