Pokémon X and Y Discussion

Yellow cat thingy reminds me of Nyan cat, which I am unsure about is a good thing or not... It is also really interesting that the "leak" has two real pictures we already know, which look different to the other, "new" ones. Pay attention to the black outlines and shading. Also, the new pokemon look really flat, like Nyan cat, and their battle arena is shot from a different, much farther away, angle than we saw in the real trailer.

Still though, Nintendo's game engine has to have the ability to run a transformation sequence where one thing is animated to actively look like it's changing into something new. In BW, the spinning of the blocks worked, because in a split second, they replaced the old pokemon's visual/graphic data with it's evolved forms. Bulbasaurs blocks are spinning, and then suddenly there are more blocks spinning before they collect to shape Ivysaur. to the unobservant eye, it really looks like Bulbasaurs mass grew during its evolution. I'd like to see if they have access to the kinds of things professional animators and film editors use in Cinema 4D when something's transforming in a movie, or if they can do something similar to the protagonists transformation sequences in Prototype.

I'm pretty sure that blue thing's arms are Banette's. Also the MCs have really poorly drawn fists.

The fakes from last week (the hooded bird and pink worm) were 10x better and actually looked like Pokemon (here's looking at you, Nyaanchu).

No Pokemon should learn sketch lv up save smeargle... However someon with it as an egg move would be pretty amazing... He would have access to any one move, plus his normal level up moves... That's pretty neat and original...

Serebii's normally so good at not slipping up, but he was a bit presumptuous earlier today and made a post saying that Yveltals typing was confirmed. He quickly realized it wasn't real and deleted it, but it got a certain french forum in a tizzy. Did this put a damper on anyones wishful thinking?

Also, on a separate note:
I know the subject has passed, but I saw this mentioned a couple pages back when I couldn't post and wanted to say something about it.

People were mentioning "french-based pokemon". A french fry pokemon, a fashion pokemon, a thin-moustache pokemon. And I do not understand. Why would they do that? Was there a single pokemon in Generation 5 that was sterotypically American? The closest I would say would be the Vanilluxe line, and I wouldn't really consider that too "American". We had more egyptian pokemon with Cofagrigus than true american pokemon.

So don't have high hopes for any pokemon willing to fart in your general direction, if you know what I mean.

Hard to tell if your making a joke or serious, but just to let you know in case you don't, that was fake and serebii made a mistake and took it down, so Yveltal may not be dragon dark.

Then again, you could be joking and I might not be able to tell in which case I look kinda stupid.

Dragon/Dark wouldn't be horrible, but they just did Hydreigon. It'd have to have a much better ability, stats, or movepool to distinguish itself. (And we all know that Hydreigon's typing doesn't really do it any favors.)

I don't think ghost/steel needs levitate thematically, it just needs it to be broken competitively, haunted armor stories here in Spain never deceipted flying armor sets, just empty armor sets moving by themselves, with rather clumsy movements and freaking slow. The only thing I could see given to it is Heatproof.

See, heatproof makes no sense IMO. And I just don't see this as being a full out set of armor. It has to be floating because it's a ghost... otherwise it'll just be A SUIT OF ARMOR! LOL!
