Ninfia is clearly light (or other new type) type,

1. it doesn't really look like any other existing type (people are just trying too hard see it as one)

2. it resembles a Celestial Nymph ( probably where its name comes from) http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-x2i8E2EoHk..._phoenixlu.jpg

and thus being divine or from heaven, possibly a divine type.

3. look on the left page, it is sparkling.

4. an eevee evolution is the perfect way to introduce a new type, there is only one new type so thats why there were no more eevee evolutions revealed

Am I the only person who actually doesn't like ninfia's design? Eeveelutions are supposed to be blunt, a one color, one thing going on design. Ninfia has ribbon or something coming out of it and has a bow on; too much for an eeveelution. :(

Besides that though, it is interesting. It fits 2 types, normal and psychic. Both of these are already Eevee or an eeveelution, meaning it must be something else. I don't know why people are saying flying type; yes it looks agile, but most flying types either can or evolve into something that can fly. Are you telling me that we are getting Eeeveeelutions!?
Most likely poison, since it is agile and graceful like a ninja. It could also be seen as a light purple rather than a pink.

Admittedly, "clearly" probably shouldn't be used. But the light type speculation is no more out-there than your flying, kite-based eeveelution speculation.

yeah, but you did suggest those types albeit at first. (go back and check if you don't remember). Because I had to process all that info, I made it a rule when people suggested - It looked to me like you were suggesting them, not just randomly mentioning them - multiple types that I wouldn't spend even more time trying to figure out what their favourite was. but thanks for letting me know what yours is (sorry i just had too much data on my hands to notice you'd changed your mind) I will edit the results now. edit - just noticed you're now back in favour of light type (when before you said it should look more lighty if its gonna be light or something like that). so ima change the stuff.

ha sorry dude! i actually saw your posts, but i couldn't tell what type you'd decided on! (i can't remeber exactly why I couldn't tell, I may have thought you were being sarcastic or something else.) whats your opinion? you're allowed up to 3 (as that seems to be the maximum most people have made)

Edit: oviously I've added all the new data above me, and I will add Wazzup's if I get it, but I'm not gonna keep updating the poll. Because I just wanted to get a rough idea on the speculations. I'll change results if turns out I made a mistake in someone I've already counted like in narut3ndo's case. (one of my mistakes was reading his posts. just kidding dude. I've worked out that you went for light and newtype in the end.)

I personally think Ninfia will be flying type - if it were normal, it would have a much darker coat, with a colour similar to Eevee's, not pink. Ninfia and eevee would look very similar too. Poison seems unlikely, seeing as it has no poison-like traits (poison gas, acid, etc). And who thought up Dragon? Dragons are supposed to be fearsome, and this is the complete opposite. I mean, Altaria is an exception, but if they were making a dragon eeveelution, they would have made it a lot more obvious - and the only evidence supporting the "dragon" theory is the type colourings, which isn't a lot. Flying on the other hand seems a lot more likely - it looks graceful, and capable of gliding through the air. It could be any of the types I mentioned, just that flying definitely seems viable and the most likely to me.
Look at this screenshot from the scans. If those aren't feathers, I don't know what they are.

Ok, after I've seen the Corocoro image, my first guesses for Ninfia's types were, in order, these: Normal, New Type, Dragon. Now, after checking with the forum, I'm liking the Flying type possibility and agree with a lot of the speculations. Now, this "bug" type theory. Are we even looking at the same Pokemon? I try to respect everyone's opinions because this IS the internet, but all I've heard to back up your claims is that the bows on Ninfia resemble butterfly wings and it has big eyes. It's already been said that all bows are of that shape, so it's not a solid reason. And the bit about the eyes, strangely enough, Eevee is the one of its family to have the biggest eyes, so if anything, this is a plus to the Normal type theory. Now, why do I believe Dragon? Because the coloring scheme reminded me of Dragon, and not Normal. Once I remembered that 3rd gen's Dragon icon's color resemble Ninfia's name's color and Ninfia itself, I felt quite strong about this. Not only that, but it has been said that Dragon is the only original "special" type before gen IV. But yes, it's coloring could also mean Normal, but somebody mentioned that maybe gen VI will have new type icons, possibly giving Dragon the same color scheme as before. And yes, if GF wants to introduce a new type, Ninfia is a great way to do it. Another backup to my Dragon theory would definitely have to be the Zekrom/Reshiram movies. They talked about how all life used this "Dragon energy" in the earth. Maybe this new region is bursting with this Draconic energy? Maybe they'll be a new item that symbolizes this? As the eeveelutions have introduced a new evolving method with them. But, yeah, I can very easily lean towards Flying type. As long as it's not Fire/Fighting >_>

Jabroni, if you're still counting, here are my picks in order from most likely to least IMO:

Dragon is mainly motivated by the "last special type" logic. But not all dragons look fearsome, Dragonite, Kingdra, Flygon and the Latis join Altaria as "exceptions" to what's really not a strong rule.

I still see no possible way its just another one type eevolution joining the bunch. It simply doesn't match up with the naming pattern they've always done.

It has to be either a normal evolution or some different type of mechanic entirely.

with that being said no one should even expect a normal eeveelution to be the same color as eevee

@ Flaming Piranha - The other evidence is that Dragon is the only previously-Special type not given an Eeveelution. Eeveelutions are seemingly all about patterns, so it makes a certain amount of sense for this one to be Dragon.

As for fearsomeness, Dratini is adorable, and Dragonite looks downright friendly in most depictions.

I wonder if Ninfia's English name will be revealed shortly after the official Japanese reveal? So far, they have tried not to let the Japanese too much ahead, revealing everything in several different languages at once. GameFreak are probably very aware that most of the Pokémon fandom worldwide has picked up its existence by now. In the days of the Internet, there's no reason to keep stuff under wraps once it's been officially revealed in one country.

My... colourful... friend had a look at Ninfia, deemed it "flamboyantly gay" and christened it Lesbeon. That name will stick in my head for some time, but I'll try to call it Ninfia until we get a proper English name.

All I have to say about Ninfia is: Do NOT be Normal-type. If Ninfia is a Normal-type, it will probably just end up being one of those bad Normal-types that everyone forgets about. I just think that Normal has so many flaws that you cannot overcome with the stats/movepool of an Eeveelution.

If I had to pick a type... Well, as much as I want a Dragon-type Eeveelution, something tells me that seems unlikely on Ninfia. It doesn't really have any Dragon-like features, so I'm just ruling out Dragon-type right now. I say Flying, but I'm not going to complain if it isn't.
